Well basicly you usually catch a high leveled and rare pokemon but every time I've played someone ends up with something better.

Yes it does you need to talk to the guy at the counter or the door first though.

Pokéathlon is... interesting. I'm not entirely certain why the stats are important, as I have won pretty much every event I've played and I haven't used Aprijuice really at all. Still, good prizes to be had.

@GL: You get a star on your trainer card if you set the record in every event.

It takes time, but can be done pretty easily. I only had a little trouble with the Hurdle Dash record.

I haven't used Aprijuice either, but I think it gives you more bonus points at the end if you do.

Do stars still do nothing but change the color of it, or do they have some purpose in these remakes?

The way I see it is that the number of stars is for bragging rights.

Like for example, finishing the National Pokedex. Not too easy, is it?

I think setting high scores for all Pokéathlon events is marginally a heck of a lot easier than getting a complete National Pokédex.

I also think it was easier then contests.

With the contests, the stats actually mattered a lot, especially in the Generation III contests when the audience voting phase constituted half of your points. That, and dexterity couldn't carry a win.

Speaking of which, has there ever been a tournament on a site that had both contests and battles as parts of the competition? It would be interesting to raise a Pokémon that is competitive for both battles AND contests.

I could only beat contests my maxing out a stat... then they were easy!

Were contests even Wi-Fi compatable?

Um, ok fine. I have 150 words done for my debate paper, which in this case is bad. The maximum allotment in 300, and I'm just getting started! :'( I can't figure out what to cut, either. Oh what to do? I just hope I at LEAST make it to Round 2!

Alakazamaster: Is it weird that I was able to win contests without maximizing my Pokémon's stats?
I recall winning at least 4 or 5 times without improving the stats of my Pokémon.

Today in culinary I learned that what we serve isn't checken nuggets but acually, Breaded Rib Meat Chunks I was really stupid looking for them today.

Teachers still get paid over summer, though. More break time means more time the teachers are getting paid while not working.

Speaking of days off, tomorrow is the last day of school until Spring break! I'm glad, because I actually did rather well this quarter grade-wise. I am quite proud of myself.

I'm pretty sure that the games I'm seeing are Duke vs. Purdue (AMAZING GAME ) and Baylor vs. St. Mary's. But honestly, why did St. Mary's have to beat Villanova? Now I can't see them play.

Should be a fun night... I'm leaving in an hour and I'll probably get back around midnight CST or so.

I don't care for colledge sports, to many teams to keep track of.

I find college sports somewhat boring. Then again Im not really a sports person.

I don't personally follow it, but I hear an awful lot about it from people whining about their teams losing the day after games.

And now my week countdown until Break begins has...well I guess I'm being to early for this.

My break started yesterday, my laptop was also taken away a few days ago.

Baylor and Duke won tonight, so I get to see them play each other on Sunday, I think.

I got Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on WiiWare yesterday and was playing it with friends. When you get past how completely screwed up the legal system is, it's a really fun game. And the attorneys are hilarious.
