So, how to make this post of any use to anyone...hm...I've been listening to the Soundtrack of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse lately. Listening to Castlevania music is probably the closest I'll be getting to celebrate Halloween this year. Ok, that's what I got to say, somebody explode in celebration of 11,000 posts, kthxbye
Straight 1s sounds more special than 11,000. But that reminds me that I have to set up a Halloween playlist to listen to all throughout that day, just because I don't celebrate Halloween. Maybe even steal candy from my friends and other little children. I'll even add my favorite song from Castlevania the first; Stalker.

If you guys still remember Shadow, who you used to be in the forums, he had a surgery today. Something to do with a hernia, I believe.

Yeah, degrees in medicine always take the longest times to get. Friend of mine wants to go to school for neurology and he said he'll be in school for 14 years. He also said you can't miss a single question in medical school.

Oh boy, Sandy is coming to New York. ._. The wind already started to pick up and it's starting to drizzle. Long Island is supposed to get the worst of it tonight into tomorrow. It is very possible that I won't have school tomorrow, but I also might lose power. I don't know if I should be happy or worried. >_>

Give her some acorns and talk about Texas, maybe she'll calm down. I already don't have school tomorrow for 1st quarter grading, but hopefully that doesn't last until Tuesday. I have a planned last day half-day and I don't want it to be ruined by make up days! You shouldn't be worried too much, though. Just hope for the best. That's what I'm doing. Even if I do lose power, I've got flashlights and things to work on that don't require electricity.

We're getting the effects of Sandy in Michigan too. It's been cold, windy, and rainy all day today. We're also expected to have rain for the next four days or so. Hopefully nothing bad will happen in that time.

In other news, I'm putting my old DS stylus to good (should read: improper) use by making it keep my circle pad on my 3DS stuck to down while my character is in Gear Station so the Pokémon I have in the day care center gain some experience.
Been going on for almost a day now and said Pokémon has gone from level 78 to 94.

Hurricane Sandy passed by my area already and only left a little bit of overnight rain. Not even an inch of rain, I'm not even a half inch. So, we got lucky that the storm missed us almost entirely. My state still felt the effects of Sandy, but my county only got some drizzle. It's good to live so far inland and away from the coast.

Course not. We get all sorts of generic weather here in Michigan too - the 40 days and 40 nights of rain, the blizzards that would make Antarctica cringe, and can't forget the snowfalls in the middle of April. Of course, "generic weather" changes depending on where you are in the world.

Although I feel sorry for all the people who were hit hard by the hurricane, it was a joke around my area. It was just moderate rain and loud wind. It did more good than bad because it ripped the leaves off the trees, and they won't grow back since it's fall. LESS RAKING, WHOO! My power never even went out, so we did all that preparing for nothing. It was classified as a "super storm" instead, if I recall correctly. The literal worst part was when I was watching The Avengers and the wind got so loud that I couldn't hear Iron Man. ROBERT DOWNEY JR. IS MORE IMPORTANT.
I just noticed today was Halloween as well. I don't really celebrate it... but hey, I might as well do something. So I'll be watching all of the Scream movies since I couldn't decide on any other horror movie, and it IS my favorite.

YES! I'M FINALLY NOT BUSY ENOUGH TO BE KEPT OFF VR! HUZZAH!...Er-hem. Moving on.

Yes, I finally got around to finishing everything important that I needed to get done, so I can finally get some relaxation in and (hopefully!) be on more often. In other news, it's Halloween. I don't really go trick-or-treating anymore (I sort of grew out of it after I started high school) but I did go to school dressed up as the Sexy Sax Man, although I was wearing a shirt, of course. But people got the reference and thought it funny. Yeah, it was a little embarrassing, but I found it enjoyable nonetheless.

I am not sure either; I still need to check. What concerns me is that I have to send all of my documents to the university I am applying to through mail, and the end of November is the last day for submission. I never tried mail before and I don't know if it takes more than month.

What's the distance between the two locations? Bills for me tend to arrive within 2 days, but Singapore's a very small place. Given that we're talking about countries, air mail or bust.

