1 – TurtwigXCave Story - Balcony
This one has to do with the situation in the game (and only people who have played this will know what I mean). Going through Last Cave (Hidden) with all weapons at Level 1, where there is no save point nor heal point at all, along with lava pits, spikes, and even the Red Ogre, this song just calms me after a difficult journey through Last Cave....
2 – TurtwigX, Ningamer
1 – TurtwigXThe Sacred Duet from Spirit Tracks
This is a very beautiful song and one of 3 reasons why Spirit Tracks is one of my favorite games. This is definitely my favorite final boss theme in the Zelda series. I remember playing through the final cutscenes just so I could hear this song play. The way it builds up gives it a wonderful climactic feeling. Who cares if Malladus is the only final to not use a sword?
1 – ReuniclusRaiden III - A Labyrinth of Steel (Stage 4)
Many thanks to Wulf Cines for introducing me to such an awesome shoot-em-up series as Raiden. :3
1 – TurtwigXSomething about the Hiker song in Diamond and Pearl... Just... Makes me so happy!
1 – JDxImpetusReplaying some other games I've had tucked away... I love Catus Carnival.
Also love Taokaka.
1 – JDxImpetusI remember a time when I said that I hated all music in Megaman 6. Well now that's a lie. I just remembered one of my favorite songs from the game: Stage Select.
Since most of my time playing this game is in the boss rush room I usually don't hear this song. But as I was mashing the next button on my iPod this came on and I fell in love with it. To me it's the most exciting boss select song and quite possibly even my favorite of the whole classic series. I could honestly listen to just this short loop for hours on end.
1 – JDxImpetusThe map song from Awakening is quite possibly my most favorite theme so far. I heard this song when I was playing through my new Fire Emblem game and it's just....well, shocking that it's just a map song. (It's also meant to be a sad song) I wish I learned how to play the piano so that I could try recreating parts of the song.
1 – TurtwigXI was scrolling through my music library again when I came across some of my favorite songs I can just shake it to! There's four of 'em, so I'll title it the Sweet Mountain Suite! Sweet Mountain Map and Act 1 ~ 3!
Act 2 is my favorite.
What I really love about this Zone was the BASS. Oh man, it's just my favorite kind of bass playing next to slap bass. I think the only thing that could match this is Asteroid Coaster Zone because of all the Jun Senoue stank. Eggman's PA commentary here is hilarious, too. "We know they look delicious, but please refrain from licking the rides. That would be disgusting. People sat on those. WITH THEIR BUTTS."
2 – GalliumGrant, JDxImpetusSonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles-Flying Battery Zone Act 2
To think Micheal Jackson helped make this album and it really shows.. but he left saying the Genesis soundfont didn't sound good to him. Still left with making one of the best Themes in sonic history
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles- Ice Cap Zone Act 1
well what can I say...Smooth Criminal
2 – TurtwigX, zsaberslashDark Cloud - The Djinni Dran
the 1st Boss of the game, and like the entire soundtrack to this game; fantastic
Dark Cloud - Black Knight Pendragon
The extra boss of the game, after clearing an RPG cliche of 100 Floors to get the best weapon in the game...sadly it's after you finish the game so it's worthless, I Love this theme...but never fought the boss
Dark Cloud - Memories
By far the most relaxing and somber piece of music in this game, especially with what happens w/ the story in the last dungeon
1 – ReuniclusBy the way, renaming thread to more accurately reflect posts. If it was your favorite track in video game you were posting, you'd only post once every now and again. The same people post in here all the time.
1 – TurtwigXSuper Mario Galaxy- Bowser Jr's Airship Armada
Such an awesome song, I like any of the songs out of this game.
Sonic 2- Boss Theme
My (Current) favourite video game song of all time. Such an upbeat song and is just epic.
1 – JDxImpetusLately, I've been playing a lot of Persona 4, and of course, this means I pick up on the music within, catchy lyrics in tow.
Also, because of both it's usage in Arena and The Animation, some of Persona 3's music as well.
