"Where will I find them sir?" George said as he readied Claudia.

"Back at the school." Sam walked to his office.

George signaled Claudia to get ready. "Let's get going to the school then."

Claudia went to the car and waited nicely. "Who are we getting?"

"Jeff, Frank, and Lance." George drove to the highschool.

"So Jeffery Scotts, Franklin Lowland, and Langley Devereux? Figured." Claudia looked frustrated.

"How do you know all these people?" George asked curiously.

"Jeffery was arrested for assault and battery, however the charges were dismissed. Franklin had two rape charges, one conviction. Got out on probation. Langley committed grand theft auto. The charges were overturned. Everyone of them were prosecuted by me. Okay?" Claudia didn't like talking about court failures.

(We don't use the term battery in Canada.) "Alright alright." George said as he exited the car.

(You're in Chicago. They have it there.) Claudia left it there. She went inside the school. Lance was at his locker getting out some books.

(I know. I'm just saying I wasn't familiar to the phrase.) "Are you Lance Devereux?" George said as he came over to the locker.

"Yeah." Lance had a tear in his eyes. "Who are you?"

George slammed him into the locker. "Your worst nightmare punk!"

"Look! I don't want to talk to anyone! My girlfriend died randomly, and I couldn't save her! So **** off!" Lance Wiggled out of his grip and continued to pack his bookbag.

"I don't care. Your coming with us!" George grabbed the boy's arm tightly so he wouldn't get away and hauled him to the police car.

"George, I would check out his girlfriend's death. Put him in the car and meet me at the office." Claudia started to walk away.

"Let me just get the other suspects. Meet me in the car alright." George said as he put Lance in the car.

"Alright." Claudia went to the office to check out the girl's death. "What happened?"

(You were supposed to meet in the car.) George rounded up the other boys. "Alright. In the back."

(I'm going to find out this death) An EMT looked at the body. "I don't know." Claudia noticed something odd. She leaned down and took one finger to the dead girl's lips. Then she licked it. "Almond. It's poison." Claudia headed to the car.

George waited in the car with the 3 in the back.

Claudia arrived at the car. "One of them has access to poison."

"Which one of you guys likes Science?" George asked.

Jeff raised his hand. "Top chemistry student." Claudia got in. "You got an internship?" "Yeah at a dentist office."

"I think Jeff, might just be our culprit." George whispered to Claudia.

"Seems like it." Claudia leaned back a little. "Any of you have a lawyer?" All three answered in almost perfect unison. "Of course."

"Oh boy." George said as he drove back to the station.

"Who has who?" Lance answered first. "Leeland Corx." Then Frank answered. "Melrose Homes." Last was Jeff. "Rob Walters."

"Rob you say?" George countered. "It was definately Jeff then." George whispered to Claudia. They arrived at the station.

"Mr. Walters isn't a terrible lawyer." Claudia walked in and immediately was pulled away by Sam.

"I'm not saying he's terrible, I'm saying he was a suspect." George said as he got out of the car. "They're all yours Sam."

"I don't want them right now. You take the interrogation. Claudia, you come here." Sam breathed heavily. Claudia followed knowing what was to come with Jeff hiring Rob.

George took them to the interrogation room. "Sit." George sat down on the other side of the table. "Now you boys are going to give me the truth and nothing but that. Got it?"

Claudia came into the interrogation room. "George, after this we need to talk." Lance laughed. "You're trouble with your girlfriend." "We're partners." Claudia retorted.

"You better zip it kid. See this..." George pulled out his badge. "It's called a whatever I want badge. Your in my control now boy."

"You can't torture us." Jeff said. "Or kill us." Lance retorted. "Also can't abuse us." Frank said meanly.

"In this room. There's no holding back, no proof. No mercy." George retorted meanly.

"Where are our lawyers?" Jeff asked meanly.

"Not here." George said sternly with a slight twitch in his eye.

Two out of the three lawyers came in. "I'm Leeland Corx. I'm representing Langley Devereux." "I'm Melrose Homes. I'm representing Franklin Lowland." Claudia walked in. "Rob is on his way."

"Of course he is..." George said as he left the room.

Claudia followed. "Do you happen to have law school experience?"

"Not really. I learned to search and destroy the targets. Or at least find them." George said as he reviewed some papers. "What about you?"

"I'm the district attorney. Yeah, but I can't prosecute Jeff." Claudia wandered around nervously. "That's why I need someone with lawschool experience."

"Who has it? Sam?" George asked.

"I'm not sure." Claudia went to go ask. "Sam, do you happen to have law school experience?" "No. You're going to have to do it."

"Look who's here." George said as he pointed at the door.

Claudia was too much in a frenzy to see. "Is it Rob? Jesus, he can't see me."

