Don't be sorry. I feel that mirroring a sprite is fine if it's necessary.

All three look pretty good, and the Snorunt does look funny. The only thing I can really say is that I would've moved the wings up a little higher on the Shellos...because it kind of looks like they're sprouting from its butt.

One more assignment, and then your exam.

Alrighty.

First, read this tutorial.

Remember to have the fused parts blend in with the sprite. You don't want them to look as if you just stuck them on the sprite.

When you're ready to start, your first assignment is to fuse together...

Flaaffy and Emolga, using Flaaffy as your base.
Leafeon and Goldeen, using Goldeen as your base.

Goldeen is actually pretty good. And Flaaffy is...well...interesting. You've got some jagged pixels, and you're missing part of the outline around one of the wing/flap things. You all really need to learn to be a little more patient. There's only two of us, and with Shiny being temporarily out that leaves just me. I do have a life and things to do.

Your sprites are really good, On the Ho-Oh, near its tail there's a minor shading problem. You have the lighter outlines on the darker shading. It needs to be switched the other way around. Your Honchcrow and Linoone are great.

Keldeo bothers me though. Even if a Pokemon has only two colrs, it doesn't mean you only color Keldeo partly. You could've alternated the colors, and made it a black and blue Keldeo.

Ok. Fusions it is then.
Fusions are combing two or more Pokemon to make them look like an offspring of them. Or it could be a horrible science experiment gone awry. Whatever floats your boat, although water floats mine.

Now some rules as always.
- Make sure the fused parts are clean cut and blend in with the sprite. You don't want it looking like you just pasted it on the sprite.
- If the shading looks wrong, change it. This is one of the only times you'll want to/have to edit the shading in a sprite.

Now, first assignment.
- Charmander and Mudkip (Charmander base)
- Turtwig and Chimchar (Chimchar base)
- Purrloin and Meowth (Pick base)

On Purrloin, you recolored it as Meowth but elft some of Purrloin's original purple outlines on it.

The other sprites were excellent. There wasn't anything wrong, although the Charmander looks a bit odd with a blue flame coming off of its tail. xp

Lets start by looking at Pikachu.

What bothers me here is the shading. ^ The sprite on the left is the one you did with mismatch shading. The on the right is the one I fixed up with correct shading. But, the sprites you're using bother me. You're using the old third generation sprites. Don't use them when you sprite, because the shading and colors are outdated.

Your fusions lookg reat, especially the Axew.
You ddin't ahve to add Petilil's base to Cottonee. It would've been fine with just his petals, as they're pretty small Pokemon.

Basic recolors is a form of spriting where you take two Pokemon, and swap their colors, which gives them the other Pokemon's colors. It's the most simplest and common form of spriting done.
But first, some guidelines.
- Always save every sprite as .PNG or .GIF. Never save as .JPG. This causes the quality of the sprite to br destroyed.
- Never edit the shading of the Pokemon. Keep it the same. Don't add or remove shading.
- Always recolor according to the shading. Lightest shade to lightest, darkest to darkest, etc.

- Charmander as Turtwig

Your sprites are really good.
You've left some spots on Vulpix and Poochyena that aren't recolored. Poochyena still has its red nose, and Vulpix's underbelly and ears have the same color it seems.
They're not really such a big deal since the areas you didn't recolor are rarely noticed, but I still advise you to recolor everything possible on the Pokemon.

I'll give you one more assignment then an exam:

Hey whenever i erase the black on the sprite, the outline goes away. Do you have a sprite sheet or something?

This is a common problem with a simple solution.

Usually, this is a result of people copying the sprite and pasting it into Paint. I don't advise this, because the black background becomes a problem.
I save the sprites as an image. Then once they're saved I start up Paint and "Paste From" the sprites, rather than copying and pasting.

Spoiler Alert:    

There are other cases where this usually happens due to the B/W sprites' transparency.
This can't be solved using the Save As - Paste From method, so you'll have to screenshot the image. CTRL + PRT SCRN.
Once you get a screenshot, you paste it into Paint and copy the sprite you want to use. Then you can just paste it into your other Paint.

