Steve shone his flashlight around he heard screeching from the end of the tunnel.

Sydney teared up a little and decided to call Kevin. Kevin was her cousin. He knew almost everything about her.

"Hello? Is anybody here?" Steve said as he looked around. His flashlight died out.

Sydney put her phone away but had a suddenly realization. She decided to call Steve to figure out where he was. However she hesitated.

"This... isn't good." Steve heard another scream. "Hello?! Is anyone there?!" Steve looked around. He replaced the batteries in the flashlight. He turned it on again.

Sydney when in search of Steve. She left the base and started walking toward the mountains.

Steve fainted from the person he saw. He was dragged to an unknown place. "Hello? Where am I? You can't do this to me, I have a..." Steve went for his gun only realizing it was gone.

Sydney found a caveat the foot of the mountains. She entered cautionly because she didn't have a flashlight.

Steve sat down on the ground. "Where are you?!"

Sydney heard a faint sound and decided to press on. "Hello?!" She yelled continuously in the dark

"Who's there?" Steve yelled. "HELP!"

Sydney heard another sound again. "I'm coming!" She groped along the side of the cave.

"HHHEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!!" Steve yelled as he tried to smash a wall. "Where am I?"

Sydney came to the end of the tunnel. Sydney still didn't have flashlight and was still groping along the wall. Suddenly she tripped.

"Come out! I know your here!" Steve yelled as he looked around the room.

Sydney stood back up. She kept groping along. "Is there a light somewhere?"

"Come out!" Steve yelled as he fell down.

Sydney got down on the floor in search of something to light the room. She felt a lighter and flicked it to produce a flame.

Steve saw the figure right as the light came on. He fainted again.

Sydney saw something against the wall. She walked toward it when she found out it was Steve. "Steve. Steve." She shook him lightly.

Steve didn't respond. He knew the dark figure was in this room with them. He tried to tell her as he regained consciousness.

All of a sudden, Sydney was hit upside the head. She regained consciousness tied up in a small stone room. Despite the fact she was gagged, she still attempted to yell.

Steve looked at her. "He's here... he's watching us."

Sydney manipulated her mouth to get the gag off. "Who is?"

"Him." Steve pointed to the figure on the wall.

"What's his name, Steve?" Sydney stayed relatively calm.

"He has no name." Steve said in his trance.

Sydney rubbed her arms against the stone. "Steve, everything has a name."

"He doesn't." Steve said in his trance. "No soul, no allies."

The rope holding Sydney's arms was worn down. It was easy to tear now. She started to untie her legs.

"He's always watching you. Even right now." The shadow came out of Steve and began to retie Sydney.

"What the hell?! How do we escape?" Sydney kicked around, squirming as if her life depended on it which it might have.

Steve began to regain consciousness. "Where am I?!" Steve notices Sydney. "Oh no. They got you too!"

"Yeah. Kinda been here for awhile." Sydney again attempted to get out of the bindings. "How do we get out?"

"I don't even remember getting put in here." Steve said as he tried to wiggle out.

Sydney looked at Steve. "Come here!" She slid her hands under her legs and to her front.

"I'll try." Steve squiggled over to Sydney.

Sydney got on her knees and started working the knots out of the rope. She finally untied him.

Steve sighed in relief. He quickly untied her. "Let's move!"

Sydney got up and started to run. She wasn't going to stop.

Steve ran behind her. He slipped on a rock and fell. The dark spirit was quickly behind him.

Sydney looked behind her. Steve was on the ground. Sydney picked him up. "Keep running!"

"Alright." Steve tried to run but the shadow grabbed him. "NO!"

Sydney held onto Steve. She wasn't giving him up.

"Go without me." Steve said as he began to be dragged further in.

"No!" Sydney dug her heels into the ground to help out. "I'm not leaving you!"

"It's... the only... way." Steve said as he started getting dragged back further. "Sydney. For your sake."

"I refuse to give up!" Sydney used all her strength to pull him away but to no avail. "Steve, I'll never leave you! I love you!"

"I..." Steve kept being dragged back. Steve flailed his feet around. He somehow got free.

Sydney tripped and blushed a little. "You..you okay?" Sydney didn't want to say a lot. She was afraid of ruining anything they still might have.

"Ya I'm alright." Steve grabbed her hand. "I got you!"

