Although the English version of these awesome games aren't released yet, I believe that some people got the Japanese versions and are interested to post what they are doing with their games. Personally, I am waiting for the English release, so expect me to post during that time, but currently, all the ones who are having these games, post what you are doing!

I'm currently Soft-Resetting for a shiny Suicune (Is it possible?)
I've been going for about a week now.
Afterwards I'm catching me a Zapdos, then the other two legendary birds, then Mewtwo, then Latias, and then I'll take a look in Safari Zone customising.

I think I saw Serebii once when he said that the legendary beasts' stats, natures, etc. are all adjusted when they run away from the Burnt Tower. I may be wrong though, you need to get sure. Also, I will make now a thread where users of these games can post any question, so please if you have any question, post it there.

I haven't been playing much lately. In fact, I've used the PokéWalker significantly more lately. The only things I really do are the bug catching contests and getting Lapras. I still haven't yet bothered to get all of the weekday sisters' items yet.

I blame the fact that I played forty hours straight on the weekend after I got it. Darn stream.

I am currently in National Park on my way to the 4th gym in Ecruteak City. The timer shows I have played for 5:43. As for my Pokéwalker, I traded over my Charizard from Diamond on to it. Since I have to go to school today (and I am obviously bringing it with me), it shall be racking up lots of mileage.

Very smart idea... Just throw your PokeWalker in your backpack before school, and you'll get lots of levels.

Although, I honestly haven't experimented with the PokeWalker yet.

HeartGold: NO LET'S PLAY SPOILERS!!!!

SoulSilver: My Togepi hatched outside of Goldenrod, then I deposited it into the PC to make room for a Fire Type. I got a Bicycle, equipped it to Y, then went into the Name Rater's tent, and I saved inside Whitney's Gym.

Team:

Bayleef/Basil
Pidgey/Eagle Eye
Mareep/Frictioso
Onix/Rocky (this is from the trade in Violet City)
Slowpoke/Minamimoto

On a side note, where and when is the earliest I can catch a Fire Type in general?

EDIT: scratch that, currently mulling in the story line because I can't get a water stone until whenever they decide to give me one. And it ain't today. Today is sun stone.

EDIT2: currently getting a water stone and fire stone in plat. I'm not gonna wait the possible 2 weeks it could take.

I caught several Pokémon, and battled some trainers along route 31, then I got to Violet City. I paused in the PokéCenter there, and I'll resume my journey tomorrow.

I barely beat Bugsy, if I didn't have a level 8 Sandshrew in my party, when originally I was going to put him in the PC, I would have lost, dearly. Wasn't expecting U-Turn, and I watched as the move fainted Pokemon, after Pokemon, after Pokemon once I defeated Metapod and Kakuna. I was lucky to get a Thunder Wave in there from my Flaffy. @__@;

Anyway, I'm now at Golderod City, and I saved. Going to take a small break from the game before I decide to go further.

Okay, I took off today by training my Pokémon a little. Then, I obtained a Hard Stone and HM06 Rock Smash. My next destination was Sprout Tower. I smoked every Sage there with my Totodile, and reached up to the Leader Eli. Needless to say, I was able to defeat him and obtain TM Flash as a result.

After that I headed to Falkner to obtain my first badge. I had no trouble defeating everything in the gym except for his Pidgeotto. It was a great annoyance for me, as it kept on using Roost in succession, maximizing its HP. It took me about 8 minutes to get rid of it, although I had a level 15 Totodile. In spite of all that, I enjoyed facing a difficulty early in the game. I received the Zephyr badge, along with TM Roost, when I defeated Falkner.

The last thing I did was trading my actual SS team from my Platinum game. Since they were a bit weak, I decided to level them up and make them happier, so I already sent one of the members of my team to the PokéWalker. I will work on the other 5 tomorrow.

You have to go to Blackthorn and get your 8th badge.

Then Elm will tell you to go to his place after you go through the Dragon's Den.

He then will give you the Master Ball, and tell you to visit the Kimono Girls of Ecruteak City.

