| No, I can't draw digitally | 3 | 16.67% |
I've been considering having a drawing competition for the Pokékaki almost since I released it, but I have had no idea who would participate. The competition would be strictly using the Pokékaki, meaning everyone is on level ground with the tools they get to use: ChibiPaint or Shi-Painter.
Would you participate? Be sure to vote.
1 – TurtwigXI wish I could have a combination answer. Yes, I'd love to do the competition, as my competitive spirit burns ferociously, but I know a whoooole lot of people draw about 100x better than me, so I'd also like to do it for fun, but without all the pity prizes.
2 – LugiaDialga, GalliumGrantI've been thinking of suggesting to have some artsy-fartsy contests for a while now, just it never once came to my mind when I was in a place to suggest it of course. I personally would love to do this, I think it'd be a lot of fun! Though, I'm rather competitive and can be a sore looser, however, I accept that I'm not that good of a drawer and that there are a handful of people here who are incredibly gifted at digital art who would no doubt be entering. But I will not let that stop me, I still love this idea a lot! Though I'll need to practice with the Oekaki a bit more, that thing is harder to draw in than SAI.
1 – Super Pichu62There is no topic yet, and no prizes have yet been decided. This thread is just to see who would be interested in such a thing.
1 – TurtwigXI can imagine it being pretty neat if in the end all the submissions were compiled into a collage, and the only prize was getting to be a part of it.
2 – Cat333Pokémon, 7dewott8Thanks for the feedback, everypony! I'm gonna get to working on the rules and try to have it up soon.
4 – Super Pichu62, 7dewott8, LugiaDialga, TwiggyAlso, I do suggest to start practicing now and get used to how to use the three different applets. Once you log in, you can choose here: http://pokekaki.com/draw_select.php

This gives me a great reason to spend hours with my lovely new old drawing tablet. I can't wait to develop some basic skill! : D
3 – Cat333Pokémon, 7dewott8, TwiggySometimes I start to envy people with drawing tablets and also these Windows tablets that can draw directly on the Oekaki.
But I'm sure that I can do well with just a mouse as long as I am careful with the points of lines and curves. Here goes...
1 – TurtwigXIf possible, I'd give you my tablet. It feels so awkward drawing directly on to my screen, I'm so used to looking down at a paper and watching the lines come off my pen, instead of the lines appear from the air on a screen.
I got my tablet in the cheapest of ways possible that's not a Thrift Store; cheap old computer show. They had a few cool things there, nice looking laptops, but the one thing that caught my eye was a little tablet. At the time I was animating, but it never really set off for me, and then I got in to sprite animation, so I let the tablet gather dust. No one I know has a tablet with the same NAME, even, but it works and draws and that's all that matters. (I'd like to know how to use it, though. Teaching myself is haaaaard.)
I would love to join in. But for some reason my mouse hand has really gone un-steady and seems as though it's shaking all the time... It's impossible for me to draw what even looks like a straight line, let alone a good curve line. And I may be part of the group who doesn't have access to a tablet... Maybe if I can steady my hand I may join in.