2 – JDxImpetus, PokemanmdjOh thank you, this needed a name change. Many apologies, Charry~
I've been in the mood of orchestration lately (Writing complex sheet music and whatnot) What better game than Galaxy?
Rosalina's Comet and Starship Mario!
I've also learned how to play the melody from Yoshi Star Galaxy on my saxophone.
Got a ton of favorites:
Raiden III and IV - A Labyrinth of Steel
Verytex - Act 1: "The Void of Space"
Gley Lancer - Stage 1
Sol-Feace - Stage 1
Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night - Dracula's Castle
Thunder Force 5 - Rising Blue Lightning
And you gotta have some Metal Gear Solid:
That's all for now. I'll post more later. ![]()
3 – JDxImpetus, Pokemanmdj, GalliumGrantI CANNOT EXPLAIN MY OBSESSIVE LOVEOF THE BATTLE THEME FROM SHADOW OF THE COLLOSSUS ENOUGH!!Cklsdjkcldsjfkldjskl SOOOO MUCH AMAZINGESS, IT PRACTICALLY SPARKLES AND SHINES LIKE RAINBOWS! Or maybe that's me, spewing 'em out as I listen to this godly piece. >w< Not to mention I'm rather obsessively fascinated by the creature this song first plays for, Avion~ [/fangirlmode]
2 – Seiji J. Konokama, GalliumGrantKingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix- Lord of The Castle
.....Um....Thank You Yoko Shimimoura...You Remade this boss theme.
I Love this Song. and Yoko just made it EVEN BETTER, especially if you compare it to the original.
Ys Seven- Crossing Rage
first off...thanks Reun for showing my the soundtrack to this game..
second this song Rocks...
Guilty Gear X2- Haven't You Got Eyes in your head
Rock and Jazz....Simple as that
2 – LugiaDialga, ReuniclusSome ALL DOOM songs and some ripoffs are cool.
Duke Nukem 3D's Title Screen (Grabbag)
You know it's good when you hear this.
DOOM (DOS MIDI) Sign of Evil
This songs fits very well with the tone, and leads too awesomely into the next song.
DOOM (DOS MIDI) I Sawed the Demons
1 – JDxImpetusSonic CD: Boss has got to be my favorite boss music of all time. It's just so fun and upbeat and it even sampled one of my mom's favorite songs, Work That Sucker To Death. In fact, that's my favorite part. WORK THAT SUCKER TO DEATH, COME ON NOW. I remember playing Sonic CD on my phone is class all the time last year because of this. The US version was certainly scarier, but I didn't like it. It was an effective boss song, but not my favorite.
1 – JDxImpetusLost Odyssey - Howl of The Departed
This Song Has Uematsu written all over it. The Choir, The Feeling . That and the Guitar Riff at the Beginning.
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 - Vergil's Theme
This One theme combines his Boss battle themes in to one..
Now I'm torn between This Version, The DMC3 Version, or The new Combichrist version..
1 – TurtwigXUh, Chrono Triggers 600 AD...
Zanarkland- y'know, FF10...
And both versions of Persona 3's "Living with Determination-" the song that plays in the dorm and the other song that plays anywhere else other than the school and dorm during the final month.
Some very, very calm stuff. ![]()
1 – JDxImpetusMarvel vs Capcom 2- River Theme
......DAT JAZZ....So much Jazz
I can't believe I used to dislike the Soundtrack to this game just for being Jazz.
Blazblue Chronophantasma- Gluttony Fang 2 (Hazama's Theme)
...The Piano in the Beginning...the Guitar Riff, and the Thrashing commences
Dark Cloud 2- The Flower Garden
Somber, Calm, and Relaxing. For the oddest reason I can hear some of the original Dark Cloud tunes in the Flutes.
1 – TurtwigXPick a track from Banjo Kazooie or Banjo Tooie. Go on. Any track.
