This thread is for posting your adventures in Pokémon X and Y, akin to the previous Recent Happenings threads for Pokémon Black 2/White 2 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
It should be obvious that this thread will contain spoilers, but I would like to request that anyone speeding through the game should check the users posting previously before posting any late-game or post-game material. If there isn't anyone yet caught up to your portion of the game, please wrap those parts of your text with [SPOILER] tags.
Optionally, you may also create a thread on the X/Y board to put your own adventures in a blog format.
Also, please use attachments for images and video clips. To do so, when making a new post on the advanced view, click Manage Attachments below the text box. Upload the necessary files using that. You can attach more than three files, but that's the most you can upload at once. 1 – ReuniclusOk, so I started up! It's great!
I was rudely awoken by a Fletchling! I met my new neighbours and all that jazz, we went to the next town and was nicknamed "Monseiur R". I then completely destroyed Shauna in a battle. Dat Chespin has got nothing on me!
I then went to the forest, met Youngster Joey (top percentage Scatterbug) and arrived at the next town. Then I proceeded to destroy Viola. Her Vivillon was tougher than anticipated. I then went up the road and went to Lumiose City, and got my Kanto starter from the professor!
Later in the game, I found my first ever shiny, a Croagunk! It joined the team along with a Honedge and a Drifloon.
I'll stop posting now, but the gap inbetween first and second gym is huge!
1 – EaglesWell I got my game.
Agh why do they need to show me how to catch a pokemon right after I just caught one STILL.
1 – SpikyEaredPichu96Got my copy yesterday.
1 – Eagles
2 – Reuniclus, EaglesI got my game!
(I actually got it quite a bit ago, but I've been too focused playing it)
I noticed that the Nicknames they gives you are a lot like the ones in Animal Crossing; one of the ones that they suggested for me was "Lady E". I tried suggesting Spike E, but unfortunately they wouldn't take it.
But aside from that, I beat the gym and have been working my way through the Routes.
On my way towards the second gym. Been trading with a few buddies, and luckily already got myself an Eevee. ![]()

1 – SpikyEaredPichu96Started the game! Whoo!
...I haven't done much beyond that except get to Route 2.
Oh well, I started on Y version first and chose Froakie! Which I cleverly named Froaky! I named the character after my real name so I won't put that here (;D) but my nickname is Turty, of course. I've decided that the theme for this run will be "Froaky Dominates the World!"
Froaky- Level 6
Slaves: 0
Got my copy today and made it to a play where snorlax was sleeping (caught it too). Then i found a photo guy Got a picture taken, then i posted it to facebook to show the game off). The game is pretty boss, i also got a honeedge in the same area ![]()
You guys should add me to your 3ds's so we can do stuff.
Well like everyone else I got the game (X) this morning.
First my thoughts on the game itself: Wow, just wow. Finally a main 3D Pokémon game. It seems like a different world compared to all the 2D sprite adventures I've done forever. It reminds me a lot of Colosseum and Stadium (especially the battles). I like the little details that were added, like bending down to talk to little kids. I also like how the ability to customize your trainer was finally added, now everyone doesn't look like Generic Trainer #3. Also seems interesting how the group of traveling companions grows larger each game (first a single rival, then 2 friends, and now a group of 4 friends). Oh, and getting an EXP share near the beginning of the game that levels all Pokémon evenly is both cheating and helpful (I'm one of those people where my starter Pokemon is always at least 10-15 levels ahead of everyone else). The only thing I found so far that I didn't like is how hard it is to control in the more free areas such as Lumiose City.
So with that, here's where I'm at today:
Currently on the final stretch of Route 8 before heading into Cyllage City for the 2nd gym.
Time played: 8:20
Pokedex: 78
Pokeyman team:
*Mozilla (Braixen) - lvl 27

*Charla (Charmeleon) - lvl 23
*Phoenix Jr (Fletchinder) - lvl 23
*Sanchez (Skiddo) - lvl 21
*Rex (Tyrunt) - lvl 20
Man, my Pokemon team has never been this closely-leveled
1 – SpikyEaredPichu96So I Absolutely love the huuuuuge gap between the 1st and 2nd Gyms. So During that time I got a Pancham, a Honedge, and an Absol and my super duper Squirtle. So I was busy grinding for hours and Now i'm making my Trek through the Glittering Cave.
-My Team-
Big Boss (Pancham) - Lvl 23
Combusken - Lvl 26

