"Hello." George said sternly.

"Hello? Darla who are these people?" Thomas looked curiously at the strangers. "They're from the police department."

"Mr. Reddler we need to have a few words with you." George said as he pointed to the couch.

Thomas sat down. "Darla, did you offer this nice officers some tea?" Darla smiled. "No, I didn't have any already made."

"We're fine." George said as he reviewed his notes. "Your a doctor. Where do you work at?"

"The oncology department at Staping's Hospital." Thomas glanced at Claudia. He noticed she was quiet.

"Did you have a patient named..." George said as he looked at Claudia trying to gesture to her that he forgot the name.

"Adrianna Rachinello." Claudia filled in. "Yes I do. She is asthmatic and anemic."

"And... did you well... do anything that you regret doing?" George quickly added.

"I'm not quite sure what you mean?" Thomas looked curiously at the two of them. "Adrianna was found dead from her inhaler." Claudia looked suspiciously at Thomas. "I never touched her inhaler."

"Who do you think gave her it or can have possession of it?" George asked curiously.

"Her pediatrician should have her records, Kaine Velly." Thomas stood up and went to get a glass of water.

George wrote down a couple notes and waited for him to get back.

Thomas sat back down. "This there anything else officers?"

"Where?" George quickly pointed out. "Where is this person?"

"He's work on the Main St division." Thomas wrote down the directions to get there.

"Anything else?" George asked as he stood up and jotted a couple notes down.

"Yes, he a war vet. There are very hazardous substances in his lab. Be careful." Thomas looked at the two officers. "Like cyanide?" Claudia inquired. "Especially cyanide."

"Well it looks like we know who the supplier is. Or maybe even the killer. Listen if you learn something call us." George said as he threw a card down on the coffee table. "We'll be right over if you need us." George said as he signaled Claudia to leave.

Claudia followed George. She thought about Kaine. "Kaine Nelhybel. He changed his name after graduation to Kaine Velly."

"You know this man?" George asked as he stepped into the car.

"We graduated together." Claudia rolled her eyes.

"Oh I see." George said as he started the car.

"The Main street division is a speciality clinic. She must have more than anemia and asthma." Claudia thought aloud

"Alright let's get moving." George said as he drove to the destination.

Claudia waited until they had gotten to the destination.

They finally arrived. "Alright this is the place." George said as he got out.

Claudia followed.

George knocked on the door.

Kaine answered coldly. "What?"

"Not the best way to answer a door when there's a police unit there." George said as he opened the door and let himself in.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Kaine look critically at the two

"We need some answers." George said using his intimidation.

"Adrianna Rachinello." Claudia decided to at least fill him in. "I'll turn myself in. I was paid to kill her." Kaine admitted

"I think she's confessing for someone." George pointed out.

Kaine looked at George. "Cyanide in the inhaler right?"

"Yeah that's it." George said sternly.

"Her father paid me to kill her." Kaine put his hands out in front of him

"We'll need your help to find him. As for now." George said as he slapped the handcuffs on him.

He had not seen such blood in years. The homicide proved to be a bathtub full of it. His eyes layed upon George and Jane. "My God..." he whispered. "Who was responsible for such a hainous crime?"

(Gavos, you have to sign up) Kaine smiled. "I was paid to an offshore account. He can be anywhere in the U.S."

"Where do you think he is?" George jerked his shoulders. "Tell us! NOW!"

"Out of your reach." Kaine laughed. "George, we can call when we get to the station." Claudia tried to diffuse the situation.

George pushed Kaine into a wall. "Perhaps I'm not the greatest at getting answers. But I do know someone who is." George said as he put a gun up to Kaine's head. "Now... where is he?!"

"George, stop!" Claudia pushed George. "San Diego." Kaine fearfully replied

"See." George smirked at Kaine. "Wasn't so hard. Was it?"

Claudia looked at George. "He really is out of our reach."

"I'll alert the San Diego police. In the mean time it's getting late we should call it a day." George said as he scratched his head. "Your coming with us. We're not done with you yet."

"Fine." Kaine came willingly with George and Claudia.

George threw him into the back and locked the door. "Let's bring him into the station. Keep him over night there."

"Murder for hire is a capital offense. We may want to call the attourney general." Claudia looked at George. "A capital offense like that is punishable by death."

"Alright." George said as he started the car.

Claudia stared out the window lapidazzically.

George drove to the station. He grabbed the man and hauled him in the station.

