I just watched an interview of two parents who lost their 4 children (they died). It is really bad when you look at them; you feel like you want to cry.

Sometimes they help you realize that you're blessed just by having your parents alive, since the reverse can also happen (God forbid). But yeah, I generally don't like watching such interviews because they make me feel guilty for no reason.

When my mom learned that one of my classmates last year died during the summer (due to a car accident), she was really shocked and scared. She then prayed not to fall in the same test as this guy's parents because it is an extremely difficult experience to overcome.

A girl was 16. Another girl was 14. There was a boy who was 10 years old and another boy who was 6. Along with that, the mother was burnt dangerously due to the explosion. The interview was just... horrible. But it had a happy ending!

The war happened in 2006 and all the children died. Of course, both the parents were emotionally destroyed. The mother spent two years treating herself and her skin became normal again, and her hair grew up again. They said then that their life was empty and lost hope in living (I totally understand that). They couldn't bring children again because the mother had made a surgery which stopped her from getting pregnant anymore. She cried and prayed and tried, along with yet another surgery. Yet the surgery failed. She tried again and failed. She tried the third time and the surgery yet failed again. In the fourth time she succeeded and they brought a son who is now a year old. I saw him, and he so cute! They said that it is this son who brought them back to life. I was so overwhelmed.

I found it a little odd reading through the whole list and seeing that smiley face at the end, but I guess the ending is pretty happy.

But god, I can't even imagine something like that happening to anyone I know.

Why can't we all just get along in the world? What is the main reason why we are at war? Do people even remember the real reason why we are at war? All war really does is rip families apart.

Agreed. x1000,000. I strongly wish that all these conflicts stop between the different countries, as many families and innocent lives are dying due to that. However, I'm afraid that life is not that simple and such massacres will always take place. =/

War is just like a fight between two people, but in a larger scale. Simply, wars rise for the sake of control over the resources which help countries to become more wealthy and more powerful.

Which is the reason why a country attacks another. The attacking country may claim it's for a just-cause, but they only say that to get the support of the people.

It wasn't an amazing movie in my opinion, but it was definitely well-made, realistic and successful in portraying the complexity of the political world. If I could rate it, I would probably have given it something around 65%-70%.

We decorated weeks ago, grandparents got here yesterday. I guess we just wait, now. There's just some cooking to do but that will probably be on the 24th and 25th unless we make more cookies.

Oh, I definitely will. Already been there once, and this time I'm going with one of my best friends It should be better then the last time although we will only be there for 3 days. I suppose that is enough.

The only bad part is that we leave on the 26th, so I'll only have half a day to play with my presents I guess. Fortunately that is enough time for a few hours of Rock Band with my new cymbal kit for the drums.

I still have one half-day of school left (on X-mas eve eve! Seriously!), and it's for the annual talent show.

My school's having a pie-a-teacher-in-the-face contest. The two most hated teachers in the school and two teachers who I guess just want to be pied in the face are competing. Each has a jar that students can put money into, and the two teachers with the most money are pied at the end of the talent show. Hopefully, it'll be entertaining enough to justify going to school two days before christmas.

Today I went to my eye doctor to carry out an eye sight check. Since I am short-sighted, I had -1.5 in one of my eyes and -1.75 in the other. Now they're -1.75 and -2.0, respectively. The doctor told me that in about a year's time, my eye sight will probably, though not assuredly, stabilize and stop decreasing. Until then, I'm required to take regular eye drops which moisten the surface of my eye. I also asked about the laser operation which can be done in the future to return my eye sight to normal, and he said that I can only take it when I'm 20 years. However, he pointed out that I need to carry out a check to see if my eye's retina is capable of handling the laser beam...

Well, death in itself isn't particularly 'nice' to encounter anytime in the year. I really sympathize with the parents of the children who die at a young age; it must be devastating.

Now, can we please change the topic? This death talk has been creeping me a little bit recently. :S

After they pied the first two teachers, they took out two more pies and threw it at the other two. (All four were wearing safety goggles, btw.)

Naturally. But I must say, not all of them join the forums in order to participate in the tournament. Some of them join coincidentally when a tournament is being held.

If Cat/someone else is advertising the tournament on their Youtube channel, then there will definitely be a large increase in the number of new members.

I have strange vision, according to my doctor. Which makes sense, in some cases.

My left eye: -.5 (Not too bad)
My right eye: -2.0 (Considerably worse than my other eye)

According to an x-ray scan of the nerves in my eyes, the nerves in my left eye are larger than the nerves in my right eye. Which is strange, since eye nerves are supposed to be the same size.

I do wear glasses. My eyesight isn't terrible, but slightly weak. However, the last time I visited the optometrist, he said something about my retina, but I didn't understand much. He is Russian, so his language is slightly hard to configure.

We went to the desert today (It is Christmas Eve here). While we were driving, my friend drove over a steel pipe that was erected vertically. One of the tires popped, but when a huge tire pop, it sounds more of exploding. We spent like an hour or more fixing it. It was fun though, excluding the expenses my friend is going to pay for buying a new tire. While we were there, I found a bullet. I bet there were more, but it was too dark so I couldn't find more. Here it is.

