Im planning to try and draw a few characters in the adventure time art style that i saw a YouTube video about how to do it. I wanna try to draw myself and and a few other characters i like and see how it turns out, maybe i can do a kakashi too I can try to upload it here when im done with them.

...Meanwhile, for me today is college move-in day. I got my dorm set up this morning and right now is the break in move-in weekend activities. Hype!

I don't move into my dorm until tomorrow I'm excited because me and my friend are sharing it.

Well, summer is practically over. Did anyone do anything exciting?

Not really. I don't suppose "having no life and playing video games" counts?

Not a whole lot of excitement here in my neck of the woods, although they did finish renovating the playground at the elementary school across the street from my house, which means more equipment for my nieces to play on while my family is visiting. :3

I also got some new stuff at the beginning of August, including the PowerBook G4 I had talked about earlier. Things like an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite from my brother (because he had no need for it) and a Yamaha YPG-235 portable grand piano from his girlfriend, which makes my old Yamaha YPT-220 look and feel like a kid's toy.

In addition to essentials like velocity sensitivity and a pitch-bend wheel, the new piano is loaded with lots of neat features, like dual (layered) voices, keyboard zone splitting, a built-in USB MIDI interface, and the ability to load songs as .MID files and auto-accompaniment files in the proprietary .STY file format. Very cool piano.

I'm not particularly sure how I'd even go about phrasing this. I've been inactive for like, what, 4 years? Maybe 5, but who cares. It's been awhile, and I'm only.

I Don't really feel like making an Introduction thread, sense I feel like I can just make a quick post here, and have that be that really, so let me pretty quickly sum up everything that's happened to me while I was gone:

• I've finally gotten into more series than just Pokemon. This doesn't sound like that big of an Achievement, but I find it hard to get into series and really like them. (Only series I've gotten into that's worth mentioning is Tales of honestly, sense I've been in love with it for about 2+ years at the time of writing this.)
• On the mention of Pokemon, I've actually finally gotten into competitive battling. I'm still learning, but I think I'm pretty alright at it! (It's a lot easier than I thought It'd be honestly.)
• I've gotten better at drawing but I've basically dropped doing it seriously. I'm more into writing now honestly, sense I've found it's easier for me and I've always enjoyed doing it.
• Uhh I'm unsure of anything else notable to mention other than I'm 15 and I'll be 16 soon? Which means I Can get A job.

Skyrim Special Edition came out today, and as to be expected it's getting pilloried by whoever writes Steam reviews (it's like 56% positive as I write this). I'm one of the nerds who got it for free by owning original Skyrim, so I guess I'll come up with a verdict once I've played more of it.

(I play on Low settings because my computer's a root vegetable but it still doesn't look half bad that way.)

Oh, it definitely still looks better - even the UIs look cleaner and stuff rendered in the distance doesn't look like it was created out of Play-Doh, plus everything seems more colorful and less gray. Sneaking speed might have been increased a bit too, which would be nice, though I'm not 100% sure. (Also you can't see the triangles composing the terrain in places anymore, which I always thought was rather amusingly silly about the original.)

I've lately been playing Fallout: New Vegas again. It's bizarre seeing recognizable locations in a video game.

I also need to work on a new banner for my profile here as well, plus I'm thinking of getting my gym team going for our gyms if somehow we get it started again.

Me, I'm just wondering if I should probably find something to do here or two. It's like I probably could use some activity myself, though I am not sure what.

Is this a good time/place to ask if anyone else is going to Magfest this year?

Trying to find things to do, things that let you unwind, can be surprisingly hard if you have barely any time at the end of the day and your weekends are crammed.

Now I kind of regret signing up for weekend conversational Japanese classes that is tiring me out quickly lately. I feel kind of spent and ended up having to leave earlier than normal...

Well i've planning on doing stuff to improve my drawings i want to do, but first i need a laptop to get me started. Im not sure if i'll be able to get one tho. But when i do i get one, i need a decent drawing app or something cheap enough to afford. People have suggested GIMP but i'll have to look around.

I just want to draw stuff and upload them on to a PC and improve them u know, like coloring them in to look nice or do what them speed drawings u see on youtube, where they have there art look soo good.

Well... I'm not doing too well personal projects-wise. Had to scrap a game I'm working on.

I guess I now know what my limits are, and now am trying to do something that should be significantly simpler.

...and I guess I've been playing a lot more video games lately, too. Everything is winding down again, and I'm glad - I am finally getting a break.

Maybe I should try drawing things someday.

