"Yes." She looked at him as her eyes drifted open.

Matt was happy to have Sydney by his side. He loved her so much. He stared at her.

Sydney could have melted in this situation. Matt was by her side, and no one was after them. She was sure homeland security would come any moment.

"It is so nice to be alone with you right now." This was the happiest he has been in a LONG time.

"I know." Sydney was extremely happy right now. She and Matt was the only thing that ran through her head.

Matt had thoughts, but he didn't want to rush it. He waited until he knew for sure, that Sydney was good for it.

Sydney lied there looking at him.

Matt and Sydney were staring at each other's eyes. Matt had a big smile on his face. "So..."

"So.." Sydney knew where this was going.

"Oh crap. We made this awkward! Haha. Oh well, I guess we can sleep it off?"

"Sure." Sydney smiled and turned over.

"Sweet Dreams" Matt smiled, and kissed Sydney on the forehead. He fell asleep, and dreamed about the good night. Hopefully, Sydney would not have nightmares tonight.

Steve watched them snuggle. He went into an alley. He held a gun to himself.

Matt woke up and stared at Sydney's beautiful face. "Morning" He smiled.

Steve pulled the trigger on his heart.

Matt heard a nearby gunshot. "Crap!" He looked outside, and saw Steve on the floor, bleeding from his chest. "NO!" He ran down the stairs, and rushed out the door to the alleyway. "Who did this to you?!" His voice was filled of sadness.

"Me..." Steve passed out from the blood loss.

Matt rushed out his phone, and called 911. "911, we have a half dead body. Shot in the heart! Come quick!" He yelled at the phone. The ambulance and the cops came quick.

"No... let me die." Steve passed out again.

"No! You are half the reason why we could win this war! I am not letting you die! YOU HEAR ME?!" Matt cried. The 911 arrived. "YOUR UNDER ARREST SIR!" The cops said to matt. "WAIT! I DIDN'T DO IT! He shot himself, and he is my best friend. We gotta do something!" The ambulance picked him up on the stretcher, and rolled him in the van.

"No don't revive me. I don't belong on this earth." Steve began to die.

"OF COURSE YOU DO!!" Matt cried. The ambulance arrived at the hospital, and began to treat him.

"No I don't." Steve pulled the medical equipment off of him.

"Give me a good reason, and I will leave you alone..." His voice faltered.

"I..." Steve passed out. His body lay motionless.

"k, we aren't leaving you!" They shocked him.

Steve woke up. "You will leave me. You ruined my life."

"Wh- how?" He knew what this was about though. It was Sydney...

"You took Sydney. That was my life." Steve looked at Matt.

"What about Sally? She loves you. I know it." He knew that SOMEONE had to love him. And maybe it WAS sydney, but he couldn't let her go for the world.

"She doesn't. She always shifts away from me. Sydney's my life. I would do anything for her." Steve truly meant it. His life was filled with misery but she brightened it up.

"So would I..." He didn't lie about this. He would do anything for her.

"Then goodbye." Steve pulled the plug on his medical devices.

"No..." He cried.

"Goodbye..." Steve passed out. Nearly dying.

The medics keep working, not listening to Steve. "We won't let you die kid." The doctor said. "Don't go..." Matt said.

Steve almost dies. "I need Sydney. In order to live."

"She will be here. Im going to get her.. She is asleep though." Matt runs to the apartment.

"Good." Steve started coming back to life.

"Alright, she is here." Matt brought Steve, Sydney's sleeping body.

"I won't live unless." Steve points at his lips.

"Really.. Okay, seriously, its not a fricken Cinderella movie." He said getting a bit mad.

"I mean it." Steve points to lips.

"Seriously though, how will this heal you?" he said curious. Matt has never heard such a way to revive. Besides a fricken disney story...

"Well I guess you want me to die." Steve said angrily. He thought Matt was and idiot for not understanding.

"Alright. So you want a kiss from her? Go ahead." He layed her down on a row of seats. "Kiss her, just once." Matt sighed.

"Alright." Steve kissed her. "It's working." Steve came back to full health.

