Oh, that's nothing at all. I am not bothered with killing or blood. I find it exciting, actually. Today's dissection was nice. I think we will dissect a kidney later on.
|
I've never dissected anything... I was never given the chance, we just don't do that at my school... Apparently (Though I was at the dentist while it was happening) as a special activity for Day 11 (A tri-weekly day where we don't do schoolwork, but instead special activities) all the year 7's got to dissect an eyeball...
|
It is slippery and ... something strange about them. I wanted to chew it while dissecting it so bad.

There was a realy funny thing that happened when I was in 7th grade...my teacher told us we wer having a dissection, all the guys were like, "YAY!!!!" and all the girls were like, "Awwwww..." We asked what we were dissecting, and she said,
"We're going to dissect a flower!"

I can't wait to dissect an eyeball. It is going to be really amazing. But first, we need to reach the chapter of the eyes. Oh! I wish we make some experiment in Chemistry, since I am getting bored now from theories. I think we will be doing an experiment in Physics next class for specific thermal capacity. I just hope the teacher doesn't forget...
On another note, I have been doing a lot of homework today! I finished Physics homework, Literature essay, Business project and studied for the Maths test. I have to study for IT test tomorrow.
For some reason, we're all getting sick at the same time. 0_0
Anyways, today was pretty awesome for me. My friends/cousins and I went to a mall in Dubai, to a place called "Soccer Circus" where you do a lot of small challenges in soccer to improve yourself, enjoy your time and accumulate points. We were able to collect 108,044 points, which is a HUGE number. ![]()

Well, I can check my grades online but the reason that all of my grades were updated today is because we are getting Progress Reports on the 28th.
|
|
The only way for me to get any sort of way to check my grades online requires me AND my parents to get the password, etc. I think so i'll just hold off on that so they don't have any more reasons to hound me...
I actually upped my Physics class from an F to a mid-C today! |
Our school doesn't upload grades online, so you need to attend the school day in order to collect your report. We get them during form time at the end of the day. Also, those progress reports are not as important as the report cards which are given after the mid-year and final examinations.
I got the results back from a mock Maths test today...
I got a B. I am disappoint. Our actual GCSE is coming up just after half term, so a couple of weeks time. I really want at least an A, so I've gotta up my game a bit if I want to get it. Revision revision revision. One mark less and I would've been on a C. :V
We don't get report cards 'til late October, but I'm kind of excited to be able to brag to the kids in my class about my grades, because I could get a 75% (which is horrible e_e to me) and I'd still get higher marks than all of them. I'm in the stupid people class. Yay.
1 – piexingI get report cards sometime in November. As far as I know I have A's and B's in most of my classes. I think I have a C in Social Studies or something. My parents get really mad though if I have a C or lower.
1 – piexingMine are coming in next week. I don't have to worry, I'm passing with a 75% lowest mark.
1 – piexingI will be getting my progress report in November. I am really afraid from the upcoming marks.

1 – piexingYeah my parents are always dissapointed when I get anything lower than 75%, which is when I'm dissapointed myself. My mom always makes a big scene though and makes me feel stupid when she talks about how I didn't do very good. That's above the standard in my class for crying out loud! 15 out of 24 people in my class failed that test, and I got the highest mark, but it wasn't good enough for my mom. -_-
1 – piexingMy parents get really mad if I get a 79% or lower on any assignment >_> Not fun, I can assure you.

1 – piexingMy parents aren't that strict on marks, All they care is that I have at least a 75% average, then Im good.
1 – piexingMy parents don't really care at long I get good grades like A's and B's and do home work.(as usual asian parents) I can look up my grades online but most teachers don't really updated except my US History and French. I just look at my US History and I got a B- which is good since that class is difficult. My grade got raise up from the test I thought I fail at.

Sounds like my parents, except 85% to 80%, they're just disappointed, and 89% to 85% I get disapproved. Low 90s are a little iffy and mid-90s to 100 is good. 101+ is awesome.
On the other hand, 79%-70% I get a lecture, 69%-60% I get grounded for a week, 59% or below... *doesn't want to think about it* But yeah, test get a little difficult when you know how your parents react by your grades. My parts of the sentence test yesterday was a 98%, but they didn't give much comment to it. They just said "Good." and went on their way. Personally, I'm disappointed by anything below 90%, because A's are what I usually get. :I |

1 – piexingToday was the first day during which we did not get any homework whatsoever for all subjects. On top of that, we have no more tests/quizzes this week (yet), so I'm free to do whatever I want besides studying right now! ![]()