I have learned that if the bowling alley has a "server-went-down" special where you can do all-you-can-bowl for 2 hours, 15 minutes for only $5, I will do 19 games and feel dead at the end of it.

I somehow managed to have an average of 155, with games ranging from 128 to 203.

To be fair, we go there often enough during the discount hours (nearly 150 times since the beginning of 2014) that a happy mistake like that was bound to occur.

Hard to believe I could change in a lot of things in a few days, huh?

I think I'm also now finding more things to do in my downtime.

I'm more surprised how quickly time has gone by I'm finally going to get my Bachelors Degree by the end of the year.

I went to the Post Office today, and saw tractors at the local Dairy Queen. My former High School have a bring your Tractor to school day once a year. It is unique to say the least.

I'd have gotten back on VR sooner if the Captcha system on the password reset screen hadn't thrown me errors every time I tried resetting, but I've been keeping well, otherwise. I can't wait to show off the tech acquisitions that I've been saving up for you guys for the past year.

We just had a hot week in Las Vegas, hitting the upper end of the 110's and peaking at 122°F (50°C).

Temperature has been up and down all summer here. We're in a bit of a cooler part, but living by the lake, any weather system that comes in just picks up all sorts of humidity and just makes it miserable.

New Jersey was ungodly hot for most of June, but this week seems, uh, a bit less awful. Hope it stays like that for a bit.

Hi! It's been a few years since I was last on the forums. I'm starting to pick up Moon again after a few months and I just thought I'd come back on the forums again. Bit opposite to standard weather here, bucketing down with Rain therefore flooding the roads around me, so that has caused me to play quite a bit more Pokemon again and has promptly kicked the addiction back in, currently playing through some of the older games for fun while opening up Sun & Moon every now and again!

Sup everyone! Been awhile since my last post, been kinda boring lately with pokemon stuff. The chat group me and Matty is in has been kinda deadish so i figured i stop by and see how everyone been. As of late tho, i've been visiting Gaiaonline like everyday to get stuff.

I'm all but officially done with competitive Pokémon :S Since Gen 7 came out there's just too much of it, and I've already wasted "too much" of my life memorizing 300-ish Pokémon, 200-ish moves, 150-ish Abilities, etc., etc., etc. As if that wasn't bad enough it seems like every time I look up there's a completely new meta running around with more fun sets and threats and checks and balances to figure out.

That's rather why I stayed out of competitive battling. The few times I've tried in Black 2 and X, I was rather overwhelmed by the combinations and bizarre moves that Pokémon could learn, and that was even adhering to the pentagon rule of using only things bred in Gen VI and before the 3DS got hacked.

I just don't find too much incentive to even bother playing the game much beyond Pokedex completion these days.

There's just not enough time in life.

At least I've started to draw a lot more in the meantime.

Man i wish Ulta Sumo gives more ways to level up our pokemon, grinding to level 100 for a bunch of mons takes forever, plus it hurts that the Global Link stopped the missions as it takes forever as well to grind FC to use on stuff.

This final college semester has been pretty stressful, I'm taking six classes, working a part-time job in a deli and have to write my Senior Thesis.

So what exactly happened to this place? I'm a newcomer and it seems like everyone just dropped off after ~2010.

It's definitely the case of life getting the best of us. I haven't been around for over two years due to moving around for school and just school in general. The Japanese and French timezones are never idea when most of the people in the chat are coming from North America. But then again, people don't always sleep when they "should." I haven't had time to finish ORAS or Sun yet, so that should go to show how little time I have.

Also the Pokemon scene, despite being a special year this year and last, has been pretty quiet. Has anyone seen the new Pokemon movie? (I have, but in French only.)

Anyway, I managed to get back on after two failed password attempts after being away for two years, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Not sure how active I'll be over the next month, but I'll be going back to Canada for a couple months once I complete this semester, so I'm hoping to be on more then.

This is the strangest thing, but in the last few days I've had the weird urge to start doing competitive Pokémon again. I'm trying to not do that because I already know how much of a massive time sink that can be. So far I've only let myself take troll teams on Battle Spot random matchup . . .

Also USUM is the first game(s) since Black and White 1 that I haven't gotten on the first day of release. Will probably get into that around the Christmas holidays when my Pokémaniac cousin comes to town, though. Hopefully the Recent Happenings thread is still active by the time I do that.

Hey everyone! It's been a minute. I haven't even progressed far into Ultra Moon yet, though I'm Nuzlocking it, so the progression is going to be very slow and methodical. I've already had one death, so I'm pretty afraid. I still got it on release date though, cause I'm still a damn nerd! Though my time and attention has totally moved on to the Switch.