"Why?" George asked curiously.

"You remember my last name?" Claudia kept pacing rapidly

"Walters... he's your brother correct?" George asked as he stood in front of her.

"Or my dad." Claudia turned walked in the opposite direction.

"Nothing to be afraid of. We're the justice system. The good guys." George said as he tried to cover her.

"But he can use the fact that I've been a cop to his advantage." Claudia stopped.

"Go on ahead. The suspects are in there." George said as he signaled Rob to the room.

"Thank you." Rob walked in.

"Your going to have to face him sooner or later." George said to Claudia after Rob walked in.

"Fine." Claudia sighed and decided to follow George.

George stood at the door. He looked at Claudia then at Sam.

"Hello Claudia." Rob had a harsh tone. "Dad." Claudia was cold and distant.

(I believe your dad in this is Rob. ) George stood there without anything to say. He looked coldly at the boys.

(fixed it) "Are you aware of what they are charged with?" Claudia was blunt. "Murder, first and second degree." Each lawyer sat relaxed. "My client would never murder his own girlfriend." Leeland retorted. "Shut it." Claudia snapped back.

"Listen we'll be asking the questions here. You'll be answering them. Any lies will be held against you. Got it?" George countered.

"Fair enough." Melrose said. "We are the best lawyers in the business."

"So I've heard." George snapped. "Alright. Where were you boys on the night of the murder?"

"The girlfriend murder or the ref?" Frank slyly threw out.

"Let's start with the ref." George retorted. "Well..."

"Party." Lance said. "Homework." Frank answered. "Hospital." Jeff sighed.

"Why were you at the hospital and what happened at the party?" George snapped.

"My mom had a seizure." Jeff said hushed. "We smoked some cigars." Lance answered defensively

"That's an offense right there sunny." George quickly said as he wrote it down in his notebook.

"It's not murder." Lance retorted. "No, but it is a year in state prision." Claudia stated.

"Now that we know you made an offense. Who was there with you?" George said as he wrote more things down.

"Donald Freeman. Got out problem?" Lance crossed his arms. "No wonder you're a throw away player." "I am NOT a throw away player!!" Lance stood up and attempted to punch Claudia.

"Sit your guilty butt down before I sit it down. You make one more move and your in for 2-3 more years." George countered quickly. "Claudia. Let's try to keep the insults behind us."

"Short-temper and a bad call in the championship which cost the game. He's got a motive." Claudia shrugged.

"Indeed he does." George turned to Claudia. Then to Sam. "Got anything to say Sam?"

"A perfect recipe. Plus Donald Freeman was cleaning up the general store at the time of the murder." Sam exchanged a glace at Lance. "But let's move to Jeff here. Jeff, your mother wasn't checked into the hospital."

"So why were you there boy?" George added as he glanced sharply at Jeff.

"My guess he wasn't." Sam cut his glare to George. "No I was drinking." Jeff answered softly.

"A smoker and a drinker." George looked at the last boy. "And were you doing? Homework is not what I would expect you to be doing."

"I was because midterms were the day after." Frank said pulling out a paper.

"Hmm... your dismissed." George said as he opened the door.

Frank walked out. "I'm sorry I wasted your time."

George closed the door. "He seems like a nice kid. As for you two. Come with me." George said as he opened the door again.

Both Lance and Jeff got and followed. "Do you think I'm a throw away player?" Lance asked Jeff.

George ignored them and let them talk as they walked down the hallway.

"Dude, yeah." Lance threw a punch at Jeff. Suddenly both of them broke out into a fight.

George quickly pulled out his gun. "Both of you cut it out. Or I'll..." George said as he loaded. "Now this way."

Jeff stopped and followed George. "Hey, why aren't you a drill sargent in the military?" Lance followed quickly behind.

"Because I choose to save this country and not others." George countered quickly.

"Oh that's cool. My dad was in the marines, and you remind me of him." Jeff was always proud of his father. "George!" Claudia quickly came up to him. "The medical examiner needs to see the both of us."

"Alright." George said quietly as he followed Claudia.

"He said something about a virus. I'm not too sure." Claudia Walked into the room. "Hey Doc." "Oh hey guys. You two need to get checked out." The examiner pointed to two chair situated in the corner. "The girl was infected with anthrax. Both of you could be exposed."

"Wonderful..." George said as he sat down. "Well who's first?" George said sternly.

"Claudia, you've gotten one of these test before. Come on." Claudia followed him back into a room.

George waited patiently in the waiting room. He fidgeted with his sunglasses.

Claudia came out with a gruesome look on her face. "Your turn." The examiner came out wiping off his hands. "Come on."

"Oh great..." George said as he followed him into the examination room.

"This won't take long." The examiner took out a cotton swab. "Open your mouth."
