1 – LucarioMarioMy friend hates anything Sonic.
(he likes Colors kinda) I love SAB2, I would much perfer a remake of it on 3DS unfortunatly that probably won't happen since Generations will be the big Sonic game.
Anyways, bringing in awesomesauce songs:
Theme of Amaterasu (MvC 3)
Starwolf Theme (Starfox 64)
Mewtwo Battle (Stadium)
And I might as well put one Sonic song in:

1 – ReuniclusBEST SONG OF ALL TIME WARNING!
WARNING:
Any amazing music or Nintendo music orchestrated is nowhere near as awesome as this
The Opened Way: Battle with the Colossus
1 – GalliumGrantMeh, I have a ton of favorite compositions in which I can never decide which one is the best, but I happen to love the music in Streets of Rage 2 a lot. Catchy notes, slick baseline, an awesome drum-set... I swear to god if I make a Pokemon hack I would personally port these drum samples (or DAC samples, named specifically for the console it was on, don't ask; nerdy ****) to that Pokemon game. Why is it that Yuzo Koshiro is never mentioned around here? ![]()

Don't say I warned you away from the awesome, bro!
The Opened Way: Battle with the Colossus |
For such a bombed game by critics, it's good that Duke Nukem Forever has a good theme song.

Panzer Dragoon Orta - Ancient Weapon 1
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Cave Friend Area
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 - Primal Dialga Battle
Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia - Dark Altru Tower
Oh there are plenty more but this is what I'll put as my top 5 list for now though I'm sure there are other's I forgot about since I just love too much music! x3

Goodness, I have so many I like, I couldn't fit them all in one list. So I'll post my current favorites I've been listening to as of late. Seiji J. Konokama above me here already posted three of mine on this page, Singing of the Gentle Wind The Promise, and Unstolen Jewel. Not sure if my pal's already listed these other ones here, so I'm posting them anyways. :3
Full Force (Tales Of Symphonia)
Small Two Of Pieces (Xenogears)
Fuse (Xenogears)
1 – Seiji J. Konokama
1 – Wulf CinesThe entire SkyRoads soundtrack. God that music (minus the samples, which have been mis-sampled by DOSBox) is amazing.
Cave Story: Running Hell
Yes I like the European Soundtrack better than the North American Soundtrack one
1 – GalliumGrant
1 – Wulf CinesThe Friendly Faith Plate from Portal 2 is the single catchiest thing I've ever heard. EVER. The Part Where He Kills You is also EPIC.
I'vw been listening to the Portal 2 OST in case you haven't noticed...
2 – GalliumGrant, JC
1 – GalliumGrantPlaying Sonic Generations has put me in a Sonic-y mood. Good or bad, Sonic games always have kick-ass soundtracks.
1 – zsaberslash
2 – Lucaria, Wulf Cines
3 – zsaberslash, Dark Sonic, GalliumGrant

Super Smash Bros.: Meta Crystal
1 – Wulf CinesA few of my personal favorites that stick out.
Hero of the Wind
Twilight Princess: Don't Want You No More
Xion
THE Legend of Zelda
Punch Out!!!
Blinded By Light
Tons more of course, but those are just a few random picks.
1 – Wulf CinesI just remembered another old classic favorite of mine called Truxton, Stage 2 is by far in my opinion the best song from the game.
1 – GalliumGrantI have many, many favourites in terms of VGM, some well known and some not.
However 8 melodies goes down for me as one of the most simple yet beautiful pieces ever written for a game. I love MOTHER :3
2 – Seiji J. Konokama, TurtwigXTower of Heaven - Luna Ascension
Even though it's music from a flash game, I'm counting it.
1 – ParadoxI've loved this ever since I first heard it years ago, and still rocking to the tunes from the show. I know these aren't from the game but they are video game related. <3
1 – Seiji J. KonokamaDon't just admire the classics, respect them for what they started.
Mega Man 3 - Protoman Theme
3 – GalliumGrant, TurtwigX, Eagles
2 – GalliumGrant, Wulf CinesThis one's become a new favorite of mine this Gley Lancer, and the game plays similar to any one I've played before (like Thunder Force and other games). And Konokama, you made some great music choices yourself. Go Vectorman go!
1 – GalliumGrant"Get Crazy - More Rave" from Dyna Brothers 2! (Also used as the background music in Neo South Island Zone from the Sonic 2 hack "Sonic 2 Advanced Edit" by Rika Chou! :3)
1 – Wulf CinesI have to say, a memory came back to me of all the fun I had playing Halo and so I thought of this one particular song, Never Forget. It's been a favorite of mine ever since I heard it on the XBOX 360.
Then there's also gotta be the one from Raiden, Rough and Tumble.
And I might as well add onto my post so I don't double post here. Silvery Light Of The Moon from Thunder Force IV (Lightning Force in the U.S.)
1 – GalliumGrant
1 – Wulf CinesI have a special attachment to the music from Metal Gear Solid. The alert music in particular, I swear I could hear it playing a mile away if I tried. It's even my alert on my phone.
It's just that I played that game so much when I was in my early-mid teens, and then the rest of the series after that. Game = childhood.
2 – GalliumGrant, Blood SwampertCara Mia Addio - Portal 2
Credits - Pokémon Gold & Silver
Reconstructing More Science - Portal 2
The Dark World - A Link To The Past

