I get out of school tomorrow at *drumroll* 10 PM PST!!! X_X

It's Band Night tomorrow, and I would usually get out of school at 2:55, but I need to stay after school to set up everything, practice, get the middle schoolers adjusted, and play at the football game. All that + sickness = absolute torture.

I swear, if I'm as sick as I am right now, tomorrow's gonna be horrible, with middle school kids babbling my head off. Here's to health; I'll need it. -~-

I play the Alto Sax.

I would stay home from school, but my mom won't let me stay unless I have a fever or maybe an extremely bad cough. Also, if I don't show up to Band Night, my Band teacher will give me a 0% for that performance.

Also in a couple of days I'll be picking myself on of these

You're exactly like me. I often find my speed helping me in all sorts of sports, sometimes making up for skills which I lack in certain ones.

This is kinda like our P.E classes, where our performance is worth 70% and the written test is worth 30% of our total mark. And yes, as strange as it may sound, we do a written test for physical education. :/

I got my Algebra I Unit 1 test back today and I did good. I got 24/25 which is a 96%. It really helped my grade because I'm one of the kids at the bottom of the class.
We're also having a dance today at a school but I'm not going. One reason is that I'm on the restricted list for an overdue Library book. Another reason is that it's like really cheap like all of our past school dances. They like made a maze that people walk through during the dance and it's like made of black trash bags and paper with streams hanging down...

Lol!

Today I got yelled at for throwing away the trash by my neighbor saying we should start composting (Like a bunch of Nesquick bottles are gonna degrade in the dirt!) he went on and on until I finally just put the trash in our garbage can and told him to go and compost himself kinda a cheezy thing to say but I didn't want to say any thing mean to him although it's debatable that what I said was mean or not.

I remember having snow around October last year. This year it is more warmer than usual. Lately the temperature is around 26.66 Celsius.

My AP course is really hard. I thought stats is an easy subjuct but I didn't like the way it was graded. They used the 1,2,3, or 4 system. The recent test I got back is B- and I was kinda surprise. I nornally don't get B- or below really often.

At my school they give us the option to take Biology, Chemistry or pyschics if we're in honors. I chose Biology because I'm good at it, even though I have 77 now. I really do not like the idea of taking pyschics though it seems like the most pointless one to learn that and I hate the math involved.

I also have a very mean history teacher this year, she gave me a 77 on my first quiz even though I answered the short essays correctly and only got one multliple coice question wrong. She actually marked one I got correct wrong and when I asked what the correct one was assuming I was wrong she yelled at our class because my answer was actually corrrect.

I hope she's just trying to scare us because I can not put up with this for a full year.

Im rather worried for my grades. I was forced into taking physics and economics because all the other classes I wanted to take in that same timeslot were full.

Drama was full, so i had to take physics, biology was full, so i had to take economics. I suck terribly at both of them and its already grade 10.. My IGCSEs are next year in June-July, and its too late to change subjects.

What sucks more is that im good at drama and biology.. Man.. I really don't know what to do, im sure to crash and burn if I continue taking drama and physics.

1- In our school, you can take any of Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Some people choose them all, others drop certain ones which they don't need, and some students also drop them all for other subjects!
2-Actually, Physics is very helpful amidst the technological world of today. And more often than not, it doesn't require memorization because it has a great deal of math in it, which is something I like.

If I had a teacher like that, I'd make sure to complain about her right from the beginning of the year to avoid having more trouble later on. Of course, before doing anything, I have to make sure she'll always be like that so that my complaint is valid.

Heh, and I just recovered from my cold. Joy!

Nothing in school to report, but I need to test the song I played last time for a test in band again on Thursday. Just a different part. (the slower part, for those who listened to it)

I would like those, except the fire alarm goes off once the power comes back on.

Ungh the raining has become such a pain. Its not even cool heavy rain where I live, its just wimpy drizzles.