Two of the best video game soundtracks of all time, the composer of which (Grant Kirkhope) has uploaded both soundtracks to his Bandcamp page for FREE! If you've missed out on playing either games, at the very least give their soundtracks a very justified listen, they're full of the catchiest jingles you'll hear in all of video games!
Kazooie: http://grantkirkhope.bandcamp.com/album/banjo-kazooie
Tooie: http://grantkirkhope.bandcamp.com/album/banjo-tooie
2 – TurtwigX, Cat333PokémonUnder Night in-Birth - Rushing Heart
Upbeat....and Awesome....
DmC (Devil May Cry) - Empty
A very very Dark song...only if I knew the Lyrics
Blazblue Chronophantasma - The Terror
No Words, only Guitar...lots of it
Guilty Gear XX # Reload - Vortex Infinitum
Electronic, Upbeat, Electric Guitar....
2 – TurtwigX, PokemanmdjIt's been a while. Ever since I beat Mother 3, Natural Killer Cyborg has been on the mind. (Partially related, me and a friend managed to make a joke about natural logarithms and this song's title. Natural Killer Logarithm.)
3 – JDxImpetus, Pokemanmdj, ReuniclusEver since I was little and first saw my cousin Andy play the mission from Call of Duty... hearing Viktor Durasov's speech as they rode into stalingrad... it was glorious... glorious. The music itself helped drive home the entire setting.
Also, not a song, don't forget the speech i mentioned earlier. I tear up a little bit when I hear it.

Dragons Dogma - Into Free
Final Fantasy 10 Zanarkand (Just incase you dont know this plus X 2 is being released in a HD collection for PS3 and Vita)
Kingdom Hearts 2 - Sanctuary
Kindodom Hearts - Simple And Clean
Metal Gear Solid - The Best Is Yet To Come
Sonic - Dreams Of Absolution
Final Fantasy 7 - One Winged Angel (Amazing)
Harvest Moon A wonderful Life - Song Of Silence
as some of you might have guessed by now i play ALOT of games, hence i have alot of favorite Songs =3 (this is just a few of my many Favorite songs)
1 – JDxImpetusTo the post above. after reading your post i immediately thought of this and loved it =3
Sonic - Sega Mega Drive Green Hill Zone
1 – Seiji J. KonokamaThis is a very rare moment, so record it in your timelines, folks. But this song is one of my favorite Pokémon songs ever. I love the Theme of Hope from PMD:GTI way more than the Determination song from PMD2, which was previously my favorite PMD song. Then this came along and I realized there was so much POTENTIAL and LOVE in this.
1 – Seiji J. KonokamaDefinitely Otherworld from Final Fantasy X, just one of the best pieces I could find in a game.
1 – JDxImpetusAfter playing through possibly one of my new favorite games, I've acquired a few songs that will be stuck in my head for awhile from Recettear.
First being
Closed Shop: So catchy and happy.
Night: Two days left before my house gets taken and I'm still 300,000 money short? No problem... just super stressful. This certainly removed any and all stress I had after the last two days.
Last Boss: I haven't actually done a whole lot of dungeon crawling because I've been busy trying to get enough money to pay off the debts before the week was over, but this is pretty good (YouTube has to end it abruptly though). Now that all the debts have been paid off, I can go explore for days if I want to.
Town: My daily routine - In the morning: Stop off at the Guild to buy some weapons and armor; stop off at the market to buy food, clothes and some other miscellaneous items; pause and listen to this. Rest of the day: Sell everything I bought.
Sonic The Hedgehog - Dreams of Absolution
-I Hated this song....I really really did, then it just grew on me over time
Then just listening to it over and over..
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep - Forze dell' Oscurita
Forze Del Male and Darkness of the Unknown remixed, and combined into one song?....why not
2 – TurtwigX, Seiji J. KonokamaSky Tower is definitely my favorite theme. Almost nothing will ever come close to beating it, and if you've played PMD, you know the emotion associated with this song. There is nothing like hearing this for the first time after going through the game events and the revelation to you right before you enter this dungeon.