I haven't had an official eye test, but I believe I have 20/20. Although, if I close one eye, the other gets noticeably blurry.

Sounds like me. I only wear glasses at school, though, and when I occasionally forget to bring my glasses they all think I look strange. People say that when I have my glasses on, I look like my dad (everyone in the family's eyesight is horrible. Me and my grandma aren't so bad; I only need glases for school, and my grandma only needs them for reading)

I love my perfect eye sight.
That must feel really good. I only hate my glasses when I'm playing a sport (or doing similar activities), but otherwise, I feel like it became an essential bit of my life. Seemingly, the injury in my eye from last year has affected the rate at which my eye sight decreases, and since my family doesn't have exceedingly good vision (in general), there's little to no way my eye sight will improve naturally. It's not terrible at all, but I need to be careful until my vision stabilizes in the near future, hopefully.

I've tried contacts, and trust me, when I say they burn, I really mean it. I did not like them right from the first usage, and I just felt a strange desire to poke my eye because of their presence. And then there's the difficulty of putting them on, cleaning them and removing them carefully from your eyes, which can take a really long time. My relatives often call me "doctor" when they see me wearing the glasses, and so everyone is used to seeing me in them. I really have no problem in wearing glasses in front of the people, be it my relatives or the public.

I prefer to stay without glasses. I know I look better without them, and my family says so. I have been using my glasses less and less. Whenever I am going out, except for school, I keep them away. I prefer that.

My dad had laser, I'm not sure how good his eye sight is, But he said it's better. Despite how my eyes suck, I don't plan on any type of surgery, I'd rather find a good pair of glasses, or even contacts.

I really don't have a good vision and the only thing I don't like wearing glasses is playing sports since I have a fear that it will break in the process. I wore glasses mainly at home and school. Despite having a poor vision, I can play tennis well as long I can see enough to hit the ball where I want to. I was thinking about getting eye surgery in the future but I am afraid that I have to keep my eye open in the whole process.

Yeah, my brother had it in 2001. Its pretty amazing actually, you pay $2k (my countries currency) to go under a table where you lie for about 10 minutes, then *click click* *machine moves to next eye* *click click*, and boom, your vision is near perfect again.

I remember going with my brother to the optometi eye doctor on the day. I was only 7 back then, upon hearing the word "laser" I was expecting something alone the lines of
, but instead I saw
.

Very underwhelming :S

Ah, that's a relief. For some reason, I feel a bit worried when picturing a laser beam passing through my eyes. And I'm thankful it doesn't generally take a long time. By the way, do you (or anyone else) know the minimum age for having this surgery? I heard it's either 18 or 20, not sure which.

It is because when you are at that age, your eye sight stops getting weaker. Therefore, you can do the surgery without being afraid that your eyes are going to get weak again. If you do the surgery before such an age, your eyes will get weak again after the surgery.

From what I know, you have to be 21. Although you might be able to do it at 18 if your eye is mature enough, but regulations probably leave it at 21 just to be sure.

I already know the reason, and I actually didn't ask for it in the first place, but I just noticed I wrote 'why' instead of 'which' in my last post accidentally, so it's my mistake.

Yeah, so I just need about five more years in order to do the surgery (if I live that long, of course ).

Now that the release date is confirmed, I am going to daily countdown until the release date. However, I will be mentioning the release date according to Dubai. So, sixty nine days left!

Yesterday we celebrated my sisters' birthday by going to a resort which is next to the beach. We spent the evening there until late night. The food was delicious and the Christmas choirs that were played added a nice atmosphere.

Actually, starting the count from December 28th (since it's already 12:05 AM over here), we have exactly sixty eight days left. But who cares? As long as we're getting the games so early, I'll remain very excited until they are released.

I'm debating whether or not to buy the 3ds when it comes out. If my brothers and I save all our money up, we may have just enough money to buy a 3ds. But not any 3ds games. So I might as well wait until next Christmas...

Well, the 3DS isn't that bad, it's got some decent games I must say.

I was looking at some of the 3DS games, and the Paper Mario one seems to be going back to its original RPG elements, and another game I thought looked nice was the Mario Kart 3DS, I could only imagine what Nintendos going to do with it,

You're kinda like me; I'm still not sure whether I'll be buying the 3DS or not. I think it all comes down to the titles which will be available on it, and if my interest in video games will remain for a good time after I buy it.

I am almost sure that I am not buying a 3DS. As long as Pokémon games are on DS, I find buying a 3DS useless, especially that I don't have the money anyway. :\ Also, even Pokémon invades 3DS, who knows? I might have left Pokémon then.

And eh, what's with all the 3DS hate? I probably won't be buying it unless I can rack up a decent amount of money up from my Dad for Christmas and/or I get a lot of money for my birthday, but i'd still love to have one, it looks great, especially all the games being available at or near launch that've been announced already.(plus I really want a replacement for my screwed up DS Phat that's showing it's age)