Also today in English before the bell rang somebody was doing something involving Pokemon, and my English teacher was like, "Pokemon? Don't you grow out of that?" and some kid next to me was like "Pssht. Pokemon." and I turned slightly towards him and was all "Pokemon kicks ass!"

I was pretty proud of that one.

Yeah, I know. Tons of rain just fell in the last few minutes along with some thunder and lightning...but now the rain just decided to stop now I see some patches of blue sky. Rainy weather here is so erratic. XI

I have been away this week, unfortunately. I had to come today and see something in VR, otherwise, I would have come tomorrow. It is really hard now with all the hard tests popping out in my way. I hope that starting from tomorrow, I can be active, again.

Weather here has started to cool down. It is now 38 Celsius! Yay!

So I'm reading through newslinks, and I come across this today.

http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...xid=aol-direct

Arguing that minimum wage in unconstitutional?
I have to wonder where the Republicans keep finding these crazy people.

I cannot believe this week is finally ending. It has been so annoying with the constant tests, homeworks and assignments given every day. Now here's hoping all the efforts pay off in the progress report which will be handed on November 4th.

Also, I've started to become sick with influenza. Blocked/runny nose, 'light' coughs, feeling of tiredness, burning eyes and occasional headaches. I really don't want to be fully sick at such a time. =/

Wow... that's just... dumb. I remember the news once saying part time jobs are becoming the biggest job investments (by that, I mean a lot of people are looking for part time jobs rather than full time), there-fore rendering the republicans' arguments useless.

how could you live in california and not be scared out of your wits shinycrobat?! there is the san andreas fault, and the theory of californa sinking under the pacific! (or atleast becoming an island) I've been over the fault once and I felt like i was going to explode from fear... although I am afraid of pretty much anything under the sun (some fears of mine: being stared in the eye, volcanos, california, airplanes, large numbers of people, having an audiance, and boats)

You know I'm not really that scared here. I'm aware I'm in Earthquake territory but I've lived her my whole life and experienced about 10 - 15 of them so a 4.5 regular quake doesn't phase me. I'm just "Oh, an earthquake. Meh"
I feel like I'll eat my words one day and be scared the living hell out of me by a quake.

As for California sinking, I've never heard of that theory. It just seems "unrealistic."

my explanation of the theory since i couldn't find anything on it, but i heard about this theory on either history channel or natgeo, i forget. but anyway the fault is pretty much the divider line, to the west has death to the east has future beach front property. due to the movement of the plates, western california will probably either seperate from the north america and slowly become an island like madagascar or sink rapidly due to an extrely powerful earthquake where the pacific plate sinks further under the north american plate. I hope you could understand that.

Ehhh well I live in East L.A. so I really don't know. Anyways I hate thinking about apocalyptic theories because then I think about them throughout the day and I'm unable to get them out of my mind.

same idea on apocalyptic theories but l.a. is near the fault not sure what side though? you'd have to be in south west california. i think l.a. is in the north more twords central california

When I was on summer vacation, my family and I went to Niagra Falls and viewed it on both sides, New York and Canada. For some odd reason though, as soon as we crossed the border, it started pouring rain, and as soon as we crossed back to the US, it stopped. Oh, the irony.

Oh yeah, in my English class, we made a really weird sonnet about animal abuse. It sorta got stuck in our heads when we were studying for our parts of the sentence test in 2 days in class. We were supposed to create sentences and identifying each part, and someone randomly decides to mention slapping a whale. It was really weird, but funny at the same time. I might post the sonnet here; I have it copied down, it was so freaking retarded.

The Biology class was awesome today. We did a dissection of a certain animal's heart (forgot to ask which, but it's probably from a sheep, goat, etc) to identify the four main chambers as well as other important structures. Since it was our first dissection ever, we were pretty excited about it, and we all enjoyed it a lot. Here are a few pictures that one of my classmates took:

The teacher said we're also going to dissect lungs, kidneys and... eyes (0_0) in the future.