Today is election day in the States, which otherwise means the day that every Canadian who even cares a little bit about politics (such as myself) is holding their breath. From a Canadian's point of view, there is a clear winner. Now, I'm hoping with all of my heart that you guys who are legally able to vote in every way did so, otherwise I'll be really disappointed. The predictions for the elections are pretty horrific, to be honest. I'm terrified. Don't screw it up, guys, vote. Don't care for who, that's your choice, but do it!

They're still not completely gone. But soon, when you pay with cash, it'll be rounded to the nearest 5. Where as Debit and Credit transactions are still the same. At least I'll no longer have to be carrying like 20 pennies from paying in different places.

I can only find one actual good use for pennies. Rolling them down those neato machines you find in the middle of malls where they spin round and round until they fall in a hole~ Love 'em. Other than that they're pretty pathetic and useless. The only coins I actually use are quarters, and if not quarters I usually accept 2 dimes and a nickel (Similar to 2 Pawns = a Queen in Chess.)

At first, I thought an idea like this was crazy. No pennies? Wouldn't that mean we'd have to modify our pricing systems so that everything was valued at something divisible by two or five?
And then I remembered. We have a s***load of pennies in the US.

Today was so great, it actually brought up my mood up quite some. I had a substitute in ALL of my classes, so basically no work to do for the entire day. Period 1- Crushed the PWT, ate donuts, and attempted the Battle Subway. Period 2- Did a word search and made a ton of movies in Pokéstar Studios. Period 3- Made even MORE movies while doing some 30 minute math in a 90 minute period. Period 4- Cave Story DS port and practiced playing Curly's Theme (Running Hell) on the piano. I can actually do most of it a tempo with my right hand. Then we had a party after school and I brought SCOOPS! Best chips EVER~ So yeah, I'm feeling better for today.

Although I wish I could go to Japan or Hong Kong, I am doing much better in my Italian so that I can travel to Italy with my mom and translate all the things for her and help her purchase new handbags.

Speaking of the late topic of trips. I've got two international trips in planning, though I'm not entirely sure when or if they'd happen. One was going to be various area's of Japan, Which I am unsure of anything of that. Another was a trip to Germany and other Eastern European countries. So I'm mostly just going to be saving money. I have a lot of homework to do this weekend, so there really isn't much on my agenda for this weekend aside from that. Though I did go see Wreck-It Ralph 3D yesterday. All I'll say is that it was SO worth it.
At the moment I'm watching Avatar for the second time. The twist? This time in watching it in French! I'm gonna try to watch 30 minutes of French TV each day, and a movie per weekend. :3

I have a lot of homework, too. Read The Metamorphosis and write 3 essays to test your understanding of it. By Tuesday. Whoo! And Wreck-It Ralph was soooooooo worth it in 3D. I'm a bad boy, though, because I bought a 2D ticket and still saw it in 3D~ X3

I think I'm finally going to do this. As an early start to a New Year's Resolution, starting in 2013 I'm officially ending my hatred towards Square Enix (The reason I hated them I can't even remember myself) and I'm going to start by playing some of their older games. I've realized that hate isn't good, because it just limits what you allow yourself to do and drains the fun out of your life, and I don't like that.

I have a ton of homework to do as well. On top of that, I was scheduled 8-hour shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday this weekend. I also have my final wave of midterms this week... ugh!

I just got back from the movie theater and I saw Sky Fal I thought it was really amazing, oddly one of the characters reminded me of Ningamer even though we've never actually met in person, must be the British thing.

Okay, I love Japanese class dearly, but I'm finding it quite a chore to memorize 70+ new words and making sure I understand all of the grammatical structures for tomorrow. It's a nightmare... Somebody study for me, okay? Thanks. The amount of flash cards I have is ridiculous, but it is partly my fault for not keeping up with everything...

It's Veteran's Day - the campus is closed. Yet I end up waking up at 6AM and heading to campus because one of our client's at work decided to host Day 1 of 3 of their event today... I haven't slept in once this whole three day weekend! Lol

Give me those cards. I'll study every other word.
Speaking of languages. I need to really get my act together on learning a language.