The Lucario trainer would've been fine without the leg's and actual arms. In Trainers, it's mainly about editing parts so they fit on the Trainer and recoloring to make it look like it's cosplaying.

Now, remember, don't overdue the Fusing.

Onto Advanced Recolors.

Advanced Recolors are a more advanced form of recolors, if you couldn't tell by the name. They involve creating your own color palettes, and sometimes fusing and scratching.
Advanced Recolors usually involve you having to follow a certain theme. i.e. Rainbow Mew, Winter Snivy.

Your first assignment is.
- Spring Grovyle
- Summer Ivysaur
- Winter Grotle
- Autumn Bayleef

If you need help with a certain theme, just inform me and I'll assist you.

you would need either Paint.Net or Photoshop to make it transparent.

I should probably say this first, though. I can do basic recolors, but have never, EVER, fused anything before, so I may give a little trouble to my teacher. I'm sorry. ^^;;

Done Shiny I believe I improve a ton, my friend Graboidfan31 taught me to sprite correctly. I can't complete any sprites next week because of summer camp. Sorry I put them in JPG by accident because I am used to my laptop that save it PNG so I won't need to change it, I was using my dad laptop for the sprites here, sorry. Instead of making me do them again can I have a new assignment. I will make some sprites to make up for them. My computer save the Typlosion as JPG I make some in PNG.

Unfortunately, Basic Fusions require for you to pass Basic Recolors here. Due to you just joining, you will have to pass Recolors first.

The Luxray trainer would have to be your best, then Aggron.
One thing that bothers me is the Suicune trainer. The way you positioned it, the trainer's "hairpiece" abruptly ends on the canvas. You could've easily solved that by enlarging the canvas size, and moving the trainer a bit to the right.
The Conkeldurr bothers me too. You just seemed to paste the stone pillars on to Wake's hands. You didn't attempt to edit his fingers so they look like he's holding them at least.

But, either way, you've succeeded at passing Trainers.

I see Advanced Recolors as easier than Fusions, because it's just a more complex way of recoloring. It just involves having a basic idea of themes.

Now Fusions are when you take multiple Pokemon sprites (they most commonly involve two) and combine the sprites. Sometimes this results in them looking like an offspring of the two, or three, or five. And then there are times when the Pokemon just weren't meant to be fused.

Here are some guidelines.
- Make clean cuts. Don't cut a part off so that it abruptly ends, is missing outlines, or just doesn't look right. You want to make sure you're cuts are clean. if you can't avoid this, you can just easily scratch the missing parts or outlines.
- Make sure parts fuse together right. You want them to seem as if they were there originally. You don't want it to seem as if it's just been sloppily pasted on.
- You may edit the shading if it looks unusual. Sometimes when you fuse a part, it may clash with the current shading. This makes it alright to edit shading.

And one other thing I keep on forgetting.
- When you flip parts, remember to reshade the sprite according to the position it is in. When you flip a sprite, the shading doesn't magically adapt to the side it's on. You have to reshade it manually.

- Chimchar and Aipom - Chimchar base
- Growlithe and Lillipup - Growlithe base

Unfortunately, it's not that easy. Even if you do save it as .JPG then resave it as .PNG, it will still have the horrible quality.

Infernoes are one of the most basic forms of spriting, if not the most basic.

Furret - It's pretty good. The thing that bothers me is that mohawk flame is positioned awkwardly. You should've centered it a bit.
Plus it ends abruptly in the back. You could've scratched the rest of the mohawk so it touches Furret's backhead.
Klink - The Fusion is good, but it looks cluttered. Other than that, it's fine.

Unfortunately, they're not correct.
What you did was recolor the sprite to make it have one color as it's base. You have to give the Pokemon "layers" to give it a flaming appearance.
EX:
You see how I gave Starly layers instead of just recoloring it as Red?
I want you to redo the sprites so it has the flaming appearance an Inferno needs.
