Since a few people have made anniversary posts, I decided to make one of my own about my history here and all the friends I’ve made. ^^

Exactly one year ago on July 29th, I decided to join VR. After meeting several great friends here and having quite a few important moments, I can say that I’ve had an amazing time this past year. The first time I saw VR was when I was watching one of PRS’ remixes; specifically this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goSR5Z9ZqIs&feature=plcp I saw a link for this site in the description and decided to check it out. When thinking about joining, I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t fit in because I was never on a forum before; this would be my first one. When I got to the registration screen I had the option to choose a username. Interestingly, I first planned my username to not be “Reuniclus”, but instead “Oathkeeper&Oblivion” as in the 2 keyblades from Kingdom Hearts.

However, seeing as how I would be in a Pokémon forum, I decided to go with my favorite Pokémon, “Reuniclus” as a username instead. ^^ When I became fully registered, I was welcomed by Victini Bot, and proceeded to make a post in the Introduction thread (you can see my first post here:http://victoryroad.net/showthread.php?t=8724). The first person to welcome me here was none other than 7dewott8, who is currently my little sister and likes Grimsley. Having met my first friend on VR, I started becoming active on the forums, posting in threads that interested me the most. A few days later, I met PHANTOMxTRAINER and BlackRayquaza who were both exceptional battlers. We quickly became friends and started talking nearly everyday throughout August. Later that same night, I got a chance to talk to the owner of this site, Cat333Pokémon, although we wouldn’t really get to know each other until late December. The next few weeks, I met a ton more close friends such as Shiny, Aquablast, TRDRS Pokétrader, TurtwigX, and Elaine. My main goal at the time I joined VR was to conquer the Gym League and become the champion. Midway through August, I started the League challenge and got my first 2 badges. My badge collection then grew to 5 the following week into my birthday. I would say TRDRS and Spirit were the toughest gym leaders I’ve faced while challenging the league. A few days after enduring Hurricane Irene, I met SyracuvatTenlii, one of my closest friends on the forum. Syra introduced me to the concept of LPing videogames; something I’ve always wanted to try, but have been too shy to do. (I’m still a little shy when it comes to LPing ). We began talking about LPs, which reminds me of the first one I was shown (trust me, you won’t regret watching it ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5SxuMz5lgY.
As school began to start, I met more good friends including teamplasma, Firo, Marching12Step, Arceus Is Epic, and Twiggy. September was difficult for me, my activity dropped a little because of the classes I took. In the beginning of October, I met Cyrus, my first brother. ^^ We both shared an interest in battling and LPing, I have a lot of good memories talking with both Cyrus and Syra. :3Toward the end of October, I was chosen to be a Psychic gym leader in the VR Gym League. Even though I was unable to become the champion of the Gym League, being a Gym Leader was a great experience. =D While I was trying to find a way to get a design for a gym badge, I met GalliumGrant, who became a great friend almost immediately. He was able to make my old badge, which looks sick if I may say. (I’ll put a spoiler up of what my original badge looked like).