"Good. Savor the taste, I won't let you get anymore." Matt hoped that sydney wouldn't notice the kiss. (brb)

Sydney was still asleep.

Matt stares at Sydney. "You saved him.. It actually worked."

Sydney woke up. "What?"

Steve slapped Matt. "I hate you." Steve ran away.

"Nothing.." his voice faltered. "Look. We're in a hospital..."

Edit: late.

"I hate him. I hate him!" Steve ran to the alleyway.

"Wait..." Matt cried. He felt as if he just lost a friend. His best friend..

"I love her. I hate him!" Steve rocked back and forth.

Sydney got up and went to look for Steve

"I hate him. I love her." Steve rocks more.

"I'm coming too. We gotta make things right." Matt said nervously. He hoped making things right, didn't mean a break up.

"Fine." Sydney continued to look for Steve.

"Steve! Steve! Where are you?!" He searched for him, desperate to find him.

"Steve!" Sydney kept looking for Steve.

"I hate him. I hate him." Steve falls down.

"Seriously bro! Where are you?!" He looked around everywhere.

"I hate him." Steve rolls on the ground.

Matt hears the voice, but ignores the statement. "Steve! There you are! Come on Sydney,he is over here!" He rushes to Steve

"Steve! Come on." Sydney started to get worried

Steve ran away. "No I don't want to see him. I hate him!"

Sydney looked at Matt. "I think you should go."

Steve accidently ran into a overhead bar. He's knocked unconcious.

"Yeah..." Matt walked away, with no other comment.

Steve laid there unconcious.

Matt took off the badge from his jacket. "A general no more..." He said, and threw the badge on the ground, making it shatter.

"Damn." Sydney picked him up and carried him back to the hospital.

Steve begins to wake up. "What... happened. My head hurts."

"You ran into a bar." Sydney kept carrying him.

"It hurts." Steve rubbed his head.

Matt stomped on the remains of the badge, and walked away. He tried not to shed a tear as he walked away. Matt had no idea where his destination was, he just had to go...

"I would expect it to." She was more honest now.

"I might be a little concussed." Steve fell asleep.

Sydney layed him down and sat beside him.

Although he knew there was no such thing as 'the edge of the world', he kept on walking, trying to step off that edge... By now, he was already in a different city.

Steve woke up. "Uhh thanks it feels better. Thanks." Steve sat up. "How are you feeling?"

Matt saw a group of soldiers. He might as well have just given himself up. He left all of his belongings in the apartment. Even his personality... He slowly walked towards them.

"Fine." Sydney stayed to herself. She didn't want to show emotion. She was weak now

Steve thought great she doesn't like me. "Oh that's good."

He gulped. "Hey, you probably recognize my face from wanted posters..."

"I'm tired." Steve tries to get up but falls over.

"Why yes, and i'm the general of the army. Your coming with me Matt." The general said. "Yes sir. That is exactly why I am here... Giving myself up."

"I can't get up. Go on without me." Steve tried to move.

Sydney helped up Steve. Suddenly her phone rang.

"Thanks. Who is it?" Steve asked.

"So.. are you here to join us? Or here for us to execute..." The general said curiously. "Any.." Matt said.

Sydney looked at it. "Zach's cell?" Sydney knew he was dead "Hello?"

"How is that possible?" Steve listens closer.

"Well, boy, we could use a kid like you on our team. You wiped out a lot of our men back in Long island. We will lift all penalties against you if you join." The general said. Matt didn't know what to do... He was confused. Would he turn on his friends?

"Maybe Zach's not dead?" Steve said cautiously.

Matt thought to himself. She specifically told me to get out. So did Steve. There is no more point in trying to fight for them. "Alright, fine. I will do it."

"What did the person say?" Steve asked.

"Sydney, it's your sister, Samantha." Sydney never talked to her sister. "How did you get Zach's cell?" "I got it off his body." "Well what do you want?" "Power. I know you have high standings. Give me some." "Honestly, I don't want it anymore. "WHAT!!??" "I'll give it to you if I meet you face to face." "Okay. Oakland base." Sydney hung up.
