Lol, I was doing Pokéathlons for about, eh.. 5-6 hours this weekend? O_O

Uber addicting.

The best part is that if you get 2,000 tackles (I think) and 1,000 jumps, you can get 2 free Rare Candies.

Pokéathlon is... interesting. I'm not entirely certain why the stats are important, as I have won pretty much every event I've played and I haven't used Aprijuice really at all. Still, good prizes to be had.

@GL: You get a star on your trainer card if you set the record in every event.

It takes time, but can be done pretty easily. I only had a little trouble with the Hurdle Dash record.

I haven't used Aprijuice either, but I think it gives you more bonus points at the end if you do.

With the contests, the stats actually mattered a lot, especially in the Generation III contests when the audience voting phase constituted half of your points. That, and dexterity couldn't carry a win.

Speaking of which, has there ever been a tournament on a site that had both contests and battles as parts of the competition? It would be interesting to raise a Pokémon that is competitive for both battles AND contests.

I recall winning at least 4 or 5 times without improving the stats of my Pokémon.

I agree with you, as you can get over the courses even with bad stats. However, wouldn't you want to get more points by making your Pokémon's stats better? If you improve a certain Pokémon's stat for a specific course, you are more than likely to set a record there, and get more points.

Actually our vacations are based off our schedules back when school districts became more modernised when most of the country residents were farmers and needed time in December to clean out the cellar for the winter and time off in April to plant crops and the Summer off to harvest.

Actually, extending school breaks is a way of reducing the shortage of money because it means paying the teachers less. So, it only makes sense to reduce school days in this economy.

Yes and no. They get paid over summer, but only to the extent that they worked; that is to say that if they work fewer days, the total they will get across the year, including the summer, will still decrease.

I got Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on WiiWare yesterday and was playing it with friends. When you get past how completely screwed up the legal system is, it's a really fun game. And the attorneys are hilarious.
