That's a pretty random topic for voting. Wouldn't they all have to touch it in order to get an idea as to how soft it is?

Yeah, they pretty much went running around the school touching everyone's hair. My class is insane, but that's why I fit in! Except the guys, they thought it'd be too weird to touch everyone's hair.

It is not anti-social. It is that I hate those whom I consider as the filthiest race and then come and be proud of themselves.

By filthiest, I mean that they make fun of people's look and think high of themselves and don't care about people at all.

Well, today, I'm in an unusually bright mood! I did well on my Bio test, and my retest of my band test resulted in a 93%! ^-^

Also, after-school band practice was cancelled, so I don't have to stay in school for an extra hour!

Phew...I hope my lucky streak keeps up!

I went to my school around noon for National Honors Society and it was more fun than I thought. We do group activities such as guiding someone while blindfolded in a dodgeball game. It was really funny when my group can't unknot ourselves and our hands were sweaty from holding each other hands.

I stay school for awhile for the school conference to my grades. My parents couldn't come anyway and I don't mind since I don't like coming with me anyway. I am very satisfied with my grades which is pretty much A's except for U.S History since I slack off the work.

I got an 83 on my Biology text, 95 on my Speech test, and 74 on my Algebra 2 test. xD Fortunately I did not fail the last one because I thought it would me a bit worse.

I hate the AP tests for math. They are really hard. The highest score I for all the tests is 33 out of 40 and that's a B. I was disappointed when I get lower than A since I am good at math. My recent score is 26 out of 40. I am feeling so frusturated now....

My grades seem to be kinda erratic. I've got an A in all my classes (i.e. Biology, World Geography, Chinese, and Marching Band), except a borderline B+/A- (which is annoying since it's my favorite class...and all because of my 74% test) and a B+ in English. Which I suck at, 'cause my comprehension is really bad.

In February sometime next year, I'm going to attend a math competition, in which I have to take a test (which no one has ever aced, BTW) which is based on logic, and believe it or not, strategy. The highest scores in a region takes a much harder, different test that nobody has ever gotten above a 50% on. The highest scores of those are documented by colleges around the US, and if I do well, I can put it on my resume and it has gotten people in my school to some of the most prestigious schools.
Me and my friend HeatRotomFTW1997 are studying for this test (he's a few months younger than me and is taking 10th grade math) and it seems that we will do well on this test.
But of course, there's no way to tell...

As far as my opinion of bad tests, an icky test is anything below a 90%, epic fail is everything below an 80%, a disastor is anything below a 70%, and anything below 60% an abomination. So my last Geometry test classifies as an epic fail.

And that C confirms my thoughts about my 6th hour always being the lowest grade.

Coincidentally, I got the same grades. However, I got 7 marks higher, as the teachers showed me my actual marks, in figures, in their records.

Speaking of which, I really think this letter-grading system is unfair, at least in my school. Someone getting an 89 and another getting an 80 both receive a B. What makes it worse is that our school has no B+, B-, that kind of stuff. >_>

Since it is the beginning of the year, there's still plenty of room for improvement, so I wouldn't let my initial marks bother me too much.

20 dollars? Why would someone would throw away 20 dollars? Unless they accidently did it. Well then you got lucky.

Well for my grades I got straight A's except U.S History which is a C. The class is really boring because all we do is taking notes and worksheets. I also slack off in that class since it doesn't interest me the way she teaches. We used to grade classes in each quarter but now it's every seminar. I don't like it because we won't get the final grades until around Januray and if you fail a class, you have to retake not 1 quarter but a seminar long.

Well, I really put all my effort into the Gym Class, and I'm a pretty good athlete all-around, but the teacher never gives me an A for some reason. He always gives me (and basically, every other student) an 88% in the first progress reports in both the terms.

Speaking of athleticism, speed is perhaps my most remarkable aspect as compared to all the other students. I'm considered as one of the fastest, if not currently the fastest, runner in grade 10. Actually, one of my classmates recently tagged me as "Ninja" in Facebook due to that.

I'm not the most athletic person out there, but I do cycle quite avidly.

My upper body strength is horrible for a 16-year old. I can barely do one pull up without my head exploding.
However, due to my constant cycling and leg conditioning, I'm quite proud to say I can kick down certain doors.

I actually tried kicking down an old door in my friends house when it was being renovated. They were going to tear down that wall anyway, so we figured, why not?

I hate my gym teacher and he hates me, but you're lucky you get Bs, mine hates me so much that he gives me lower marks than I should get. They were low enough as is because we're doing volleyball and football this semester, two of my least favourite sports. Today we had to do a 'compare and contrast' essay in English Literature, and I never realized how difficult this could be until now. I mean, at first, I didn't know how to split my paragraphs as there's quite a lot of information to talk about, but eventually I found a good way, so I planned the essay carefully and then went about doing it. I just finished it, and since it's within the page limit of 1 1/2 - 2 pages, I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Man, I kinda hate how our teacher is deeply analytical of every story/poem which we read. He looks in between the lines and extracts ideas from the text which are complex and not really obvious.

Another reason that I don't quite understand is hating him because everyone else loves him. I had that same feeling for Twilight.

