How many tabs do you keep open on average? Do you prefer to keep the amount of tabs low? Or do you middle-click everything remotely interesting?

I think I'm in the latter group, sometimes racking up dozens of tabs.

I generally keep my tabs open to a minimum. I think the most amount of tabs I had actively had open was around 4 or 5. On average though, I keep 1-3 tabs open.

It depends on how long I've had it open. It starts with about four, and by the end of the day I have upwards of 12.

When I first turn on my computer, it's at a simple 5-10. Later in the day it's at a 10-20. When I keep it on for weeks, it averages usually around 15.
And when I'm on TVTropes, there are way too many to count. I'll say 30+

My max # of tabs is 4. Or sometimes 5 when I am clicking adopts. They are in order of importance at all times. Right is the biggest priority, left us least.

Depends on what I'm using the internet for... I usually have about 5 - 8 tabs open, I like to use the scroll-wheel to click URL's to view different things. But when i get into my various image hoarding modes or if I need to look up many pages about something or something of that sort, I can easily have anywhere from 20 - 30 tabs open. It's been so bad before where various youtube tabs started playing and I could not find them since the tabs were too tiny. >.>

I usually have about ten open, but when I start leaving things open to look at later, it can get into the upper teens. As it gets later in the evening or when it's getting close to when I may leave the computer, I usually try to clean out tabs that I no longer need. On the laptop, the average is slightly lower due to the smaller screen.

As many as I need. Usually around 4 but if I'm opening pictures in a gallery, I can open as many as 30.

12 seems to be a magic number for me. My peak is 50 when browsing wikis. However, a major source of tabs are reference images and tutorials, which later I removed them by favoriting them.

I remember the days when I was browsing memebase and I must feel the suspense of the punchline not being seen (out of scrolling) because the old version of ******* for Chrome freezes the browser for several seconds.

I haave lots open at once. One time i had 5 windows with about 13 tabs on each, my cpu reached 100

Whenever I start IE, I have 5 homepages: YouTube, Google, this site, and 2 others not-named-here. I rarely ever go past that 5, probably because I click out of 2-3 of them before I do something remotely important. Should I randomly wander onto TvTropes by accident, middle-click becomes my main method of moving around.

My average would have to be around 10, maybe more I tend to leave things open when I don't need them anymore.

For me it depends. It can range from 7 to over 20. Right now I have 18 open, around six of them related to VR.

15-20 because I middle click everything, and I'm a Redditor. Heck, I middle clicked this thread so I could middle click others too. I'm just sure to refresh it once I get to it. Google Chrome loves tabs. :3

Two or three depending on what I'm doing. Sometimes I leave pandora open with another site that has the sound of pouring rain. Make me feel classy.

I still try to make sure I don't have that many tabs open. Yes, I think having fifteen to twenty tabs open is crazy.

I only have up to a max of six but its usually more around more. Don't need one i close it right there.