Sydney stood up. "Thanks. I'm sorry."

Steve began running holding onto her hand. "Sorry for what?"

"I don't even know how you feel about me." Sydney kept running for dear life.

"Now is not the time for that." Steve said as he got out of the cave.

"Fine." Sydney was right behind him.

Steve looked at the top of the mountain to find the huge boulder laying atop the mountain. "Move out of the way. I'm doing this!" Steve said with great anticipation. He wanted to do this since day one of when he got out there into the mountains. Now with Sydney there he knew he could do it. "Here we go!" Steve dug in with his heels.

Sydney felt like he was avoided her, but watched scared to death he was going to hurt himself.

"Out of the way. I don't want you hurt." Steve said as he began pushing.

Sydney moved far enough away. She waited for him to finish.

Steve began moving the boulder. It fell and blocked the entrance of the cave. Steve fell down the mountain after pushing it.

Sydney ran down the mountain to see if Steve was okay.

Steve passed out from exhaustion. He laid there half off a cliff.

Sydney got down to him. "Steve." She pulled him toward her a and waited for him to wake up.

"Y... yeah?" Steve said as he began waking up.

"Don't do that again. You scared the hell out of me." Sydney picked him up and carried him down the mountain.

"It was... for you." Steve said with his sigh of breathe.

"If you had fallen any farther you would've been dead." Sydney sighed a little.

"Yeah... lucky I guess." Steve said as they approached the bottom of the mountain.

When they reached the bottom, Sydney put him down and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Steve tried to stand up. He did but he limped.

"Here." Sydney put his arm around her shoulder and put her had on his hip. "Use me as support."

"Okay." Steve said as he limped along with her. "I... I did it. The spirit, it's gone."

"You did but come on." Sydney kept walking until they reached the base.

Steve found his old wheelchair. "Good old chair." Steve sat down in it.

Sydney decided to sit down as well. She was tired.

Steve moved back in forth in his wheelchair. He rode to his workshop.

Sydney continued to sit in the blazing sun. She collapsed.

Steve went to work on his wheelchair. He added some engines and rockets to the chair. He began placing the wires in. He decided to give it a test. He rocketed out of the room hitting a couple boxes. "It works..." Steve said as he wheeled his way back to Sydney. "Sydney?"

Sydney breathed heavily. She was on the brink of hyperthermia.

"Are you alright." Steve said as he tried picking her up but fell out of his wheelchair. "Here." Steve gave her his suit and jacket.

"How's A jacket going to help?" Sydney's voice was weak and brittle.

Steve looked at her oddly. "Oh, my mistake. I don't have anything to cool you down." Steve said as he had his face planted on the ground. "GUARDS! GUARDS?!"

Sydney stood up roughly and stuck out her hand. "Let me help you up." Sydney barely had the strength to stand, but she would lend a helping hand.

"I..." Steve looked into her eyes. "Alright." Steve tried to not to use all of her strength. Steve sat down in his wheelchair. "Sit down in my lap." Steve said as he pushed some buttons.

"Okay." Sydney sat in Steve's lap.

Steve pressed a button and they zoomed off. Steve brought them to a air conditioned room.

"Thank you." Sydney hugged Steve then layed down. "Thank you."

"That's what I'm here for." Steve said as he handed her a walkie talkie. "Contact me on this." Steve said as he left the room.

Sydney layed on the floor.

Steve sobbed a bit when he left. He pulled himself into his workchair.

Once cooled down, Sydney decided to go find Steve.

Steve sat in his office chair spinning about. He looked into the desert. "Man I hate this place."

Sydney heard Steve's voice. "Where would you rather be?" Sydney leaned against the door frame.

"I'm not sure. Just out of this desert but... I checked my doctors files. I might never walk again." Steve said as he began sobbing.

"You'll find a way." Sydney walked over and put her hand on Steve's shoulder.

Steve began sobbing worse. Then he suddenly stopped. "I can go anywhere I want. This wheelchair doesn't matter."

"Exactly." Sydney went off to see what the news was. "Steve, we're headed to Florida."

"Why?" Steve said. He really wanted to go somewhere cooler.

"Or Maine. Your choice. Rebels there are planning an attack. We've been requested." Sydney gave a half smile suspious of the request.
