Given the popularity of these threads, I've got to now put up a couple rules:

  • Please keep all questions directed specifically at the person whose thread it is.
  • Please do not ask frivolous questions or requests. "Will you do _____?" is a primary example of this. Questions should not require the thread owner to do anything beyond possibly minimal research.
  • As for research, if you know the person doesn't engage themselves with something, please don't ask them questions related to it, such as asking someone who has never played Final Fantasy VII what their favorite tune from the game is. That would require the user to listen to the entire soundtrack before selecting a song.
  • Keep questions simple and do the point. Users won't usually want to explain something in more than a couple sentences, and they likely won't want to have to re-read your paragraph several times to understand what you're asking.

Thank you, and continue having fun!

You may use this thread to ask if a question is suitable.

So if one doesn't follow on of these rules while asking a question (accident or not) will this result in an infraction? Warning? Or just a polite "I can't answer that".

(Just helping the members so we all know :3)

Same question as TP, plus are we able to ask questions like that in the General Conversation Thread?

If someone doesn't follow a rule (whether it be accident or not), it will result in a warning. Repeated breaking of these rules will result in a 1 point infraction.

The General Conversation thread is just that - a general conversation. If the conversation drifts over to questions about each other somehow, then any question is suitable there.