4 – JDxImpetus, TurtwigX, Seiji J. Konokama, Reuniclus
1 – RaytwOSTEarthBound - Eight Melodies
Probably one of the most relaxing and soothing pieces of music i've listened to
3 – Seiji J. Konokama, TurtwigX, Pokemanmdj
Where's the Kirby's Return to Dreamland music? I like C-R-O-W-N-E-D. (Still can't believe any mention of Kirby in this thread is only about 0².)
No one saw it coming, so I decided to put this here: 妖精大戦争 (Fairy Wars)
2 – Pokemanmdj, TarellethielTouhou time: Fires of Hokkai!
The way the composer described this song was "a song with too much tension" and I'd agree. The final stage is very tense and the music backs it up. It complements stage 6's tense music in a variety of ways. The most obvious way is it turns that tension into adrenaline in an instant. It also adds onto the dramatic-tense feeling the stage music gave.
Still have yet to beat this boss on Normal.
2 – Pokemanmdj, Tarellethiel|

1 – JDxImpetus
2 – TurtwigX, PokemanmdjAs a big fan of NIS America games, I whole heartily strongly approve of this song!
Time and Eternity - Tower Battle
1 – EaglesY'all obviously don't know the best kirby songs out there, let me help you out: Air Ride's City, Super Star's Gourmet Race, and Nightmare in Dreamland's Dedede Battle
C'mon, now(The Dedede fight from Dreamland two is beast as well, btw).
1 – JDxImpetusDevils Never Cry
I Love this game....I Love this song, I love the meaning behind the song
specifically the last 3 scenes leading to this song
So Cold
0_0......
This...This is what Rap nowadays should be.
The tone of the song and character that it defines
you beat this Happy-Go Lucky Pimp and his carefree nature fades and he gets angry...very very angry
Distortion World
All is empty, all is dark. Time is to nothingness and you are nothing as well. Perfect background music for the setting.
Giratina Battle
Musical dissonance, the frantic feeling, you are swallowed by the notes and also by Giratina. Crazy music I love that suits the king of antimatter well.
Opening Theme
And Platinum's opening... is just great, isn't it? Giratina looks so adorable~
4 – JDxImpetus, Eagles, Reuniclus, TarellethielI think all Touhou music is epic, but Flandre's theme is most definitely best. If you don't know Touhou, the entire series was created by one man, music and all. He claims he had absolutely no prior musical knowledge. The impression is he sat down with a Garageband type program and came out with its amazing music.
Touhou songs have many, many, many fan-made versions.
For something pokémon related, the Birth of Mewtwo wins since Mew's Theme was too short.
For something from an actual pokémon game, XD001's battle theme was quite cool.
2 – Cyrus, TurtwigX|
K.K. Jongara is really catchy. If you have New Leaf, head to Rich's (from the dev team) house in the HHA Showcase and go to his second floor to hear it with his funky gyroids.
|
2 – Reuniclus, Cat333PokémonThis reminds myself as to why I stretch out really important battles. (Given, a lot of them will take a ton of time anyway.
And some seem impossible as half of the time since the enemy has 100 000 HP and you're dealing about 20 with each hit
and then a miraculous event and then BAM 400 DAMAGE
darn Atlus and their hard games
they're so enjoyable)
It's Frog Hop and Lockstep that made Rhythm Heaven my favorite rhythm game. While I was borrowing it from a friend, I played these two games and was instantly infatuated. If it weren't for these I don't think I'd be so attached to the series.
Especially the first one. I know all the words by heart and could break out in song at any time. (Plus I think it's the only RH song that's not a sad love song.)
My square of Kirby favorites: "Why Kirby is darker than you think."
Kirby's Dreamland 3- Dark Matter
I could listen to this for hours.
Kirby's Dreamland 3- Zero
Exploding eyeball~<3
Kirby 64- Miracle Matter
My favorite song of the square.
I'm one of very few people that doesn't love the Zero-Two music that much. I prefer the ones above, but it's still a good song and it completes the square.
1 – EaglesAs of now, there is a limit of 100 posts per page.
