I have a level 100 gourgest with pickup, and i still havnt got 1 leftovers from it, but i got everything else at least 3 times.
Also on your birthday, if u walk into a pokemon center for the first time during the day, they throw u a small party of sorts (mostly the congrats thing) and music will change to a more slower/lower pitch of the center theme. (To me it sounds like a babys music version of the center theme) then if u try to heal your mons, the nurse will say "Happy Birthday" "We hope u visit us alot in the years to come" (Got Pretty close to what she says) |
1 – TurtwigXSo I was breeding for a competitive Gallade, so I put two Ralts in the Daycare to maximize the chances of a good Jolly nature Gallade, and my hope was to at least get 31 IVs in HP, Attack, Sp.Defense, and Speed, which was definitely possible. By absolute sheer luck, I bred a Ralts with 31/31/31/31/31/31 IVs. I freaked out because I thought I had a perfect Gallade on my hands.
Problem?
It was female.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
On the plus side, I did get an Adamant Zygarde with 27/31/31/31/31/26 IVs, which is pretty darn awesome.
I stole Cat's 2DS and Pokémon Y.
Ooh, Japanese, let's try that out. I managed to get through the first part of the game (up to Parfum Palace) without too much trouble. By some kind of sheer luck, I only had to soft reset to get a great Chepsin for playing through the story. It's a female, and it's Adamant.
Mainstays:
Quilladin (ハリボーグ) @ Amulet Coin - Lv. 22
Pikachu (ピカチュウ) - Lv. 16
Charmeleon (リザード) - Lv. 16

1 – Luxray13579Welp, after about a week of putting off building the tournament team I'm making, I finally decide to fire up 4 IV calculators to test 4 of the same Pokémon and see which one gets to be used. Just gotta go get them in the Pokémon Center and...
*black screen barely showing Nurse Joy*
...my game froze? Well, that sucks, lemme just...
*screen loads, Pikachu and streamer graphics fill screen, Nurse Joy tells me happy birthday*
Nice touch there, Game Freak. The airier PokéCenter theme is pretty good too.
4 – SpikyEaredPichu96, Cat333Pokémon, TurtwigX, kakashidragonHo cominciato Pokémon X in Italiano! Because... why the hell not? I finally decided on how I was gonna have fun with X and this way I get to test my Italian since I'm gonna be fluent in the language someday. I picked the chick for the first time ever in a Pokémon game ever. Time to Wonderlocke X con il Pokémon Professore Platan!
I can't stop laughing at his name. That's how Sycamore is translated?
Well i got myself Pinsirs megastone. Oh and guess what, after a month and a half i finally was able to get another leftovers with the Pick-up ability! Now i can actully use a better team now for once. Just watch out for a few defensive walls in my teams. Im also preparing my old games for the biggest PokeTransfer ever!

Yeah, the whole lack of Leftovers is kind of a pain. I have been building a competitive team, and by sheer chance I only ended up with two Leftovers users (a huge step-down from my other, more defensive teams) so I am relieved to know that making this one should be somewhat manageable. In the mean time, though, I am trying to get a ridiculously high-leveled Bunnelby for Pickup.
|
They're in the 90s and I've gotten 2 Leftovers from them. (I think the chance of finding one is 1%)I'm working on creating a team to defeat a friend of mine. I took a humiliating defeat and was swept by a belly drum Azumarill! At the moment I'm trying to get a shiny female Ralts because Shiny Mega Gardevoir looks amazing with the blue, white and black color scheme. I've gone through a little over thirty eggs so far, but all normal Ralts. I'm not sure what my team will be, but I'm feeling either a Roserade or evolving the shiny Weepinbel I got in a trade to use on the team to fill one of the spots. This is the first time I've gone all out breeding for a specific kind of Pokemon and built a team in this manner. It's a nice experience, but is so time consuming. I'm using Masuda method (I traded a Petilil for a Ralts from Japan) to get this Ralts. This should be fun (but painful and time consuming at the same time!)