After you beat the Kimono Girls (They have Eeveelutions, I think Level 38 ), they give you the Clear Bell. Then, you can go up the tower and get your Ho-Oh.

Good luck.

I'm currently in Ecruteak's Pokemon Center, chillin' with my digital family. I beat Whitney last night, her Milktank wasn't difficult, just it's Milk Drinking got very annoying, very fast. It was like Faulkner and his Roost obsession. I also kind of got lost in her gym, all the different shapes and corridors confused me, but I eventually got through it all. After I beat her, I noticed my DS thought it was Tuesday, so I fixed it. Also tried the Pokeathlon for the first time, and had lots of fun. They're much more fun than the Fashion Contests, imo. Best I got was third place though, in the Speed competitions.

Then this morning I buffed my Pokemon a bit more to get ready for Morty, and did all the Tower stuff. Buffed my Pokemon a little more again (I really wanted to be prepared to take on his Gengar, since I know it's really fast.) After I felt everything was fine, I took his gym challenge. It took me two tries to beat Morty. @__@; His Gengar was a lot faster then I first anticipated. The second time, I paralyzed it with Flaffy's Thunder Wave, and pretty much Psybeam'd it to death with Ledian. Why I didn't do that the first time...I don't know. lol

Continuing from yesterday's work, I have transferred 2 of my team's members to the PokéWalker, where they leveled up and became happier. I transferred them back, along with other couple of Pokémon and items.

After that, I proceeded to Violet City's PokéMart to get the Egg from Professor Elm's assistant. I hatched it and got a level 1, Adamant, Hustle Togepi with Extrasensory. I put it in the box, then proceeded to level up my team a little bit in route 32 (I think).

Lastly, I taught my Scizor Rock Smash, and caught a Geodude in the Ruins of Alph when I smashed a rock there. I'll start working on the Unowns either today in the evening, or tomorrow, then I'll head to Azalea City.

I woke up this morning, and immediately started playing Pokemon. I'm officially feeling like a nerd again. Not that I wasn't already, but it's just the notion of waking up and immediately playing a game that really sets the reality. Regardless, I embarked on my journey to Olivine City, and had fun with the "new" lighthouse. I really enjoyed falling out of the window. XD; Anyway, I did the requirements, and had lots of fun.

I don't know why, but whenever I face a gym leader in this game (other then Whitney) he/she tends to faint all but one of my Pokemon when I went through the entire gym with relative ease. I think I'm just making all the wrong decisions when I face the gym leaders, but it does make things very exciting. Also, Chuck's gym is awesome, I really loved how they redesigned it.

Jasmine was also pretty easy, with the absence of a fire type on my squad, I decided to just let my (then) Swinub to do all the work, Earthquaking left and right until I got my sixth gym badge. Steelix's new sprite is awesome, they fixed the one thing that bugged me about for the last few games, its head. Finally Steelix is facing you instead of angrily looking at its health bar as a simple Surf takes away all its HP.

OH! Before Jasmine, I did the new Safari Zone, and I have to say, I absolutely love the Safari Zone in this game. I've never liked the Safari Zone portions of the game before, but this games' is just really really cool. Different zones are styled differently to give you the idea of what Pokemon appear there, and for the first time, I actually ran out of Safari Balls. XD; For playing this series for as long as I have it's just funny to me. The music is fun to, as well as the actual path to even get the Safari Zone.

Lance's Dragonite looks great, and as did Red Gyarados' overworld sprite. After I helped Lance get rid of the Rocket's terrible radio signal, I then went back to Slowpoke Well to get my King's Rock for Poliwhirl, and now I'm back in Mahogany Town, in their Pokemon Center, ready to take on Pryce tomorrow.

I really want my Politoed to still be in a Lure Ball, because the colors match. 8D; Otherwise, I would just trade with myself.

I started the game last Thursday as I was busy due to the Business Fair we had last week. So I had to keep it in the cupboard for days!