I passed through Camphrier Town and just started on Route 6. I've got to say that I'm definitely going to use the berry farm like crazy. I've been mostly playing slowly and talking to everyone in the towns. Poking that Snorlax will be fun.
Braixen (Firefox) - Lv. 23 (67 / 42 / 39 / 55 / 42 / 44)
Pikachu (Spamachu) - Lv. 17
Wartortle - Lv. 16
Zigzagoon (Cosinegoon) - Lv. 14
Furfrou (Perdita) - Lv. 9
Pidgeotto (Beegie) - Lv. 18
1 – JDxImpetusYou're not supposed to use Zigzagoon to catch Honedge (a Ghost/Steel type), are you?
I started with Odor Sleuth and made it flinch three times in a row with Headbutt. ![]()
1 – SpikyEaredPichu96Pancham Evolved into Pangoro...Now it's rightfully the Big Boss. And yay it's time for me to rightfully curb stomp the 3rd Gym Honedge is motivated
and Braixen has Psyshock..I'm Seeeriously about to have fun here Since Aerial Ace utterly destroys everything. And I take care of the Gym Leader...with some problems Hawlucha is powerful...So i'm going to do A lot of Super Training, it's a fun and helpful distraction

1 – SpikyEaredPichu96Just a very quick update of my going against the 4th Gym Leader. Mega Blaziken and Aerial Ace for the win..and Honedge evolved into Doublade now it's Double Motivated
Oh yeah I have the ever so Graceful Delphox and Blaziken now. Time to move on. Oh I Almost forgot to say...Sycamore's theme is AMAZING.

Blaziken - Lvl 39: Bulk Up/Power-Up Punch/Hone Claws/Blaze Kick
Tch, didn't even realize I could get a full starter set. Well, now I have 3 main Pokémon and I'm out to find the Bulbasaur.
So it took me a long time to find a Pikachu in the Santalune Forest. But I finally got one and named her Red in honor of Pokémon: The Origin. I love traveling in a group, it reminds me of the first partner up I experienced in the Eterna Forest... and the chubby dude is adorable~
Santalune City itself is wow. In fact, I think every place is going to be wow to me because it's in 3D! And the skates, oh they take my breath away~ I was starting to get worried that the 3D graphics would be wasted by restricting to grid movement, but they saved it! The Pokémon Center looks very deluxe now, but the Boutique... I need cash. (Why is Victory Road right next to the first gym? That's odd...)
Pokémon Gym 1 was a breeze~ Although it would've been nice if I was allowed to LEAVE so I could HEAL. Dude didn't even give me a Fresh Water :U Whatever, I still beat Viola with little stress. And she's a photographer. I like that.
Route 4 is a spectacular garden. The inner grass type is so pleased by its beauty... I could skate around it all day. And I met my first Fairy type there! I have to start using it and fighting it so I know what its type matchup is like!
SWEET JESUS LUMIOSE CITY. IT'S GRANDE. S-so... I'm guessing this is the gimmicky Castelia City of Gen VI, due to its perfect camera angle for skating and for a general 3D environment. ...I love it. I've been skating around for an hour for no reason~
And that's where I stopped. Time check!

Bring a Grass (or Water) type and a Fairy type. There will also be a troublesome Relicanth near the beginning.

Just got done at frost cavern yesterday. And my team is almost in lv50's (thanks to exp.share) im about to hit the 7th gym. Oh and does anyone know how to get into the clothing store that kicks u out for not be stylish enough? Pokedex is i think 100+ (at least when i save it says over 100)
Not posted so I'll just post what I've got so far. I just caught Snorlax on Route 7!
But I just found out DUNSPARRRRCE is in earlier routes so I'm currently back-tracking to find myself a Dunsparce---- AND AS I TYPE THIS I FOUND A DUNSPARCE~ <33333

2 – Reuniclus, SpikyEaredPichu96Well I Did A LOT...After beating the 4th Gym I dealt with the Ever so fashionable Team Flare at the Power plant and beat them to their own awesome theme. Went to the 5th Gym with by far one of my most favorite gimmicks...QUIZ TIME!..and I mean that I like poke-trivia. And I actually had a Hard time dealing with the Gym leader there..I've never been so afraid of an Emolga before...but yeah I won. And I CAUGHT GOOMY...It's So cute VERY CUTE. And I go deal with the Fairy Gym..which means half of my team was utterly Useless At least my Delphox Dealt with it easily. Did I forget to mention Sylveon is a TANK!. Then Went to The Frost Cavern and Dealt with Team Flare AGAIN and Beat them Easily AGAIN. Ooooh Riding a Mamoswine :3...So I rode the Mamoswine to The next City and Easily beat my Rival and Beat the Psychic Gym with my Favorite Gimmick by far. and Doublade w/ +6 Attack did More than enough..oh Look it Evolved and Now I have Aeigislash and my team is Complete

