One time someone put a box in the school that said "Saudi Arabia" or something and we had to stand outside in 50 degrees for an hour and a half. Wouldn't have been as bad if I didn't forget my jacket...

What if it was a diorama of Saudi Arabian history for a school project? They'd look pretty silly then.

That prank is damn funny. Here in my school, instead of bombs, drugs or weapons, we prank the teachers and try to piss them off. Last year though, Gr.11s expressed their hatred to our Biology teacher in a way no one ever did before; they brought eggs and threw at his class and then a fire extinguisher, covering the whole area with white powder. That teacher did get sad about it, which was most probably one of the reasons he left this year.

That's one of the reasons why he left, but not the main one. He specifically said it was something personal related to his wife, but anyway, I'm really going to miss his funny quotes and awesome parties. =/

I still have mine because I have to do a dumb 20 hour practice log. Getting my license as soon as I get that done... And then I might be able to drive to school for a semester or more.

I feel so tired today for some reason.
I almost fell asleep in class today, even with a good night's sleep.

Oh, how I can't wait for Sunday. My family has our annual reunion every Labor Day weekend. We go to Huntington beach, and it's real fun.
Plus it'll be cooler over there, so that's a pleasant change.

You mean Lewis structures or dimensional analysis? I always thought electron configuration was the hardest part of the class.

Huh, that's actually what we're doing in Chem right now. I actually have known how to do DA since freshman year, though, since I took an Intro to Physics/Chem class (IPC) as a fish.

Dimensional analysis was easy for me, but my teacher taught it the way that was boring and tedious. Currently I am taking chemistry for the second year and all my classes are IB except art.

Well, hey, when my brother was in 10th grade honors English, he had to read Angela's Ashes. I just recently read Crime and Punishment, a story about a man who murders an old lady and her step-sister and has to cover it up and faces a psychological conflict afterwards, followed by Jane Eyre, a story of a 19 year old girl who has a romance with a 38 year old man, among many other obscure little adventures she goes through.
And I'm not allowed to watch an R rated movie without parent supervision?
**DISCLAIMER: I actually don't plan on seeing more than a very few R rated movies in my life.

As for Chemistry, both dimensional analysis and electronic configuration are things we took in the first year of my high school (Grade 9), but we took the first one under another name (not dimensional analysis). They are easy, compared to reactions of acids and alkalies and tests for anions and cations. Those things are super hard to remember, and this year I will be taking what is even worse; organic chemistry. Oh, and I take Biology and Chemistry along with Physics too, so it is a bit harder here.

As for some good news, Ray William Johnson, a famous Youtube user with all those funny videos, is most probably going to come to Dubai in October.

What we took in dimensional analysis is much more simplified than what they're currently studying.

I have started to have some sleeping problems, and I blame summer for that. Since the beginning of the summer vacation, I was staying awake all night, up until dawn. Then, I would remain asleep till 3.00 pm or even 5.00 pm. That was my daily routine. Now that school is getting closer day by day, 8 days from now, I am trying my best to change this routine. The only way I found it successful is to wake up earlier (12.30 pm), but the problem is that I am not sleeping well at night. I am still used to be awake at night, even if I wake up early. It seems that this lack of sleep is causing me severe headaches. I need a solution...

Haha, I'm suffering from the same thing (minus the headaches part). What I'm doing is that I'm setting the alarm on my iPod to wake me up earlier each day. It's been working well so far, but it's not where I want it yet.

So, I'm taking an online class. Its for designing multiplayer online games. Up until this point, all of my Labs have had instructions. Now it's like I'm getting something in the mail with missing pieces and a manual with several pages ripped out. Apparently, this same lab has had many complains about it in the past, and I'm not the only one complaining about it.

I personally think there's a difference between challenging a student and saying, "Here's the box with stuff in it. I'm not telling you what the stuff is, and I'm not telling you what you're making is supposed to look like. Now make it work "

Congrats for taking in the third place! I can't see myself running for 3k since I can't run well. I will plan to go on a bike tour that lasts about 14 miles. I really love biking because I can go places normally a car can't and it's a lot faster than walking.

I envy you for being able to run in the first place. I am a bad runner, but am able to walk miles without getting exhausted, not due to my stamina, but due to my stubbornness.

Speaking of scars, years ago we had a car accident where I crashed with the car's window, causing it to fall apart. All the glass shreds flew at my face, scarring it and my head too. These scars never disappeared, to my disappointment. :\

So now we are in the same class, but you are ahead of me. Congratulations for the good marks and here I am praying for as good as those, except for the C. I will most probably study IB next year, unless I go for AS.

If you had to do something differently, what would it be? You know, these questions might help us in our IGCSEs this year.

I love running, too. Actually, my agility often makes up for my lack of skill in many sports.

Same here. I like being outside. Mostly just to bounce a lacrosse ball against a wall.

Same here, sometimes. Except we play butts up. As in, you lose 3 lives, the other players peg you with the ball.

Haha, well, i got butterfingers a lot, so i drop the ball sometimes. Its why i don't play football. Perfectly good at tackling, but i'll just get crushed, and I can barely catch a ball. I throw a good spiral, but not a far one.

Did you take a bath in cold water? That helps relieve pain

Probably East Carolina since they had my major. I could have gone to NC State but they didn't have my major and I don't want to earn my credits all over again.
