Matt closed his eyes, and held Sydney close. "The thing I said in the hospital, when you couldn't hear me... I said.." He stuttered and was really nervous.
"Oakland huh? Never been there..." He has been to many places before, but not oakland.. "Just a question though.. I have army information.. Thats the whole reason i am wanted. Is there anything i can do with it?"
Matt didn't know what to do. He was messed up. He hadn't even told her what happened in the club, he broke his best friend's heart, and there was almost nothing he could do.
"No problem. Business is strangely slow today, so I don't mind" She smiled. Matt chugs the beer. "May I have more ma'am?" He said playfully. "Sure thing. Its on the house." She makes him a beer.
"Say, whats your name?" He said politely. "Brianna. Yours?" She said. "Oh, thats a nice name. My name is Matthew, but please. Just call me Matt." "Sure thing Matt." Brianna said.
Matt was really drunk, and he stumbled on words when he talked. "So, why did you come here?" Brianna said. "Stress..." Matt said. "Don't ask about it.."
"Well," Brianna came out of the counter, and sat at the seat next to me. "can I help relieve that stress?" She touched Matt's shoulders. "How so?" He smiled.
She grabbed his hand, and dragged him. "Wait, don't you have work to do?" Matt said worrying about guilt. "Oh, please. The place had no business today anyways. C'mon, im taking you to my apartment." Brianna said. "Ummm.. okay..." Matt said.
Sydney lied there waiting. She remembered her and Josh. When they were young if one had a nightmare, the other grab them some bourbon even if they were just twelve.