Last update for today. Annnnnd.....Spoilers but first
THIS GAMES SOUNDTRACK IS AMAZING
HOLY EXPOSITION DUMP BATMAN. Jeez like That was a LOT of info I just saw concerning the Story. and Seeing Yveltal just Emerge and the fact that he drains life as it dies to form a cocoon stuff like that. The Story about a Weapon Ending THOUSANDS of Lives just out of sheer anger. Lysandre's Stubbornness to the entire thing that may or may not have killed him. like REALLY. THIS IS GOOD STORY TELLING. This may be on Par with Black and White's Story in My opinion. So I "Accidentally" Activate the weapon, and this crystal thing like...WOW Looking Beautiful in 3D. There may be something off about this dude that doesn't look like he's from Kalos...just sayin
. Well After that Major Story unveiling I guess it's Time I move on with the Game. 8th Gym here I come Got my copy of Pokemon Y today!
Chose Chespin and Squirtle for my starters.
Got my event Torchic.
A lot of blah blah stuff happened, most recent thing was I caught Snorlax and named it Rick Ross.
Team as of right now:
#TeamChespin - Quadillin
SQUAD - Wartortle
Combusken - Combusken
Rick Ross - Snorlax
Twitter - Fletchinder
Doge - Furfrou
2 – JDxImpetus, ReuniclusWent to 4th gym, got easy badge (oh grass types, if only I had a fire Pokemon...O WAIT I GOT TWO). Also got to see Mega Charizard X in action, so awesome.
That's pretty much it, progress is going to be really slow during the week because of real life.
STATUS REPORT:
Badges: 4
Time Played: 14:50
Pokedex: 25/76 and 15/53
Pokeyman team:
1 – SpikyEaredPichu96Three gym leaders down! No real trouble due to Delphox providing type advantages. I played with Amie a lot and realized how annoying the facial recognition is. It absolutely refuses to acknowledge my mouth opening. I also received a free Lucario with Lucarionite, but I haven't yet decided if I'm going to use it. Also, I swear I assigned Tyrunt its name without seeing Yoshi's post.
Delphox (Firefox) - Lv. 43 @ Amulet Coin

2 – SpikyEaredPichu96, PureAuroraeI beat the seven gym two days ago and I've been hunting for a shiny Trevenant ever since. Woops, completely forgot to update 0_0
1 – PureAuroraeGot my copy of X yesterday, but didn't get much time to play it [thanks work for calling me in].
I ended up choosing Fennekin. I got through Route 1 [after catching a few mons] and the first forest. Ended up using the Super Trainer quite a bit to fully train Fennekin to avoid any EV problems down the road. I put all his training into SP. ATK and SPD. Currently at the entrance of Route 3, having to stop once again thanks to work.
2 – JDxImpetus, SpikyEaredPichu96Saved In in the champions room! When i start i'll kick his/hers butt. Oh and for Yveltal i think i got 31ivs in 3 stats? I googled around and smogon had a very close stuff on its base stats (of what they got) so i soft rested a few times (about 10-15) and got the same stats about 8 different times with a hasty nature.
I Beat the 8th Gym, Sky Uppercut FTW, and got through Victory Road whilst beating my Rival...again and I finally got to the Pokemon League....it's Gigantic
So I waltz in and See the 1st Member...and She's a Fire type User...cue Blastoise...which actually fainted...thank god I had Pangoro to do something..
Next Is the Steel Type Member....Ohhhhhh thank god I have two fire types
....And he's in a Suit of Armour...seems legit...Delphox and Blaziken stole the show.
And Ugh....the Water Type Member...I have 0 coverage against it..But Yveltal's Oblivion Wing is RIDICULOUSLY Powerful...until I saw Gyarados Dragon Dance....Twice..luckily Dark Pulse saved me.
And Now for the Dragon Type..*le trollface* Blastoise has Ice Beam So this is gonna be EASY. Step 1: Send Out Blastoise Step 2: Mega Evolve, Step 3: Ice Beam, Step 4: Repeat Step 3 against EVERYTHING
And Now for the Champion. And as I'm typing this I have ZERO Idea what that person uses. So I'll say who the Champ is sooooo.....
It's Diantha and She has a Mega Gardevoir....
Well im in post-game now, now what to do next? i got the pokeradar but i cant find anybody new with it. Plus the ending was the best yet.
1 – JDxImpetusFourth gym was very wimpy. Any good fire type can scorch it without troubles. Oh, and Linoone picked up a Moon Stone after the battle with the gym leader.