3 – Cat333Pokémon, JDxImpetus, GreenManAfter recovering enough of my mental health I finally finished transferring over all of my Pokémon without a hitch. But that hack check? HA! Guess they forgot to make it Turty proof! I could get in all the illegitimate Pokémon I want, I bet! HAHAHA!! Good thing I decided to only take 1.
2 – Dragonite, BluFire1337I've been trying to catch 'em all to complete my Pokédex and get the Shiny Charm. I've been messing around at Restaurant Le Wow (one good Pokémon and five that need to evolve), and I actually managed to do something...wild.
1 – DragoniteSo I finally got off my lazy butt, downloaded Pokémon Bank and got myself the Celebi. Oh well.
Funny story, a few days ago I took my 3DS apart, which ended up resetting the internal clock to 1/1/2011. I never bothered resetting it, and now the Date Received on the Celebi says I got it before Black and White even came out. That should make legitimacy checks somewhat interesting.
Time to take some of the dozens of Ho-oh and Lugia I've acquired through multiple playthroughs of Gen 4 games and Wonder Trade them, I guess?

Well, that's it. It was a pain getting some of the Pokémon. Fun fact: Zubat was one of the last ones I caught.

Off to the Living Dex~!
4 – PokeRemixStudio, kakashidragon, Twiggy, DragoniteA Shiny Living Pokédex? I don't think anyone suggested that, but I started a thread on a Living Pokédex back when Black 2/White 2 were new:
http://victoryroad.net/showthread.php?t=10922
Edit: never mind, Yoshi suggested it:
Earlier this week I qualified for a free copy of XY through Club Nintendo but now I don't.
I wonder if it has to deal with how I got my previously downloaded games today because my 3DS was refurbished.
On the plus I managed to play my copy of Emerald again and I'm going to use the team to concur every region!
I decided to restart my X sometime a little while ago, and gave away all of my somewhat decent things to various people.
Most balanced trade ever:

Who was the original one who suggested that? |
This post is probably going to be overshadowed by the huge announcement coming in a few hours, but whatever.
I restarted Y recently with the idea that I'd trade in twelve eggs and use those to form two teams that I would swap between after every badge. After weighing movesets and forcing myself to pick one from each generation for each team, I worked out what I thought would make the game fun. Here's what I've got right now. (Possible Undertale spoilers ahead.)
Sneasel (Shredder) - Lv. 24 @ Amulet Coin
Granbull (Tortilla) - Lv. 24
Quilava (Cinder Cone) - Lv. 25
Aron (Mettaton) - Lv. 19 @ Hard Stone
Nidorina (Acupuncture) - Lv. 26 @ Rocky Helmet
Joltik (Muffet's Pet) - Lv. 19 @ Silver Powder
Anorith (Zyzzyva) - Lv. 13
Axew (Axew) - Lv. 15
Eevee (Amalgamate) - Lv. 1
Skiddo (Asriel) - Lv. 17 @ Miracle Seed
Shellos (Thundersnail) - Lv. 16
Espurr (Temmie) - Lv. 13
Exile (can't use anything but those 12, these are just what was part of the story)
Froakie (Froggit)
Bulbasaur (Bulbous Sore) @ Venusaurite
Snorlax (Flab)
Amaura

