So, let's write up a rough draft.

RULES FOR FLOATZEL.NET TOURNAMENT:
1. Any Fourth Generation game from any region of the world may be used (that's right, Hg/Ss are free game if you imported them)
2. This tournament shall be conducted in a single battle format, in 6 on 6 matches, at Level 50 all. (For all of you that signed up later, we already had a poll for this. This is the way it is going to stay.)
3a. You may not use two or more of the same Pokémon or item within your team
3b. You may not use the item Soul Dew
4. The following Pokémon are not permitted: (the list is here: http://www.smogon.com/dp/tiers/uber. I'm not gonna list them out right now. It will be listed out in the final draft.)
5. You may only use legitimately obtained Pokémon with legitimately obtained moves. (Please be honest on this one.)
6. If there is some sort of problem, please contact a Tournament Official (not sure who they will be yet, but I have a pretty good idea...) and they will sort it out.

Tell me if I missed any points, please. Also, these rules are subject to changes, as this is what this topic is for

I vote Single 6v6. I also think that repeat Pokemon should be nixed. Only one of a species on a team.

i voted 6vs6. and for the pokemon, i think the all legends and ubers should not not permitted. itll be more fun with no legends and ubers are strong as the legends thats already on the list. lv of the pokemon is idk. this is just a suggestion. btw. im new to the site.

Latias and latios are legal however I think the item "Soul dew" should be banned for them.

Soul dew raises there already high Special attack and special defense by half. The item doesn't even restrict anything like choice scarf, or choice specs do.

I think that might be fair. I hear "Soul Dew Clause" a lot. You'll have to hear it from Ditto, though.

PBR lets you choose Lv. 50 All. I don't think there is a Lv. 100 All.

Remember, the Level rule only matters if you don't have anything above Level 50. Depending on how you set rules, all Pokemon will be reset to a certain level. We just want to know whether we should use 50 or 100, because it DOES make a slight difference.

PBR can put Lv. 50 All and Lv. 100 all if you set up custom rulesets.

You have to swap friend codes with other users. PBR also has that option to directly battle someone you know.

Why are the Regis allowed? I think those are legendaries. Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia, Latios and Latias too. Even the Lake Trio...

In the future, an Über Tier version will be the tourney of the month. So, that way, all Pokémon are allowed. But that's not this round.

Okay, bad news. I was messing around with the rules in Pokémon Battle Revolution, and trying to see if there was a rule to make it a forced Level 100 match... but I can't find a way. If you absolutely know a way to make it a forced level 100, tell me. For right now though, the poll is closed, and it's going to have to be Level 50 matches. I'm sorry, but it's the only fair way to execute this.

Do you yet have a decision on when the tourney will take place? Did you say Thanksgiving weekend? If so, be careful on Thursday. Many people are with their families and/or watching the football game.

I can't say for sure when I want it to be. My friend would like to participate (he's signing up on the forums tomorrow) and he doesn't have Wi-Fi, so I'll have to get him over here sometime. If I can't get him over, he just won't do it. I will try and plan ahead though. Most likely it is going to be somewhere around that time.