Slow and steady Y, slow and steady.
Sometimes I wish we've got more Inversion Battles. I got into one after the seventh gym, and...
Boy, it turns things upside-down! Type matchups are inverted. Take the type triangle, for example: usually it's Grass > Water > Fire > Grass. Now imagine it going the other way around. That's an Inversion Battle.
I got around to the Richissime Hotel in Lumiose City. What the heck is up with the people who are staying here?
9 – Reuniclus, GrassPokemonFTW, JDxImpetus, Yoshi648, Twiggy, PureAurorae, SpikyEaredPichu96, Shade, RotomGuyI can't drive 55, for I can only do 32.
Well I beat the Champion today, and it felt pretty good to do it. I would put it on the thread I made for the run, but I was a giant derp and decided to play straight through from before the second gym to the E4, and I have no idea how to bundle that into one update, so, yeah...
Side note: It felt sooo right ending the Champion fight with a Hydro Cannon from my Blastoise. There's just, so much power with that move, and it works so well as a finishing move ;P

(Yeah, my levels were REALLY close for some reason and I have no idea why)
I noticed latly in the hotels around the game, people keep teasing/talking about the hoenn region. 4 different times i seen text by the people about it. No other region is talked about so much in the game but this one. One guy in lumios city's hotel says something about the 40th anniversary of ruby, and the 45th anniversary of sapphire.
1 – SpikyEaredPichu96I have nothing to say to this. Just happened while Cat and I were talking after we did some trades.
This happened in the first forest in the game, pretty well just started off. Yes I have one on my team and yes he will now be replaced with this guy.
5 – Cat333Pokémon, Reuniclus, PureAurorae, Cyrus, TwiggySO!....
I was just derping around in the Friend Safari and Lookie here
A Shiny Lampent...
Which is ADAMANT NATURE -_-
6 – PureAurorae, Cat333Pokémon, GreenMan, SpikyEaredPichu96, Reuniclus, TwiggySeven gyms down! Yeah, I am taking it quite slowly. I keep getting distracted by various mechanics in the game, and I like exploring areas thoroughly before moving forward. All those Rock Smash and Waterfall areas don't help with that, though. Also, the Lost Hotel is kind of creepy. Judging by the levels below, I'd say it should be easy to guess who's out most frequently, but that's not really the case.
Linoone (Cosinegoon) - Lv. 61 @ Amulet Coin

2 – Cat333Pokémon, SpikyEaredPichu96Seriously, not a single post in over 24 hours? You guys bored of the game already?
Man, had a pretty busy day today:
2 – JDxImpetus, Cat333PokémonNice to see they over loaded the game with internet memes again.
Apparently if you can't pay taxi fair the drivers will challenge to a battle.
After a full week I finally have the full day free to play the game and there's now nothing left for me to do until I can transfer my pokemon. :/
Well it's not like I use this thread, I was specifically waiting for X, but...
Since the third gym I have expanded my team to include all the starters, the free Lucario, and even a Flying type so I can get places. Everything has been trained to the max through Super Training and is very happy because I love Pokemon-Amie.
Got my 7th badge. Now there's only one left since I've been playing this game all weekend. Now it's time to take on Team Flare at their base, who have strangely become a little less goofy... but no, they're still too silly to take seriously.
Also I just realized that Serena is supposed to be your rival. Oops.

1 – Cat333PokémonWell I haven't even said what I've done... Oh well. Better start now...
I just tackled the 8th Gym today after spending yesterday finishing up with whatever Team Flare wanted.
Made it probably halfway through Victory Road before I stopped playing for my Saturday. And I can't stop petting my team...
I also feel like I may be a bit over leveled, but I'm not sure what to expect of the Elite Four. My team is fairly unbalanced right now, but I'm too far in to start training one of these other Pokemon I want to.
Well might as well finish while I'm at it.

