OK so apparently this spyware program that has been going around the internet hit my computer, it's called rvlknlg.exe, that is why i was getting so much lag. After opening up Task Manager and stopping the two programs associated with it, my connection speed, sped up A LOT. it's better than it's been for a while. so ya'll might wanna look out for it.

but anyway, more importantly!
My dome is almost done!, the only things left to do are put in my ceiling, put the structure up on top of that that will be my new castle, level the land inside the dome, put flooring in the dome, light the dome, and populate it with buildings!

Help would be very much appreciated!

And Jared, i'm having a big issue with skeletons not catching on fire, the just kinda flicker when they're in the sunlight, but take no damage. So when i'm working they come outta nowhere and attack me

um there's something wrong with the server, i can connect to other servers just fine, but i can't connect to this one. and i used the correct port 25566

I randomly decided to check the server a minute ago and saw some java errors, and I can't stop the server.

It's also taking 65% of my 2.5 GB

Despite probably making a portion of the server software allow him to join any server, whitelisted or not, I added Notch to the whitelist in case we're lucky enough to have him.

Anyone else been having trouble sleeping in beds? Mine is in a tiny room surrounded by glowstone...and I'm still having stuff spawn while trying to sleep.

If you leave the door open or there's any openings in the wall then monsters will spawn and if there's a wall next to your bed that has open air on the other side then you'll be woke up by a mob

...so, what. I need two layers of wall now?

Alright, so I made a 25x40x3 area under my village for a PvP arena. I've put a fence up, just need to put some obstacles up and it'll be ready to go. After that I'll do an underground spleef arena. :3

Bug fixes, bug fixes and bug fixes.

- Corrected a block duplication bug when using pistons
- Corrected a redstone torch duplication bug when using pistons
- Corrected a client crash when placing a sign in front of the piston, powering the piston and then removing the block beneath the sign
- Ice blocks are now pushed without causing water streams breaking everything
- Booster rails are no longer being powered magically without a power source
- Pistons connected to the end of a piston-transistor via redstone are now properly closed when the power goes out
- Doors no longer create purple particles
- Hacking clients can no longer edit texts of placed signs in multiplayer
- Changed so that paintings pushed by pistons will pop off

Since 1.7.3 fixes the duping. I've deconstructed the duping machine.

Notch is now removed from the whitelist.

XD notch will learn!

and now it's telling me something about a java exception and end of stream error. I try to connect and it goes so far as "logging in" and then freezes there for a while and then just says end of stream?

you should make backups of the backups of the backups of the server world every half an hour. Be meticulous

There is a server thing that saves the world file every so often. So that if massive greiving or power outages occur, you can revert it to the last file. But you can control how much space it's allowed to use, and it will delete old files

I started building a path to the spawn from my house, but in order to continue we'll need a main building.

I marked the origin block/spawn with glowstone.

Well what needs to be built?
Like should I just build, or is there a specific design you want?

Mostly I wanted to build a room around spawn, maybe have a chest room with items for public use, public beds, crafting benches and stuff.


This would be a lot easier to plan if Alakazamaster was on wink wink nudge nudge cough cough


EDIT: Also I'm not picky on the materials used, as long as they aren't flammable (except wool/wood floors) and it flows nicely (no hallways that suddenly shift from cobble to brick)

I've been building a hotel service of sorts behind the bar. I have two two-story buildings already and they're almost functional- I just need to furbish them with the proper items (furnaces chests etc.) as well as some other touches to the surroundings.

That said, the build material I currently have the most of is raw clay. If anyone'd like to give me a hand cooking it and then constructing at least one more building with whatever I had (or would like to use it towards the planned one at spawn) that'd be much appreciated.

If anyone wants to come by and see them coords are x -140 z 200 (in a clearing behind the mountains at spawn)

So I'm converting my house into a resort of sorts. more like a hotel, I guess. There will be a lounge, there will be bedrooms for those who don't have beds of their own. There will be community chests, and basically just a good amount of space for people to do what they want. I'm nowhere near finished, I'll update later with the full details, but it will include public crafting tables, furnaces, etc. It'll be great for people new to the server, too.