This happens to me several times. It's like they got used to the high marks which I get that it's becoming slightly normal to them. =/ Personally, I'm disappointed by anything below 90%, because A's are what I usually get. :I Same here. I like to study a lot and aim for marks above 90 in all subjects. |
Well we went rock climbing. Nothing really happened since it was mostly learning today.
Also, some of my friends were suggesting silly Ideas they want to do. One was to get like 4 people in gorilla suits and one guy in a banana suit and just run across the school. it was a silly conversation. Then suggested that I be a pimp for Halloween, wtf.
I got some shots today. I don't like shots, and I usually forget how little or how much each one hurts when I get them. Hence, I'm stuck with the common thought that most shots hurt. Then I beat myself up later for letting myself spazz out over it.
Today was a flu shot (those don't hurt at all) and a hemoglobin shot (blood sugar test; this one hurt minorly after I got it and the second I got it) I might have to get two more shots for cholesterol and something I'd rather not mention. o_0

Yeah, it does. Problem is then I don't know what to think about in it's place. ![]()
Oh yeah, funny story. I was in my Chinese class and we were doing work on our whiteboards. When I finished, I impulsively said, "はああああい!" (Japanese for "yes", but it can be used for saying "I finished") Luckily no one noticed.

Well darn.. Honestly it's not post count that matters. What is is, just becoming an integrated part of the community. That's what a forum is about.

I hate when threads are moved. it ruins my post count right when I nearly go up a rank in posting
|

What thread was moved?
Oh yeah, I had a Biology test I wasn't prepared for today because I was completely unaware that I had one. Luckily, thanks to cramming, I got 106%. o_0 |
With no tests this week and a small number homeworks, I'm finally finding more free time to read and do some of my hobbies. I'm also going to watch a movie during this weekend with Spirit, so I'm looking forward to that.

I never heard of a "Woods Class" before. Is it compulsory for all students, or is it optional? And what exactly do you have to do in it?

Would you mind explaining the 106%? As far as I now, tests are normally graded out of a 100%.

There's a woodshop in my school, but sewing...no.
BTW, I wrote this sonnet for my English class. Do you mind reading it and giving me feedback?
Sonnet to a Lone Rose
The sky is pouring rain, I walk along
The weight of solitude hunching my back
I walk disgusted by the cheering throng
That laughs at the men living in the shack.
The presence of injustice walks the earth
And I have often challenged him to fight
The corrupt people, with a grotesque mirth
Point at me as I fall to his great might.
With agony I walk this road I chose
That strives for justice, with the cost of hurt
But on this lonely roads a single rose
Solitary in the gross and wet dirt.
In the mirror I look and see this rose
And I do not regret this road I chose.
|
I really like the poem because I can easily imagine it. It remind me of Robert Frost "The Road Not Taken". I don't know much about poems, but what is a sonnet?
|
I'll post them soon. Just gotta find them...
EDIT: Found them! Now, this was a while back. So, it might not be VERY good, or as awesome as Grass'.... but still. And my supah coo friend Jake helped me out, so thanks to him.
Super Smash Bros. Parallel Poem(Oh god here we go)
Super Smash Bros. is Gangster
Super Smash Bros. is world wide
Super Smash Bros. is a colluge of characters
Super Smash Bros. is a battle of battles
Super Smash Bros. is a line drawn betweeen all wars
Super Smash Bros. is a truse that isn't a truse
Super Smash Bros. is a masterpeice
Super Smash Bros. is better than anything
Super Smash Bros. is a galaxy
Super Smash Bros. is all that... and MORE!
(NOTE: It has been changed so the words fit more. This isn't the ecxact same as the original)
Heres a poem I wrote a while back>

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.
Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.
And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.
With this post, I've finally hit the 2000th mark! ![]()

For me, the real deal is in mid-November when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 will be released. I seriously can't wait for it!
|
.Today I came home and when I got to the back porch I noticed a squirrel on the canopy next to it. He then promptly jumped for the pole supporting the porch roof, hitting it face first, fell 6 feet to the ground in a few weeds, then ran to the tree across the yard.
Through the whole thing I was like
Poor squirrel.
I'm not really that excited for the new Harry Potter, but it's family tradition to go and see the new Harry Potter at the cinema. We've done it for every movie, we ain't gonna stop now. :3

My sister is absolutely obssessed with the Harry Potter series. Watches the movies every year, re-reads the books all the time, etc.
I liked the Harry Potter series, but my sister is an all-out fan, crying when
Sirius dies (he was her favorite character) and *giggle* when Hedwig died.