Learning a new language could probably be the hardest thing to do. Ever. The only languages I know fluently are Arabic and English. I used to know a bit of French and Persian, but the lack of using these two made me forget them... :\

There's a guy who works for the English government and he knows 32 different languages! I aspire to be like him! I'm going to be taking on German and maybe Italian soon. I have a long list of languages I'd like to learn eventually! I'm going to continue to work on my French, Spanish and Japanese though. If I don't become a lawyer, I'm going to become a diplomat for the United Nations. That's my goal!

I was really hoping to take Japanese 2 this year, but not enough people signed up for it apparently. From what my Japanese teacher said last year, six people signed up for it. So six is not enough for a language class, but seven is enough for a Java programming class?

We have 7 or 8 people in my Italian 3 class, and none of us can really switch out or we won't have enough people in the class. Not enough people signed up for AP Chemistry, either, so I'm still angry about that. :I

Foreign languages are like kryptonite to me. Sure, I earned enough spanish credits to graduate high school, but I have forgotten lots of what I learned since then. I'll be happy if I never have to learn a new language for the rest of my life...although I know that likely won't be the case.

I'm starting to think that I should drop AP Spanish. My teacher is starting to expect too much out of us, and it doesn't help that she doesn't believe in extra credit. I'm perfectly fine with writing in a foreign language, but I can't speak it. If I try to carry on a conversation in Spanish, I either trip over my own words or take big pauses to think about what say before actually saying it.

I took honors Italian up to AP when I was in high school. Like Reuniclus, I was perfectly fine with writing in the foreign language, but was completely hopeless when it came to speaking it. I could barely hold a simple conversation in Italian. xD

Yeah, that's the thing: speaking and writing a language are like two different animals. I can write Japanese a lot better than I can speak it. Just because you can write it also doesn't necessarily mean you know it means. And vice-versa.

I'm beginning to like Italian so much that I want to become fluent in it. I can already write it well, speaking it is pretty simple (My teacher, who is Italian, says I have a sexy voice), and my only real problem is with the listening. Other than that, it's a fun and easy A.

I can speak French to about the same degree as I can read it and write it (though maybe a little better at speaking), and I'm really good at speaking Spanish and reading/writing it. As for Japanese, I can read it with ease, but sometimes speaking it is a little less than impressive. Though I still do fairly well at it!

To be honest, I do think 7 is the cut-off. I know that one year there was a Spanish class with 7 people at my school, so it's very possible. That honestly sucks though... I don't know what I'd do with myself if I couldn't take Japanese. I love it so much. It'll be alright Quad, it'll be just fine.

Today is very good day my friends. A few weeks ago I found my cousin, whom when she was 4 years old was put into foster care, on facebook. It was very hard to do, as her name was changed. I just heard back from her. She doesn't remember me, but she has a picture of me on her bulletin board. I'm happy, even though as a child I greatly disliked her, but then again, who did like kids younger than they?

So today my bus decided to not show up, at all, which meant I was standing outside in ~5-degree (Celsius) weather for about half an hour. One of the kids was talking with their mother, who I guess had connections to people at the bus garage, so they finally sent out a bus to pick us up at like 7:15. Since I live out in the country, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the high school, and by the time I was there I was about 10 minutes late for class. They let us in without the need for passes though since it was technically the school's fault we were late and not ours.

Also, I finished reading Fight Club today. Dat ending. Did not see it coming. Now I'm gonna go watch the movie to see how they handle the storyline.

Hey, I am pretty confident that he will become an E4 member. Besides, he's wiped the floor with me every single time we've battled. (Speaking of which, I NEED A REMATCH. >:I) I hope he can make it to the top.

...You know what, Vel? I just noticed, I never knew Fight Club was an actual book. I must go out and look for that so that I may enjoy that.

Remember - that was before you became a gym leader. The team you used then is more than likely inferior compared to the team you use right now.

There's only one thing you can do if they are underleveled.
Level them up! Then take on the League.
Speaking of which. I've gotta issue my challenge to the first gym.

Also, soaked in the rain is fun. (unless it comes from an enemy Politoed.)

I've noticed that my musical tastes are very similar to my parents, aside from the recent stuff that I've been trying out on. Guess that's why I'm OK with most kinds of music but metal and songs with too much explicit content.