For the most part, I've just been picking and choosing based on how Pokémon leveled up and what kinds of moves they learned. Some Pokémon don't perform as well as they did on paper. Granbull would be a great threat to Pangoro if it actually had a Fairy move. It doesn’t learn one until level 43. Breeding for natures is actually not a good idea for a game playthrough unless a Pokémon learns almost entirely either physical of special moves, especially at the lower levels.
Eevee in particular is probably going to become a Jolteon. I've already got the means (without trading) to evolve it into everything except Jolteon, Glaceon, and Leafeon.
I'm also forcing myself to try to keep the bag reasonably clean by selling stuff I don't use (and can't use in X), equipping anything useful, and limiting myself to a handful of different healing items.
3 – SpikyEaredPichu96, Music, TurtwigXUpdate time! I made it back to Lumiose City after restoring the power. I've also added a stipulation that I have to try to keep the lowest-leveled Pokémon on my team. The Exp. Share is practically essential for this type of run. Nidorina has been quite the MVP, but Hustle is a frustrating ability when moves miss; Aerial Ace has been a saving grace. I still need to give Axew a nickname.
Lairon (Mettaton) - Lv. 32 @ Amulet Coin
Gogoat (Asriel) - Lv. 34 @ Miracle Seed
Joltik (Muffet's Pet) - Lv. 32 @ Silver Powder
Axew (Axew) - Lv. 33
Meowstic (Temmie) - Lv. 40
Jolteon (Amalgamate) - Lv. 34
Sneasel (Shredder) - Lv. 28 @ Rocky Helmet

Typhlosion (Cinder Cone) - Lv. 39 @ Flame Plate
Granbull (Tortilla) - Lv. 31
Anorith (Zyzzyva) - Lv. 26
Nidorina (Acupuncture) - Lv. 41 @ Black Sludge

If these updates seem slow, I still play a little bit here and there. Don't worry, I will finish before Sun and Moon come out.
Terminus Cave this time, and the game is definitely proving it can be difficult if you have to juggle twelve Pokémon without letting anyone fall too far behind.
Nidoqueen (Acupuncture) - Lv. 53 @ Black Sludge
Armaldo (Zyzzyva) - Lv. 54 @ Amulet Coin
Galvantula (Muffet's Pet) - Lv. 45 @ Silver Powder
Jolteon (Amalgamate) - Lv. 48
Sneasel (Shredder) - Lv. 49
Haxorus (Hacksaw) - Lv. 51 @ Rocky Helmet
Gastrodon (Thundersnail) - Lv. 54 @ Soft Sand
Typhlosion (Cinder Cone) - Lv. 57 @ Flame Plate

My best six are Typhlosion, Nidoqueen, Armaldo, Gastrodon, Granbull, and Meowstic. On the other hand, Jolteon and Sneasel are absolutely useless on this team. They've pulled nowhere near their weight, and their move sets are garbage. Jolteon is completely beaten out by Galvantula, and Sneasel has been a weakling since the start. I'll likely trade in a Razor Claw soon. Also, Yveltal knows Fly. ![]()
Honestly, this is quite a fun way to play the game while still leaving the Exp. Share on. Leveling up is very much balanced by forcing yourself to try to keep the weakest six on your team each time you go to a town.
A bit of advice for anyone running through with a set of 12 Pokémon traded in as eggs:
2 – kakashidragon, Dragonite
And that's it! I'm not sure if I'm going to bother bringing the other half of them through the league, because they're not terribly great. Honestly, the game was actually somewhat challenging, as I had to force myself to juggle twelve Pokémon while maintaining the necessary HM moves. Anyway, here are the postgame stats:
Typhlosion (Cinder Cone) - Lv. 70
Nidoqueen (Acupuncture) - Lv. 64
Gastrodon (Thundersnail) - Lv. 70
Aggron (Mettaton) - Lv. 67
Granbull (Tortilla) - Lv. 61
Galvantula (Muffet's Pet) - Lv. 59
Gogoat (Asriel) - Lv. 65
Jolteon (Amalgamate) - Lv. 53
Meowstic (Temmie) - Lv. 59
Haxorus (Hacksaw) - Lv. 60
Weavile (Shredder) - Lv. 66
Armaldo (Zyzzyva) - Lv. 61
Pokédex (Seen) - 329

I had the best time with Typhlosion, Nidoqueen, Gastrodon, Aggron, Granbull, Gogoat, and Armaldo. The other five were problematic, from bad movepools to bad stats to just being frail and useless.
1 – Dragonite