Hm, that was actually quite easy.
All four Elite Four members were weak to one of my Pokémon (each Delphox, Heliolisk, Sylveon, and Tyrantrum), and one of the remainders (Linoone) worked out great against the Champion thanks to Gourgeist granting STAB with Trick-or-Treat.Champion detailsHer Mega Gardevoir never knew what hit her.

I started Y today. I picked the girl trainer and named her Naomi. I picked Fennekin, and named it Kitsune. I derped around in the woods for awhile and headed to the gym. I won against Viola and went on to the next town, where I stopped for now.
Fennekin (Kitsune) @ 15
Also has anyone bred Noibats? I'd like to use one throughout the whole game.
6 – Cat333Pokémon, Fubab_107, PureAurorae, Twiggy, RotomGuy, Luxray13579I FOUND A SHINY RELICANTH!
Stats aren't that great (Quiet, 10/4/1/22/11/20), but I don't care because it'll just be a trophy~
2 – Twiggy, Reuniclus
Pretty much, the method I used was chain fishing. Obtain a Pokémon with Suction Cups and go out on the water. Find a tight cove and fish there. You should be able to keep up a practically infinite chain of Pokémon. You don't have to defeat the non-shinies, either; you can just run. The chain is reset if you go indoors or fail to reel in a Pokémon when casting.|
Maybe.

As we all know from the PokéRadar, chaining + special = higher shiny odds. |
I got a Shinx on Wonder Trade and
OMG it is sssssssssssooooooooooooo cute in in Pokeame.
3 – Twiggy, SpikyEaredPichu96, ShadeWell, I did it. I beat the champion. I was actually a little bit surprised at who it was, which is good. I think the funniest part was when we both sent out the same first Pokemon X3 I felt a mini-bond.
Then the credits... those were EXTRA weird. But I liked them. This region certainly enforces its inspiration more than others.

Now that everything has been saved it's time to start on that postgame! Like, what's a Friend Safari anyway?
Just went and collected all the post-game Mega Stones that I could find by 8:30 PM with the help of a guide.
I'm actually glad that I bothered to find a guide in the first place. It's very hard to think about where you can get these stones in the first place... and the window is relatively small...

OH MY GOD LYSANDRE I LOVE YOU AND YOUR MUSIC IS GOOD. FINALLY good music... FINALLY....
I've mostly been working on various post-game things such as breeding, shiny hunting, and racking up money. I also have been going around to various places to collect the post-game legends.
Oh look, a Zygarde. Quite a pushover, though. It went into a Dusk Ball on the fifth turn. 28/4/31/9/31/31, Quirky. Eh, not like I'm going to use it. It's just going to hide out in the PC for the time being.
Time for another post-game legend!
Mewtwo's mine! 31/31/31/23/23/29, Modest, Pressure. Now THAT's an excellent Mewtwo, and it's almost perfect.
2 – SpikyEaredPichu96, TwiggyLast night, I finally managed to tear through the Battle Maison without too much trouble (almost lost at 18, though). I opted to do triple battles with Drought Ninetales on the left, Delphox in the middle, and Zoroark (appearing as Espeon) on the right. Yes, it was a triple-fox team.
It took forever, though, as each person had six Pokémon each.
From what I've seen the only way to get more than 1 Leftovers in the game is to have a Pokémon with the Pickup ability at a really high level.
Or an extremely generous friend/another copy of the game.
1 – AlakazamasterI find the Battle Maison to be ridiculously easy to me. Whether I'm using the overpowered Speed Boost Mega Blaziken or my new Cross Generation team I seem to plow right through with little casualties. The only thing I hate is choosing which ones get to battle, I trained them all because I LOVE them all. Maybe I'll try triple battles just for that reason.
I also got in my first real battle with the team. It was amazing how it all came together. A few things needed to be changed, unfortunately, but it was a great win.
After beating X and Y, I've recently been battling people at my school. Fortunately, they're around my skill level (And not crazy IV breeders like SOME people) and I'm able to wipe the floor with almost everyone except for one guy who we always alternate between wins and losses.
Team:
Ryu(Lucario), Scuro(Umbreon), Aegislash, Gloopy(Goodra),Venusaur, and Sylveon. Too lazy to remember levels. No idea about IVs but I EV trained them optimal to their movesets.
