Sydney was lost in the view out the window. There wasn't much to see that she hadn't already seen a million times, but this view was restless, unserene, and lost.
"It's not the window. It's the view." Sydney continued to look out it. The trees made an almost crying sound, and the creek and the bottom ran slow and hesitant.
"Yeah. I hear everything since I'm a spirit now. Everything tells me their stories. The trees, the sky, the water, the people, and the animals. I'm one with everything like this." Steve sighed. "I'm with my brother up here. I'm back with my family."
"That's good." Sydney felt terrible. "A power struggle isn't how they should've gone. Every time I saw you, my heart broke a little. I didn't have the heart to tell you the real reason they died was Josh and my obession with power."
"Oh my god.. i know I'm not high and seeing you guys talk to yourselves, because I haven't done that in a while.. I need to get some air.. Uh... Er..." Matt awkwardly walked out.
"Please forgive me. I killed my own familly for power. I bludgeoned in my own father's head. I don't know what's wrong with me." Sydney started to cry.
He noticed. Every tree looked into some room. He walked over to Sydney. "Do you think we can chop these trees?... They are... scaring me.." He said pathetically.
