The first pokemon I saw was Blastoise on my Blue cartrige.

It was Pikachu for me, but I don't entirely count that, because that's how it is for EVERYONE. Okay, not EVERYONE, but a lot of people.
For me, it was Pidgey, I believe, and to this day, I am a sap for Normal-Flying type birds. I don't know why it is I MUST get that Pidgey/Hoothoot/Taillow/Starly/Pidove/etc EVERY time I get a new game, but seeing that first Pidgey was when I realized "Oh, my. This is awesome."

I used to change the channel every time Pokemon came on(because I was convinced it was too kiddy for me, even when I was still very much a kid at that time), but Pikachu was the first one I caught a glimpse of.

Actually, mine was Wailmer. The first time i saw pokemon, was on my cousins GBA, and he was surfing. So technically, it was a wailmer.

For me is was a Pidgey. A lot of people think that Pidgey is annoying (for example I saw this Pokemon Crystal walkthrough just a few days and the narrator (aka the person who made the YouTube account) kept on yelling when he found Pidgey almost all the time. Il even quote him for you " Wild pokemon battle theme plays, a wild Pidgey apeared, PIDGEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I can't remember the exact pokemon, but the first I saw I can remember was: (exact sprite)

I heard of Pikachu first from my cousin singing that Pokemon Pikachu Gigapet thing's theme song.... but the first pokemon I ever saw was Squirtle from one of those small plastic toys which flashed red when you twisted the knob on the bottom of it.

EDIT: Or maybe Charizard. I remember Ho-oh more clearly then Charizard, but I think I saw Charizard first.

Well, since I first watched the Animé, before playing the games, and I can't believe anybody remembers this, the first Pokémon I ever saw was technically Mew. It's the first thing in the titles, a view of Earth, Mewtwo flies past (in it's suit Giovanni crafted for it), and then Mew flies past as well.

First on I saw was a Corsola.
I was scrolling through some channels when is was 5 and saw misty with a Corsola in an old (Orange islands?) Episode.