As November came along, I began to participate in Anime-Style Battling. While Shiny and Elaine had a petition for it, I decided to try battling a few members when the board was made. I also remember Syra owning me in my first battle with him. I also participated in my first RP in November, which was about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Even though the RP was short-lived, I enjoyed writing up my posts for it when I got the chance. Another close friend I met in November is Ditto616, my current battling rival. ^^ I met Quadcentruo, who also battled me a lot both for the Gym League and for fun. My battles with Quad made me realize that Shedinja deserves to be in the Uber tier and that Escavalier is the most evil Pokémon to me. ^_^’
December was probably the most eventful month during my time on VR next to August. After all of my finals were over, I was on VR a lot and got to see more members. It was then that I got to know Cat more while I was on winter break. What started off as a small friendship became a close brotherhood. Cat knows a lot about me (maybe even a little too much ), but I’m definitely glad I could meet him as he was, and still is, very important to me. ^^ While I was still on break, Ditto announced a Wifi Brawl tournament. While an ad about this tournament drew in a slew of new members, ThePokeMan…or TPM as everyone calls him, was one of them who became an active member on VR. Some memories I have with TPM include having nonstop MarioKart 7 races with him and Kid Icarus: Uprising matches. :3 I also met Madny while I was preparing for the Brawl tournament. ….I still can’t beat her when she’s Bowser, or when she decides to Bowsercide me. As New Years Eve came, I attended an ASB event and met GrassPokemonFTW. Grass is probably one of the nicest VR members I’ve met, I enjoy having conversations with him. ^^
January was another month where I had a lot of stuff happening to me. One of the first things that happened was that GalliumGrant introduced me to LugiaDialga, who is currently one of my closest friends here. :3 Even though I didn’t learn how to remix until mid-July, I still enjoyed listening to her remixes. I met Silverlands, one one of my close friends on VR at around this time. I always have fun talking to Silver, he's a great person to have as a friend. I also met ~Whimsicott~ in the beginning of January, who is another one of my closest friends here. I’m glad I got a chance to meet her, she really is a nice person to be around. ^^ Whimsi also just got wifi set up, so she can start battling! January was a month filled with Mariokart 7; I remember coming home after school everyday to play MK7 with TPM, Madny, Eagles, Yoshi (even though he beat me with a stupid Tanooki tail ), GreenMan (who liked to scare me =P), and AIE. SNES Rainbow Road was the best place to race.
February was just filled with…. annoying drama. While I lost my girlfriend IRL, there were people being dissatisfied with others on the site. Valentines Day was nice on here though, I felt like I was loved. ^^ About halfway through February, we had the Mariokart 7 tournament. I was lucky enough to advance to the final round with TPM, Quad, and Skillrider. While TPM took 1st place in the tournament, Quad and I took 2nd, and Skill took 3rd.
Nothing too eventful happened in March, so I’m gonna put March’s and April’s events together. I got a chance to talk to Eagles a lot; a good friend who I still miss. :< I did get to know a lot about the staff in the beginning of the month such as Shade and Quil. I also met IDischarge in the middle of March, who is an awesome person to talk to, I’m glad I got to be friends with that guy. ^^ I also met SuperPichu62 and Lux around the same time; they’re both quite nice to talk to, I like how they’re happy almost all the time. At the end of March, I downloaded Minecraft and spent a bit of time on the VR server with Eagles, Quad, Spiky, Shade, LD, and Quil. Even though I barely play anymore, I had fun while it lasted. :3 TurtwigX also came back to VR after a long break, so I was happy to see my Brawl buddy again~
May was the start of my Summer vacation where I began to try several new things. I participated in teamplasma’s spriting tournament, where I was a little worried since I have very little spriting experience, but I ended up getting second place for a few things which really surprised me. ^^ While I began getting back into duel monsters, I started to duel Soul a lot. I still can’t beat him very often, but I like competition. :3 I also remember playing through Earthbound in May and naming my characters after some of my friends here. I was Ness, 7dewott8 was Paula, Quad was Jeff, TurtwigX was Poo, and Vel was King (the dog).
Lots of stuff happened in June. Most notably: Vel’s Jeopardy. I remember having my fair share of dumb answers such as “Chex Mix” when the question was about a candy bar, and “Green” when there was a question about a Pokémon. I usually play Jeopardy with Vel, Nis, Turt, TPM, BU, AIE, and Cat. Late June, I had to leave VR for 1 week for a trip IRL. Even though I missed everyone while I was gone, I did manage to talk to about 2 of my friends to stay in good spirits. Later in June, I met Fubab 107 whose drawings are GOOD, even though he thinks otherwise. He’s also one of the calmest Meganiums I’ve ever met. I also got a chance to talk to Blood Swampert…Hoenn FTW. :3
July was pretty eventful too. Besides training up for the VR gym league, I participated in the recent VGC. My opponents in the VGC were Phantom, Emerald, Grass, and Kakashidragon. Whimsi also helped me prepare for the VR VGC. (I should be uploading a video about my VGC battles soon). Congrats to PHANTOMxTRAINER for advancing to the finals with me.^^ I also started learning how to remix a few weeks ago, even though my first remixes were horrible, I think I’ll be improving over time since I’m getting help from LD, Gallium, Plaz, and Cat. :3 About a week ago, I was promoted to Assist moderator to help out with the Battling section of the forums. As of now, I’m getting to know a few new members who recently joined the forums such as RaytwOST, Togelover, JD, and Paradox.

And…this is the end of my kinda long speech/rant. I just want to thank everyone for a great year on VR, and I’m excited for the next year to come. ^^

IF I were not shy, I'd have loved you even sooner if you had that name, as Oblivion is my fave Keyblade. But I'm happy that you have your current username, it's just more "you". ;3
It's been a happy year with you, and you've definitely proved yourself to be one of the most valuable and beloved members of VR seen in a year I do believe personally. Thank-you for sticking around here and joining this insanity and just being a friendly guy all around. And I must thank-you personally for becoming one of my closest friends as well, Reu. ^-^
I enjoyed reading your long story-like post as well... hehe, maybe I should do one as well since my official 2 year anniversary is next month though it's technically my 1 year one... interesting. Anyways, we're glad you joined, we're glad you stayed and we're glad you're here to start another year with us and make even more friends and spread your jello-love~!