Day 1

- I read the booklet and admired the game for an hour.
- After talking to Prof. Oak, I registered my name: Spirit.
- After talking with my mum, I chose Chikorita as my starter as I wanted a strong rival, even if I am not going to use any of the starters. If you want to check my team, check my signature.
- I reached Cherrygrove, took the Running Shoes, and went to Mr. Pokémon.
- During my journey back home, I battled my rival, whom I named Blade.
- I then took the Pokéballs from the Big Head and caught some Pokémon.
- I also tried the PokéWalker.
- I took some Apricons.

Team: Chikorita, lv. 10

Day 2

- I caught some Pokémon, got some Apricons and levelled up Chikorita to lv. 13
- I stayed in Cherrygrove City.

Today, I leveled up my team further in the different routes around Violet City. Then, I went to the Ruins of Alph, where I unlocked the first secret chamber, which contains 4 different items, and caught some Unowns.

After that, I went to the Union Cave, defeated all the trainers there, got to route 33, then finally to Azalea City. At this point, I ventured into Slowpoke's Well, where I defeated the Rocket Executive Proton and his grunts. Then, I went to the PokéCentre, and got a Pikachu-Coloured Pichu (PCP) from my Platinum game.Thereafter, I went to Ilex Forest, where a person (forgot his name) asked me to catch him 2 Farfetch'ds. Needless to say, I successfully did that, so I obtained HM01 Cut.

My next destination was Bugsy's gym. I gotta say I found no difficulty in any of the challengers there except for countering Bugsy's Scyther. It first used Focus Energy, then Leer, then blasted my Pokémon off with a single U-Turn. However, I was able to defeat him using my Togetic's Air Cutter. I obtained the Hive Badge along with a TM89 U-Turn as a result of winning him.

Lastly, I went to Ilex Forest again with my PCP in front of my party. I cut the tree preventing me from proceeding to the remaining part of the forest. Then, I interacted with the shrine there, and a Spiky-Eared Pichu appeared. It joined my party, and I took it back to my PC in Azalea's PokéCentre. I paused my journey there.

Today I had fun at the Bug Catching Contest, and won first place!! Hooray for Pinsir! It would have been sweeter if I got something better than a Sun Stone. :/ Then I entered the Pokethlon for the first time, and it seemed all right. I entered the Jump Contest with my Zubat, Butterfree, and Kadabra. I also beat Whitney, who SERIOUSLY hax'd me with Critical Hits and Flinches. Pesky Stomp.

Also, anyone know when King's Rocks are distributed through the PokeAthelon? I know where to get one besides the PokeAthelon prize center, but I'm just wondering.

I'm also looking for a Fire Stone to evolve my Vulpix. (Which will also be distributed through the PokeAthelon this Thursday.)

@Lite: Today! I think they are 3,000 points.

Anyways... I'm back from vacation. Here's what I did while I was gone.

- 20 hours of playing time (no-life for the win! ... Not to mention the 5 hour car trip there and back)
- Johto E4 deleted and all 8 Kanto badges in 1 day (5 hour car trip again ), Kanto E4 defeated the next day
- Lugia caught (Master Ball used)
- Lv. 98 Typhlosion!

I also got addicted to the Pokeathlon and all 6 of my party Pokemon have all 5 badges. Voltorb Flip was often something I did while bored.

The Kanto E4 (specificallyLance) would have been impossible to beat without Lugia, hehe.

It depends on the gym.
Some will allow it, others won't.

anyways, got all poke's to lv. 41, cept for 45 ho-oh of course.
Now you can see how much I hate just "training" without the storyline, as you can see how long this is taking xD

So far he is the only person to successfully beat me, out of my friends (4) and in-game people. I am now training and completing the pokedex with the help of Diamond, Platinum, SoulSilver, Emerald, Firered, Pearl and the pokewalker.

My my. Where do I start now?