4000 Degrees Kelvin - Portal (Valve really know how to make music)
Final Boss Theme - The Legend of Zekda: Wind Waker
Dragonborn - Skyrim
Nerevar Rising - Morrowind
Bastion (The entire soundtrack is amazing! ^^)
Casino Night Zone -Sonic 2
And many many more

1 – JDxImpetusSonic 3- Hydrocity Zone Act 1
BlazBlue: CS- Motor Head
Some sweet bass for you guys.
1 – JDxImpetus
1 – TurtwigXHyrule Field Theme - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Hearing this song literally made my jaw drop.
1 – GalliumGrantDarkness of the Unknown- Kingdom Hearts 2
the 2nd and 3rd parts respectively...amazing
1 – EboletteI've got 2 new favorites now:
Tales of Symphonia: Final Destination
To the Moon: Main theme (If you coun't PC gaming as a category
)
1 – JDxImpetusLooking back on it, I can't say I actually DO have a favorite. Gaming just has such a large, almost endless library of catchy tunes that just get me all the time. It's my favorite genre right next to 80s Rock and Crush 40 ("Hey, they're a band, not a genre!" Shut up.) But, I can say I've been listening to a lot of Megaman Classic, so I will put some there.
Elec Man's stage. I love the way they did the Triangle (Bass) and just how fun it sounds~! Tower-ish? Maybe. Fun? I think it has the most in this game.
Runner ups: None. This game didn't latch onto me with its music.
CRASH! Oh man, this song contains soooooo many memories. Hyadain, dancing, played it during Marching and Pep Band, and just owning with the Metal Blade. It even gives you the feel of ascension.
Runner ups: The whole game. I am serious, I liked every individual song on this game's soundtrack. Some people say they like everything because they can't choose a favorite. I like everything because EVERYTHING IS AMAZING. Megaman 2 is overrated for a reason, it's just that good. There has been better, in some areas, but MM2 is just all around joy.
The Whistle Concert! This is a perfect ending song, and it's a shame you don't get to hear the whole thing (Without the Player-2 cheats.) I just love the melody of the song and how calming this is.
Runner ups: Shadow Man- FAST! DANGEROUS! This song is definitely high up on my list (I was thinking of this before Whistle Concert) and it reminds me of all the times I failed to beat Shadow Man.
All the Dr. Wily Stage songs- They flow into each other well and set up a nice climactic mood. And the boss theme for these stages is more... exciting than the regular one.
The Last Boss! I first heard this in Megaman vs. Zero desperately trying to figure out what this was, and boy was I so happy when I found out. Even though this is one of my least favorite MMC games, I still love Cossack.
Runner ups: Pharaoh Man- This shows off the excellent Noise (Percussion) work they did with this game. Just... ELONGATING it gave it such a beautiful sound~
Boss- It's just so FUN! But not as awesome as the Last Boss music to replace it (But almost)
I think Mega Man 5 had a lot of boring music. A LOT. It has my favorite Robot Masters to beat, but only a few tracks I actually enjoyed. But Star Man It's just so SPACY! SPAAAAAAACE! It gives you that magical feeling that you are in a zone of low gravity surrounded by the stars~
Runner ups: Napalm Man- This was about to be my choice until I remembered how much I love Star Man. Napalm Man just has a very catchy song that's fun to whistle.
Wave Man- Only because the bass in his song is interesting.
Haha, just kidding! I hate ALL songs from Megaman 6! (I never found them catchy enough to listen to except for when I had to.)
I have 2, considering one of them (The one I like more) is DLC, and therefore really isn't a part of the game from initial purchase.
Star Man: IT'S LIKE 8-BIT DUBSTEP! OR WHATEVER ONE MIGHT CALL THAT GENRE! 2nd one: This is a remix of the RM select screen. That's fitting considering it's the song for the RM rebattle stage. I find this one of the catchiest songs in the whole game.
Runner ups: Quite a few, actually. Tornado Man- Easily lovable because of the chords and high parts~
Galaxy Man- THE SAME REASONS AS STAR MAN!
Concrete Man- This reminds me a lot of Wood Man, but better.
We're The Robots- This is my most favorite Wily Stage theme. Ever. Of any Mega Man ever. <3
This game has TOO many favorites. I was stuck between About 5 different Robot Masters when I realized, "Oh, I forgot. Solar Man's song is so the most best and perfect."
Runner ups: There were A LOT so I had to compress them down into one explanation that summarizes everything.
Chill Man, Commando Man, Proto Man's Shop, Bass's Shop, Strike Man, Nitro Man, Get A Weapon, Roll's Gift, Wily Motif, Wily Stage 1 Entrance 1 and 2, Wily Stage Boss, Wily Capsule, Wily's Gift, and Credits- All these songs are great. Catchy, nostalgic, and they fit whatever situation they were made for perfectly. With the new knowledge and technology they made their 8-Bit sound BETTER. Mega Man 10... you deserve applause.
Also, Get the Punk Out and Endless Stage are great DLC tracks.