I am not a fan of Justin Bieber. His songs are okay but it's not my style. Same thing with Twilight. The first movie was okay but I didn't like the second movie. The only thing I like about the movie is Jacob turning into the werewolf and adjusting to it. That and when Bella slapped one of the werewolves. It was so funny.

I do not like the book at all. I read the first book and find it really boring and depressing. I am also annoyed the fact a lot of new books are vampire related. It made wonder if people get ideas from the hype.

I only read and watch Twilight to see what is the hype about and didn't like it. I don't really want to jump in the bandwagon on people like/hating Twilight because everyone is. If I like or hate something, I would give logical reasons.

My friends are into Twilight and it feels awkward when they talk about it since I don't like it that much. Some of them also like Harry Potter which I also like and we both read and watch them.

Eh, I think some of my fiends did that, and one even liked it. >_> Good thing he didn't see the movies or I'd probably be calling him gay for that.

I'm excited for the 7th Harry Potter movie, gonna try to see it as soon as it comes out. What sucks is that it comes out 12:00 AM on (a week from?) Friday and I have to go to school that next morning. xD

Twilight is not my type at all. I never read the books, and I will never do. I did watch the movies because I wanted to know what Twilight is. If it isn't obvious, Harry Potter is way better than Twilight.

Speaking of homework, I had a lot of homework for tomorrow. I also need to study for my Biology test for next Thursday.

Exactly. I'm starting to get really irritated whenever I see a book about vampires, as if the authors are trying to take advantage of the hype in order to make cash. :/

It gets released on the 18th of November over here, which is a holiday for us due to a religious festival. Therefore, I'll be able to watch it as soon as it comes out, hopefully. I'm currently trying to refresh my memory by watching the previous movies, as I haven't seen them since a long time ago. You might find this surprising for a big fan of Harry Potter like me, but I never read all the books in the series. I only skimmed through them, especially the last parts, so now I'm trying to change that; right now, I'm reading book two and in a proper way. =P

I definitely need to read an online summary of the books. Even if it is the day before I watch the movie. I finished book 7 at least 2 years ago.

My old church frowned upon them for witchcraft or something, I think. I haven't read any of 'em, except for like one page around 10 years ago maybe.(no, not because of the church thing, I guess, just never picked one up during my reading phase)

Must have been a strict church, haha. o3o

But about the reading phase.. Yeah, mine is over. Ended after 8th grade and started in Kindergarten. But I read some good books in that time and it made me much smarter than other kids.

Why would they take it so seriously when it's fiction?

Uh, Protestant(Christian) just kinda heard it from my stepsister a long time ago, might be true, might not. Doubt anyone followed it anyway, considering Harry Potter is a kids/teens book series and most aren't hardcore christians unless they're much older.

I say the church's action is too strict and unreasonable, since there are far worse stuff which it can criticize rather than a fiction book which is there just for the sake of entertainment. It's like when *a certain country* banned Pokémon because 'it promotes Zionism'. Those are the kind of actions which, in my opinion, depict a certain group of people as extremist and spoil the view on the religion which they follow. =/

Why is it that you consider reading as a temporary phase? For me, reading will continue on for as long as life takes me, since it is helpful in numerous ways.

By reading phase, I meant like, I started picking up books from the library and reading them during middle school. Once high school started though, that all ended. I'm not saying I stopped reading entirely(Obviously, or else I wouldn't even be able to get to this web page because you need to read to know how to get to it...), but actually having the desire to invest my time in reading novels has passed for me.

Yeah, by reading phase, I meant that you could often find me buried in a book, often a series of books. For instance I read the Magic Tree House series of books in 1st and 2nd grade, even 8 of those in 1 night. They were 70 page books with some pictures and big words. Then in 3rd and 4th it was whatever my teacher had in her bookshelf and 5th and 6th was Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and The Olympians (Lightning Thief, etc.), and some other books. Then in 7th and 8th grade I read a series called Ranger's Apprentice and some other books. But now I don't read for leisure anymore since I am in high school, it's either this or homework pretty much. Some TV or Wii.

I love reading, I've always loved it and I don't think I'll stop having it as a pastime. Music comes first however, listening to it, teaching myself to play it on the piano, or whatever it happens to be. My neighbors' (Prof. Birch, Your Mom and OMGITSSHIFTRY) church was against Harry Potter and Pokemon. Thankfully their parents stopped bringing them to church and my sister and I got them hooked on Pokemon.

I've seen countless videos Youtube about churches flaming and bashing on Pokemon, deeming it satanic, dark-sided, etc.

I dont take much notice to them though.. When there are lovers, there will always be haters.

I can't believe that this guy held a whole conference just to depict Pokémon as a very bad influence on children. As I said earlier, instead of picking on different series which are present for entertainment, maybe you could criticize other things which are far worse to people, children and adults alike. :/

Well my mom wasted 30 minutes of her life. She decided to go to my Parent Teacher Interview. I told her she doesn't have to since I only have English this Semester, and I'm already doing well in that. She went because she thought I was failing and trying to get her out of going. So when she got back, she admitted it was a waste of time.