Claudia got out and immediately alerted the police in San Diego. He was already in custody for something else.

George threw him into a cell. "Alright. Well that looks like a productive day." George said as he walked over to Claudia.

"Yeah. Can you give me a ride home?" Claudia looked kinda of embarrassingly at George.

"Yeah. Sure." George said as he opened the passenger door for her.

"Thanks." Claudia got in and closed the door.

George began driving. "Where's your place?" George asked.

"It's three blocks then a right. First apartment complex on the left." Claudia hoped she could give directions well enough.

"2." Arrives at next block. "3. And right. This must be it." George said as he pulled up next to the building.

"Thanks." Claudia got out and started to open the door when her landlord started yelling at her.

George stepped out too. He looked at the landlord.

"Look Mr. Dodds, I'l get it to you later tonight. Promise." Claudia passed by the short, round, and bald man with a robust face. "Claudia, you better!" The man yelled as she headed up the stairs.

"Goodnight." George said as he stepped back into the car.

"Night!" Claudia yelled from the staircase. She waved and headed up stairs to her apartment.

George tapped his steering wheel and frowned. Then he crawled into the back and set up a pillow.

When Claudia reached her apartment, she looked around the apartmenr routinely. She checked out of out the window. She noticed George's car. Quickly she rushed down and tapped on the window of his passengerr side door

"Hey." George said as he opened the door.

"You need a place to stay tonight?" Claudia looked at him empathetically. She didn't want him to stay in his car.

"I... I guess so." George said as he got out of the car.

"Come on." Claudia grabbed George's hand and led him upto her apartment. "I have an extra room you could stay in. It's a little girly." Claudia took her free hand to wipe away a small tear.

"What's wrong? You can tell me." George said as he looked at her and helped wipe away her tear.

"I used to have a daughter. I left her home alone and she was kidnapped." Claudia turned away and kept heading upstairs.

George just looked at the wall. He knew he had to find her daughter. He didn't want her to lose someone the way he lost his brother.

Claudia opened the door. "Here we are." Claudia walked into her daughter's room. It was lined with kid drawn pictures and photos of Claudia and her daughter.

George teared up when he saw the pictures. He knew they were close. He made sure she wasn't going to lose her. "When did she go missing?"

"About 2 years ago." Claudia picked up a picture and started to tear up along side him. "She would be about eight."

"When exactly? What time did this happen at?" George asked.

"Around 2 pm on a Tuesday in March. Sam would have it on file the exact date." Claudia looked at George. "It's getting late." Claudia hugged him. "Thank you."

"No problem." George said as he wrote a note down. "I'm here to help."

"You don't understand how much this means to me." Claudia continued to hug him. She could tell George realy cared.

"I know it means a lot. I've been through this. I'll find your daughter. I promise." George said as he teared up a bit.

Claudia let go. "Is there anything I could get you?"

"Maybe a coffee. It doesn't matter what's in it. I don't care." George said.

Claudia went into the kitchen and started a pot of coffee. Then she went to change. Claudia slid into a silky slip and went back into the kitchen. She poured him some coffee and took it. To him. "Here you go. Anything else?"

"No. I'm fine. Thank you." George said as he looked at her. "Thanks for giving me a place for the night." George pulled up a small table and put his papers on it.

"It's not a problem. All you have to do is ask next time you need a place to stay. Night." Claudia walked to her bedroom.

"Night." George said as he began writing things down on his papers.

Claudia laid down and thought about her daughter. Tears started to stream down her face. "Dominque, I miss you."

George looked at his notes. "If she was abducted 3 years ago. There was a high demand of alcohol then. Even though there is now, they would stop at nothing to get it." George looked up. "Maybe they sold her for it." George wrote down some more notes. "Follow the trail. Bottles..."

Claudia started to fall asleep.

George kept studying his papers. "She wouldn't be in Chicago. She would be in..." Points to south. "Kentucky."

Claudia abruptly woke up to a nightmare. She headed to the bathroom and slashed some water on her face. Then she walked past George's room. "You still up?"

"Yeah." George said as he sipped his black coffee.

"Want some company?" Claudia walked in and sat beside him.

"Sure." George said as he set his coffee down. By this time is was a bit cool but he didn't complain. George circled some major import cities in Kentucky. He narrowed it down to 2 cities.

"What did you find?" Claudia glanced over his shoulder.

"Just some locations." George said as he looked at Claudia.