I was battling wild Pokémon randomly in route 33 with my Chinchou, where it made a weird dance, then my trainer gave it a Shiny Leaf! Then, I headed to Ilex Forest, where I taught my Furret Headbutt. I caught some Pokémon by headbutting trees, including a level 6 Noctowl and a Pineco. After getting over Ilex Forest, I reached Goldenrod City, and boy how much time I spent in the game corner! Voltorb Flip is really addicting although I could only reach level 3 after a long time.

I also received my radio card, defeated Whitney, got the bike, and received my Squirtbottle in Goldenrod. Then, I headed to route 35, defeated the trainers there, and reached the National Park and Pokéathlon. I caught some wild Pokémon in the National Park, and then headed to the Pokéathlon. I literally spent more than 2 and a half hours there, collected 8000+ points, and made 2 of my party Pokémon medalists. I also made new records in 6 different events, and exchanged some of my Athlete Points for various stuff.

After all the Pokéathlon addiction, I reached route 36, where I caught 'the dancing tree', Sudowoodo, and also finished with route 37. After that, I headed to Ecruteak City, where I defeated the Team Rocket Grunt in the Dance Theater and received HM03 Surf. After that I received the Dowsing Machine, and found 3 hidden items in the city. Thereafter, I headed to the Burned Tower, defeated the trainers there, caught some wild Pokémon, and unleashed Suicune/Entei/Raikou.

Lastly, I went to Morty's (challenging) gym, and faced quite a good bit of difficulty in defeating him. He was actually the toughest gym leader to face me till now, as he was able to knock out 2 of my special attackers, leaving one only (the other 3 Pokémon are all pure physical attackers).

I pretty much spent my entire weekend between Mahogany Town and Blackthorn City. I love the Red Gyarados overworld sprite, it looks awesome in every direction it turns. Pryce didn't provide too much trouble, the fact that his team is weak to electricity and grass type moves made him possibly the easiest gym thus far. It also helped that my Pokemon were of a higher level then his were...so...yeah. lol

After I saved the people of Goldenrod City from the clutches of Team Rocket, I buffed up my team for Clair, and I didn't face her until Sunday evening. I love the redesign of her gym, and the cockiness of her entire troupe of trainers. It really gave the eighth gym the aura of being the best, while also being annoying enough where you wanted to strangle the haughtiness away from them. XD; I also loved how Clair reacted at the Dragon Shrine. Probably the highlight of the weekend.

This morning I decided I was going to capture Ho-oh, and the cutscene before it comes out to face you was beautiful. It really made fainting Ratatta, and running away from them worth it. I wasn't expecting the cutscene at all, because I first assumed the graphic on the box was just for show. lol After a lengthy battle, and over 20 Ultra Balls thrown I finally caught it. I was so relieved too, I was getting annoyed to the point where I almost used my Master Ball.

Then lastly, this afternoon I finally got my level 5 Eevee from Bill, and evolved it into Espeon at level 7. She's now level 25. <3 It was the first time I've evolved a Pokemon through Happiness within two levels so I got excited. XD;

Slowking (Minamimoto)
Onix (Rocky) (From the Bellsprout trade in Violet City)
Flaafy (Fricticio)
Pidgeotto (Eagle Eye)

I traded a King's Rock with myself to get my Slowking. Bread gave me a Fire Stone, so I'm going to quit whining about that. (I also got a Swinub named Lindsey out of that, which I intend to train and replace Rocky with, and use to sweep Clair.)

I'm noticing that a lot of my team evolves or will evolve or HAS evolved due to an external item, to be specific half of them do. Although, since I don't need to evolve that Onix, I couldn't care less.

Anyways, after I'm done training all my Pokemon, I'll be going off to fight Clair.

Meganium/Basil
Slowking/Minamimoto
Flaafy/Fricticio
Ninetails/Amaterasu
Murkrow/Le Fay
Swinub/Lindsey

No, I didn't name the Swinub.

Anyways, so I caught a Murkrow on my PokeWalker, brought it into my team, and I'm training it and Swinub right now. I also went ahead and killed time at the Pokeathelon. Surprisingly, my Slowking excels in the Speed category of Pokeathelon training.
